Signed up with £1 promotion

Signed up with £1 promotion, admittedly I didn't read the small print and a charge was attempted on my card (luckily it's an account I don't have any money in).

I phone up customer support and closed the account within 2 mins.

Stay away!!!!

I signed up by paying £1. I had read T&Cs so I knew about the ridiculous charges. I couldn't find anywhere on the website on how to unsubscribe, it's very well hidden. I had to go onto 'my bets' which was in the menu section, the bit with about 4 lines in the corner (on android). I then had to click cancel on BOTH subscriptions, then cancel again and they were both cancelled. I've also gone onto my mobile banking to make sure payments are blocked after others saying they were still charged. Stay away from this website.

Cancel playlottery account

If you want to cancel your subscription here's how:
Go into My Purchases
Click "cancel" on a live bet
You'll see a pop up saying something like "stay subscribed", in small letter next to that it says "cancel"
click that and you'll cancel your membership.

I then received an email saying there'll be no more charges to my account but after reading these comments I'm going to call my bank and make sure all payments are blocked.

Misleading Scam

The terms and conditions state "In order to qualify for entry into the £1 introductory offer, entrants must be at least 18 years of age, and remain an active member for at least one draw thereafter. "

Remain an active member means you are added to a subscription plan and billed £15+ every time there is a draw.

Cancelling is possible via the site but it is very well hidden in the my purchases section. I would suggest complaining via e-mail, contacting your credit card provider to ensure any future payments are blocked and filing a complaint to the UK gambling commission to help do your bit to help get rid of scam sites like this.

Really disgusting company

Really disgusting company. Tricked into what I thought was a one time payment of a £1 to enter the lottery and was subscribed to monthly payments " Your EuroMillions Club subscription will renew on 22nd November 2017 at £11.90 per week for 110 bets. Your PowerBall Club subscription will renew on 22nd November 2017 at £9.00 per week for 52 bets. **Bonus Offer: Megamillions first draw free, your subscription will renew on 23rd November 2017 one week in advance at £7.90 per week for 30 bets. " This was hidden in the terms and conditions - okay they have mentioned it but how many people check Ts and Cs for this sort of confirmation. This should be obviously and massively displayed when asked for your payment information, not cowardly hidden in the terms. I am really quite appalled

Technically this is not a scam but …

Technically this is not a scam but the site uses misleading weasel words to trick you into signing up. The hidden charges are VERY costly and virtually impossible to cancel subscription. I had to contact my bank to cancel the payments as the PL website has no option to do this.
