Be careful when using PM247 for an emergency callout
Following an emergency call out (for which I paid), PM247 quoted a total of over £900 to fix the (very small) problem. They wouldn’t break down the costs between parts and labour. I managed to get hold of my regular plumber who fixed the problem in 30mins for less than £150. If you use their emergency 24/7 call out, expect them to charge a fortune to resolve the issue when they know that you have to get the problem fixed as a matter of urgency.

Hi we just had our drains in the back…
Hi we just had our drains in the back yard cleared. As other reviews have said this company is a rip off. The engineer arrived promptly and without looking properly straight away wanted to charge nearly £600 for a straight forward drain clearance - no power wash or anything needed. Just a rod attached to the drill. I complained to the company and they reduced the price to £390 inc call-out charge which is still a rip off as the chap on the phone said the equipment they have to use is high powered and expensive! We paid as they did reduce the price but i would not recommend this company, The engineer was also not as polite as one would expect.

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with PM247.
Our bathtub was draining very slowly, and it seemed that there was a blockage somewhere in the pipe. I called PM247 to arrange a visit and explained the issue. I was told that I would need to pay £144 for an engineer to attend and unblock the drain, and that if any further repairs were required, I would be given a separate quote.
When the engineer arrived, he stayed for only about five minutes and carried out no work at all. Instead, he provided a quote of £594 for additional work. I declined this quote because we had a similar blockage in our kitchen a few years ago, and another company was able to clear it using a machine without any major repairs for £120
I then contacted the office and explained that no work had been carried out. I asked whether they could at least provide a partial refund of the £144 call-out fee, given that the engineer did not attempt to unblock the drain or perform any work. My request was refused.
I feel very dissatisfied with this service. Paying £144 for a five-minute visit with no work completed does not seem reasonable, and I feel that the service I was promised was not delivered.

Engineer attended job, gave quote for repair works, which we had to pay up front, then received a further call demanding more monies as they found other works to be carried out, this was not agreed. They did not complete the job and refused to refund any of the monies from quote provided. Will not use again. Very poor customer service. I believe this company takes advantage. Avoid Using

Ridiculous quote for a simple kitchen drain blockage
I have a simple blocked drain in my kitchen - and had the priviledge to pay for £144 'quote' for the actual work which would be £380 (which would have included the £144).
Ended up getting a strong drain cleaner product and did it myself.
Truly annoyed - and paid the £144 - with no result. Makes me feel like a numpty.

Horrible thieving company who are only…
Horrible thieving company who are only out to screw people out of as much money as they possibly can. I was charged £654 by this company for replacing a faulty heating element in my cylinder in relation to a leak I was experiencing in my property which was also causing damage to the properties below me in the complex I live in. Although I was told the work would resolve the issue for a while, it didn't at all as the leaking began from a different place (began leaking at the rear of the cylinder rather than the front where it was coming from originally). When I called back to explain the situation and request another plumber from this company to come out I was told I'd have to pay the call out fee and any further work would be charged accordingly depending on what was done even though I'd paid £654 just a few weeks earlier. I was quoted £3000 by this company to replace my cylinder and they then tried to pressure me to book the replacement job in with them even sending me payment links to pay half the cost up front and making follow up calls to me the next day when I had not made payment. I managed to get my cylinder replaced for £950 and if I was prepared to wait a few days more could have had it done for £750 which is a quarter of the price PM247 quoted me. I'll never ever use this company again in my life and I advise anyone reading this not to either. This company preys on people's vulnerability and desperation to get their plumbing issues resolved in order to try to take advantage and screw people over for as much as they can get out of them. PM247 couldn't care less about people's welfare and actually helping to resolve their issues, it's all about money to them. Avoid this company at all costs!

PM247 - Overpriced
We called PM247 as our boiler was leaking. They were able to come inspect our boiler that afternoon for a call out fee of £144. The reason I have given them 1 star is because they quoted us £1,400 to replace x 3 valves and implied there was a significant safety risk if we left them as they were (essentially putting the pressure on for us to go through with the repairs). When we informed them we would be getting a second quote they immediately offered us a discount £600. Thankfully we did get a second quote from a local plumber which came to £400 in total. The local plumber also told us the issue was not urgent and we did not have to replace the parts immediately but that they advised replacing them as they were are the old side.
