I had been looking for a new Vaillant boiler and parts to install in a rental I own. Having priced up all the parts online from various suppliers, I was surprised that the Wolseley website provided the best price for each product I was interested in. I say surprised because in the past they have been very expensive. Not sure if this is part of the re-branding (Plumb Center to Wolseley), or that they are becoming more competitive, but regardless it's great that a none-internet shop can be used as I prefer to deal with people.
Having called my local branch in Ripon, Fraser was very helpful and provided a quote via email and advised that all the items were in stock. I made a trip to the branch and picked them up.
Best price and great, personal customer service. What more could you ask for?

I have had extremely brilliant service from Luke at Kettering
I myself worked for BQ for 34 years and
realise how difficult some customers are. This member of staff should be proud of his self.I have written this as it’s not very often a member of staff gets appreciated.

Used to do all my shopping here but after buying a boiler, flue, filter etc from them recently only to find Joe public could have bought it cheaper along the road at Screwfix I felt more than a little disappointed. I have done two more Worcester Bosch boiler fits since then both purchased significantly cheaper from other suppliers. I recently priced up a new circuit board from them for a boiler repair , the customer obtained one on line £80 cheaper delivered next day. I've had great service from my branch but their prices are now a joke.

Went into a branch to purchase a central heating programer, wa told it was on a ‘special price’ The price quoted was £15.00 more than what I normally pay, they wouldn’t budge on the price so walked out and went to another supplier and paid the usual price. I will give this supplier a big miss in the future as their so called specials just means “specially high”

This is in connection with the Eastleigh Branch.
Recently I understand that Wolseley have combined their different sectors into one. This has resulted in total chaos at the Eastleigh Branch. I ordered a very simple shower spare part. Having made the order via telephone, I was advised the part would arrive in "a couple of days" and that they would phone me to say when it has arrived. I never received a phone call. So I decided to pop into the branch in person. I was met by a good hearted lady behind the counter, who was very kind, but needless to say didn't understand the computer systems or the general workings of the new warehouse. I was eventually advised that the part hadn't arrived and that they would order a second one and give me a call like before. Another 2 weeks passed, so I went in person once again. This time the part had arrived, but was no where to be seen in the warehouse. There was no location number or anything. In short, it had been chucked on a shelf somewhere. I ended up in conversation with one of the managers, who gave me a spiel about how he had been doing 80 hours a week and that customer service is his number one priority, and how he hated letting customers down etc etc. He told me that he promised to put my case to the top of his list and that he himself along with another staff member would hunt for the missing part. I later returned a week later in person after no phone call, to find that he hadn't lifted a finger at all and that it was the same story all over again. The poor lady behind the counter hunted the warehouse herself, but to no avail. I eventually cancelled and left the warehouse.
This is absolutely unacceptable as my customer has been waiting over a month for her shower to be fixed. I have spent around 4 hours or so chasing Plumb Center in person/on the phone for this one part. Lost time = lost money. My business cannot afford time lost like this. Shocking.

Went to Ipswich branch and asked to buy faucet tap cartridge and a tap defuser. The guy said unless we know the tap brand name he can’t help but you can buy a tap instead. Now these were common products as we had the samples from our taps with us. We went to Grahams round the corner and found out these were front shelf products that you didn’t even need help to buy. The person at Graham’s was not only helpful but offered a discount. Total lack of interest at Plum Center and trying to sell us something we didn’t even need. Terrible customer services and no business sense! Never go there again!

As gas fitter and plumber for thirty years, I avoid Plumbcenter as much as possible. Extremely bad customer service, usually staff are rude and you will probably end up waiting 30 minutes per visit while the staff casually fumble their way through the antiquated computer system.
The worst thing about Plumb/Drain/Pipe Centre are the extortionate prices. the prices are at manager's discretion so each branch will sell products at different prices, can be a hundred pound when buying a boiler.
I had recently been overcharged by £200 on an order as I bought the boiler from a different branch than my usual. When I asked why, I was simply told there had been an error.
I really don't know how they stay afloat, other than the fact that they are the only company that stock the parts on the shelf. I was charged £54 for two 3 inch plastic elbows that cost £8 each on Ebay.
fortunately Selco are now Selling Vailllant boilers, so I no longer have to fund these crooks. (standby for the Generic meaningless response from Plumbcenter)

I share the same view as Adam. Ordered a Manhole cover 27/3/18 promised for 6/4/18 Checked before picking up, not in. Local store completely ignorant of facts. Help desk said something went wrong be in 11/4/18. Please send me updated details, yeah ok he said. No further communication so I cancelled and ordered on Ebay £5 cheaper arrived in 2 days on 10/4/18.

