There is much more to play in the zone unlock your performance than you may realise. The weekly recordings with feedback are incredibly useful, with weekly emails encouraging you to think about "your" performance and making the course work for you. Definitely recommend, I wish I had had something like this when I was younger, it should be taught to all young musicians to prevent performance anxiety.

Unlock Your Performance has been a most beneficial course for me as a professional musician and teacher. The course emphasizes developing one's mental game, which is as vital as developing the technique on one's instrument. The six-week Bootcamp, in which one presents weekly performance recordings, is especially enlightening and not to be missed! Mark is very dedicated in sharing his expertise and offers constant support and encouragement throughout the course, most especially during the Bootcamp. I encourage every musician, regardless of where you are in your musical journey, to give it a try. I am certainly glad I did; my music and my life have continued to change for the better!

The contents of the course are extremely valuable - it's interesting to go through the material, and applying it can very much improve musical performance. Moreover, Mark makes a huge and successful effort to make participants apply what they've learned. He is personally involved in the community and very responsive.

Play In The Zone - Unlock Your Performace is making a big difference in my ability to perform music in front of an audience. I was finding that no matter how much I practiced, I had intermittent problems during performances. My mind would occasionally go completely blank. Mark identifies key thought patterns that can cause this, and provides exercises to ingrain proper habits. This past week, I had a solid, concrete example of this. I ran into a problem and found I was experiencing exactly the thought patterns Mark outlined. I went back to the skills he teaches, and found it worked! This is a huge boost to my confidence in performing for an audience.

I have thus far read and studied all of the core modules. I am just starting the bootcamp this week. The modules were very helpful and I'm looking forward to really putting them into action. This course has been worth every penny thus far!

This course is very useful not only for a musician performing music but also in all other performance situations of his Life. The Boot Camp is a must because you put into practice the various exercices designed to help you. Mark provides constant support and help which demonstrates his dedication.

When I heard Mark's YouTube advert and he was describing the problem he solves, I felt as if he was talking directly to me, so I signed up. I find the exercises which he gives very practical in helping to overcome my nerves when I'm singing. I'm starting to perform better more of the time and enjoy it more. Thank you Mark.

The materials are plentiful and teachers and moderators are very attentive to all questions. It does require time to listen to the lessons and participate in the forums so do it during a slower period in your schedule. I made the mistake of joining at my busiest time of year and I'm having trouble keeping up. But fortunately UYP lets you go at your own pace, so it's not a problem. But probably would be more beneficial if the user can stay consistent with the lessons on a daily basis. That said, I find myself already being more musical during performances. My mindset is in a place I had never tried before. I can only imagine how much better if will be when I can dedicate my time more regularly.

A thorough and thought provoking course which is making a real and positive difference on my learning of and enjoyment of music.

This course is exactly what I needed. I gradually realized that what was holding me back from reaching the next level musically had more to do with the mental/psychological side of things that playing technique.

The course covers the important points in understanding nerves, performance anxiety, etc. It then teaches you how to deal with these step by step so that you can build self-confidence, focus, and the ability to recover from mistakes on the fly. The goal is to let go of ‘playing it safe’ and instead to ‘go for it’.

For me it was money well spent, and I wish I’d done it years ago.

I especially like that you’re not left on your own as you work through the material, but that you receive support along the way from the instructor and the forum of other students. And those include professionals and amateur musicians from around the world who have the common goal of mastering the ‘mental game’ of performance.

I think all this material applies not just to performance, and not just to music, but to life situations of all types.

A tremendous and well-structured course that I highly recommend for any musician or singer who wants to work intensely on the mental side of playing. Mark is an excellent educator, and the fact that he replies to your questions personally is a game changer. He also asks you questions on the way, which, to me anyway, is a sign of outstanding commitment.

It is cliché to say that these courses that aim to change behaviour are 'life-changing' but it is applicable here.

Commit to the work and you will reap rewards. I wholeheartedly think this course will improve your musicianship and will also give you benefits in other areas of your life.

Any uncertainty about signing up for Unlock My Performance was quickly settled as I started to review the class materials -- they covered so many areas that were impacting my confidence and enjoyment of performing. During "bootcamp", Mark's personal comments (to me and others in my group) were always supportive. He was never critical, but did offer gentle "course corrections" on a couple occasions to help me gain the most benefit from a topic. I have a lot of respect, not just for Mark's knowledge, but for his skill in effectively sharing it.

This is a great course - but it's not necessarily a walk in the park. Lots of great insights into how to prepare your headspace for the performance environment. The bootcamp puts the pressure on, and sometimes it is just difficult to fit into the week what needs to be done - but the great thing is you have access to the materials for life. So even if you have to skim a bit to fit it in during the bootcamp, you can (and will) come back to it - because the learning never ends.

This course is full of great ideas for approaching that long-hidden topic of how musicians think and feel when playing music. It de-mystifies, drawing on performance psychology from many different fields, such as sports, public speaking, and other high-pressure, performance-oriented activities. Listen up, it will help you, and you'll get more mileage from your work and playing.

Play in the Zone - Unlock Your Potential is of great value to me as a professional musician. My biggest struggle is with performance anxiety, and self confidence. Mark teaches many very useful techniques that address these problems head on. I am 3 weeks into the course, and am playing much better, and enjoying myself immensely. People notice and ask what is happening - I am in the zone often!

I am still very much involved in the professional music scene as a trumpet instructor and jobbing combo musician.
All that to say, I have found the course work and information to be extremely helpful and beneficial. Equally impressive and helpful have been Mark Morley-Fletcher’s personal interest in me and similarly, every student.

I will be honest that I was skeptical when I first saw this. Learn Jazz Standards held Mark in high regards. Like Noom, it uses a lot of behavioral techniques to train your body how to deal with”fight or flight” symptoms. Mark is very attentive. This is a worthwhile course.

I have learned so much at the "Play in The Zone - Unlock Your Performance"-Platform. The different courses there handled all the different aspects, one should know before performing on stage.
