Completely unreliable.

I was tricked into ordering online by being constantly bombarded and even called with an offer of 20% off my first online order with the code FIRSTSHOP20. I waited until I had a fairly large order and then went onto their website to order. The code I entered was accepted but gave me absolutely no discount which on reflection is no surprise.
I picked a delivery date and then waited in all day for the delivery. 6 o'clock came and went with no goods and no contact. Having called their call centre I was told they'd get back to me the next morning to explain why and to give me an idea of when it will arrive.
I received a voicemail from a lady in their office who told me the reason it wasn't delivered the day before was because the driver ran out of driving time, and was assured my delivery would be made by lunch time.
12pm came and went and yet still no sign of delivery. I again called the call centre who contacted the local branch, who in turn contacted the driver. The only explanation I received was that I'm the next in line for delivery and it will be within the next hour. As I write this it's 12:47pm and I'm still waiting with absolutely no faith in the delivery being made on time.
Not only have I been tricked into ordering using a code which offers no discount, but I've let one customer down twice because of having to wait in for this delivery, and I've had to turn down two other jobs because I can't give them a time when I can get there. So I've now suffered significant financial and reputation loss, which as a small business is massively damaging. I've requested a formal complaint be made but I expect it doesn't get me anywhere.
The only saving grace in all of the for the company is that the lady who I've spoken to on the phone is very helpful, polite and trying her hardest to rectify the issues.

Safe to say I'll be reconsidering using Plumb Centre in the future.

Plumb centre leicester ( wolseley group)

slowest service imaginable. came in to order a shower and accessories. my order was typed into their PC whilst i waited . It contained omissions ( shower unit itself was left out. even though i was asked what type and wattage i wanted so had to re-order this later! ) . asked for an inward opening door and the wrong door was typed in . this which cost me over £160 to replace. after spending £800 or so with them no chance for a refund even though it was their error. i had a witness with me . most hard nosed and customer unfriendly company i have ever dealt with definitely one to avoid!

Terrible Service

Got first order wrong. Phoned prior to picking up reordered part and stated that it was in and had just been mixed up with someone else's order. Attended shop to be told part not arrived and denied phone call with other member of staff and wouldn't check with them. Really bad service and staff terrible attitude couldn't care less that had driven to store to pick up item which wasn't even there. Would never use this company again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Ordered part on Internet from Amazon and will pat for delivery.

pricey, but very good in emergency

OK, they aren't the cheapest in town, but plumbcenter are always their to save the day when you need difficult to source or unusual parts. used them just the other day to get some fitting for cheap toilet from a leading diy chain that came with duff parts. yeap, it cost the customer a few quid, but without that they would have had to get the parts redelivered and booked me for another day. ultimately that saved a lot thanks to plumbcenter and I came out smelling of roses too!

Very poor customer service

plumbcenter .co.uk cannot provide delivery dates on online orders. When contacting there call centre they provide a delivery date for the next week. They then call back and advise its a 4 week wait. On the given delivery date they fail to contact you to say they had a issue with supply of the products and its another 3 weeks. They when you clarify the date its another 2 days later. They then on that date dont contact you, so after chasing by phone they dont know if the product is ready to be delivered or if they have it. They then email the next day while the product is on route to advise its coming that day. Not only have you not arranged to be there but they only have one driver and the product is too heavy and they need someone at the address to help unload the product. Do not use this company.

Comprehensive Stock - But Expensive

Recently I have looked for two different items.
One was twice the price of a comparable item at a competitor.
The second item a piezoelectric unit I was quoted £33. After exclaiming that they must have something cheaper, I was told they did have one for £12.
Maybe the trade get a big discount, but for the public I think you should check this place against other retailers before purchasing.