I ordered a boiler part online for delivery within 2 days. After a week I called up and they told me it was due to be delivered the following day. I phoned again the following week and this time they said the order had been missed by the local branch but would be delivered the next day. Guess what? No delivery. On the third call I cancelled the order. The call centre is fine - they answer straight away and are helpful - but the actual service is a pile of ...

I phoned up plumb centre stables corner branch and placed an order for vaillant heat exchanger to pick up from the shop. Paid in cash for it at the shop and when I took it home my gas man said I was given the wrong one, so when back and got it changed for the right one and only to be told by shop manager that coz I paid cash they can only get their head office to post me a cheque home within 5 working days. Now its 10 working days and not received anything, phoned the manager twice and at each occasion he brings up different excuse like he is been so busy and dont have time to phone head office and second time he said he is wating for head office to get back to him. I asked if i can have head office number to phone them my self directly hopeing i would get better customer service than that, manager replied no i cant give out their no. To u pal. What absolute joke. Is this a scamers company or what?

Boiler breakdown, without heating. Ordered a boiler online for delivery, didn't receive on the day of delivery, when rang, they said it's for collection on their system, ?why. No answer. Anyway went 30 miles for collection next day, told there is no such order at all! No explanation, no help, no sorry. Now in limbo. V poor service, no courtesy. Won't buy again.
Prompt response. Some further hitches, a lot of phone calls, anxiety and delay. Original question remains: when it was a delivery order, why wasn't it delivered? That caused delay of 5 days in this freezing weather. Finally upon collection further delay of an hour saying it hasn't been paid for which is not true!?

Had to pop into plumb centre Ripley as they were the nearest plumbing supplies to the job I was doing.
Just needed a float valve ( part 2)
Asked if I had an account to which I replied no.
Was then charged over £15.
Item is on there website for just over a fiver.
I’m not saying they are the only ones to do it but it seems if you don’t have an account you get charged whatever they feel like at the time.
This is why I buy most of our plumbing stuff from screwfix where I can see the prices and don’t have to rely on whether the person serving likes the look of me and decides to “discount” the item down to what it would be anywhere else anyway.
If it’s supposed to encourage people to open an account it diidnt it just encouraged me to drive to a screwfix or toolstation next time where I can see the prices before I buy

Took my money. Failed to deliver my item after making me wait in all day. Apparently it's out of stock.

I went into the Fishponds Bristol Plumb Centre on Saturday, as I needed help with a broken down wireless thermostat.
The Gentleman I saw was so helpful with sorting out what I needed (I didn't have a clue!) - excellent customer service, thank you very much. Elaine.

I am a regular ( daily) customer to your Preston depot. The staff are all likeable and helpful. However the new system in place for booking out orders is very slow and often crashes, which causes queues of other customers in busy periods.
You have recently made redundancies from the bathroom showroom but kept it open? Obviously if customers want help when looking for a bathroom there is nobody there to help them! This is of course means staff off the trade counter are then forced to leave the counter and help customers in the showroom. Of course this then slows up the trade counter. As you should be aware heating engineers, plumbers and diy customers are busy people and don't want to be hanging around waiting to be served.
Also certain members of staff are not trained up in inputting orders for the new system , which again slows things down.
Other than that fine!

Absolutely shocking company - stay well away !
Let you order - then "cancel" your order without telling you - leaving you with no boiler at the coldest time of the year!
Updated response :
The response that plumb center have provided is not accurate. The "email" they sent cancelling the order never arrived - the man working at the shop even looked through the emails and confirmed this was not there. On calling the online support team the team member told me the boiler had been dispatched , it was only when I proceeded to tell her that the shop said the order did not exist did she come back a few minutes later and say "oh yes so it doesn't !,. And then proceeded to tell me that as it was a Friday there was nothing she could do until Monday, took my number, said she would try and source a different boiler and a manager would call me on Monday. Leaving us without a boiler over the coldest weekend so far of the winter. High Five plumb center well done !!!
Then when the call never came on Monday I had to call back on Tuesday to be told " we called a number , I cannot comment if it was the one you provided or not ". They were also not willing to help in anyway or accept any responsibility for the chaos they had caused - blaming me as the customer . Nothing to do with the fact they are selling a boiler they do not have in stock. and baring in mind it has not been in stock since before Christmas and yet is still being sold on there website !!! complete con artists ! as they can offer you a different boiler - twice the price - completely laughable !
Seriously if I was you I would not even give them the time of day , they would not know customer service if they fell over them in the street!!

I made an order for a large number of radiators, due to be delivered on the 17th November 2017. Nothing arrived, no contact was made by Plumbcenter, I had to chase them to ask where my delivery was. I called the next day and no one really knew what was going on, why my delivery was late. I found out then a few days later via email, after me persistently calling that the branch didnt take my payment correctly so the radiators arrived today, 10 days late. I wish this was the final story with my dealings with PLumb Center but now, two radiators have not been delivered. I called earlier their support line, I was told that they would call me back and as I am writing this review, I see that no one has come back to me as it is now their closing time. I will update but PLEASE do not use them in future.

Ordered and picked up quadrant shower tray and riser kit but they couldn't find our bathroom fitters trade account online even though he had given his consent to use it, so I HAD to pay full price.
Three days later I returned the unopened and undamaged shower tray and riser kit as we didn't feel the surface on the shower tray was suitable and was told that they would take 20% off for restocking fee. Bearing in mind the products were unopened we were being charged for them to lift the items a couple of feet back onto a shelf!!!!!! I challenged this and stated I was unaware of this as it was not on the website when we ordered, neither was I told this when I collected and paid for the goods... BUT THEY STILL KEPT £50 OFF THE REFUND.....unbelievable :(
So, after losing out on £50 just because we felt the shower tray wasn't suitable for our kids, the staff also refused to give me my original receipt back claiming it had to go back with the order. Crafty one....so now we have no paper proof except on our bank statement....I honestly don't know how they are allowed to trade like this!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY - THEY TAKE YOUR CASH!!

stay away from this company. I would rate them -5 stars but there is not such an option for this. Being a loyal customer with them for more than 4 years we were ripped off on almost all purchase... Boiler parts are very often 200%-300% more expensive than sourcing them from other retailers. The only befit was that they stock most of the part in their high street branches... Another reason to avoid this company as a bad smell is very rude customer service. Whenever you call them they are very rude and arrogant. On one occasion we were late 10 days with the payment for the parts ordered with them and they took us to the small court straight away which has added more than £300 extra to the final bill. AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID ! Rude, unprofessional and ripping off !!! paul - Dulwich Plumber Limited

I recently purchased a Flavel gas fire online and then collected it from my local branch. First one came damaged with scratches and damages to back of fire. Staff organised a replacement. That came damaged as well, again unusable due to damage on the back section of fire again. Manager said flavel refused to send another. So we had to accept a refund. We were then told it would have to be paid by cheque, even though we paid cash, and we would have to wait two to three weeks for a cheque from head office. Completely unacceptable as we need to order the fire from elsewhere. The terms and conditions online state that consumers will be entitled to full refund when an item is damaged, however returned undamaged items will take up to thirty days. Returns policy also states that refunds will usually be paid in the same manner as payment was received (cash) however we have been told by branch manager and customer services that only amounts up to £50 can be refunded in cash. This is not stated anywhere in the advertised terms and conditions. We have been told some nonsense how they can't refund our £378 due to "money laundering" rules (???). It's strange how there were no concerns in accepting our cash payment, but alot of concern at paying it back! We have no fire and no refund, this is terrible customer service and no one seems to care!
