The local oprative was friendly and undertook the work effectively, however the principle company PM247 was less than helpful demanding an extortionate amount for the work before it coud started. the prices quoted were misleading and confusing. Also the work was only guaranteed for 30 days even though it was not stated on the receipt. the drains were blocked again after 30 days and they would not rectify unless I paid them again for doing the same operation

We needed a toilet to be urgently fitted for Christmas and couldn’t find a local plumber. The PM247 engineer came quickly and advised that we had the wrong toilet that he wouldn’t recommend fitting. So that part was ok but on the initial call I was never advised of the £144 call out charge I would have to pay - I did ask what would happen if they couldn’t do the job and I was assured that they would be able to do it, so I feel I was misled by that advice. Don’t be persuaded that they can sort your problem only to find they can’t and you have to pay £144 and the engineer won’t leave until you’ve done so!

It's here again..... wish I had read the reviews!
Don't bother with these people!
Tried to charge me £995.00 plus vat to jet was my drain that incidentally after a second opinion does NOT need anything doing to. I don't believe companies like this still exist. Clearly no consciences and just willing to take money from people for nothing. This literally sickens me.

Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
My mother in law called these out to fix a toilet leak, they quoted £800 to fix a tiny leak (other plumbers we had out have quoted £300 inc!) and they wanted payment up front, which we said we would but on credit card (as per their website it says you can) they kept sending payment links for debit card, phoned them and they said that it wasn’t working only debit card and bank transfer which we didn’t feel comfortable with, so we didn’t wanna go ahead with the job and just pay the call out charge of £144 for a TEN MINUTE look around, they turned rude and kept asking us why and then said they would drop the price, then tried to say we needed to pay more for the call out because he turned off the water when he didn’t even turn it off, we discussed it and he said he would need to when he did the job but he didn’t actually do it. Baring in mind the plumber was still at the premises the whole time and wouldn’t leave until we had paid. They then tried pretending the phone line was bad, and then pretended the guy we spoke to seconds ago was in a meeting, then sent a payment link that didn’t work and then we’re really rude on the phone when we were asking if we could pay over the phone as we wanted the guy off our property. I truly believe they were trying to hanging the time out to charge us over the 2 hour time slot. When we finally paid the guy still wouldn’t move off the property as he said we hadn’t paid (when we asked the person on the phone to let them know and they didn’t) he finally moved when we asked him to phone the company and check but then he just moved his van off our drive and across the road and just sat there!!
AVOID!

Initially I thought the service was really good because I had an emergency with the flush and the plumber was there within 2 hours and polite and knowledgable. However I did my research afterwards and realised the price I paid was super expensive. But also, the reason why I am taking now the time to leave a negative review is because I got a call from their customer care rep who asked me how the experience was, and I said I was happy with it, despite it being expensive. then she asked me to leave the positive review in exchange for vouchers. I did, emailed them a few times and never heard back, nor received a voucher. so I am quite disappointed, as I feel like I have been taken advantage of.

Very poor service. They took £144 in advance and they couldn’t find the leak. Am telling you, I regret calling them; my bad I have not seen the reviews before I call. Very disappointed

I SAVE OVER £470 BY SORTING THE JOB MYSELF!
Initially, I called PM247 following a google search, as my usual plumber was unavailable. My toilet was running through and needed internal parts replacing on a concealed cistern. It was not an emergency and I had already isolated the water in the cistern. I had also identified the parts that needed replacing. I phoned the company and was dealt with promptly and promised a plumber that day even though I said it was not an emergency. The friendly chap came around and looked at the job. I explained I had identified the parts needed and could he also do another toilet that had similar problems. I had looked at the cost of the parts on toiletspares.co.uk and the order would be £268.90 for next day delivery. The plumber went back to his van and within minutes I was emailed a contract and invoice from main office for over £950! This included the Investigation charge of £144.
When I phone the office, they were unable to provide a breakdown of costs or individual pricing, when I questioned the large invoice amount. I felt pressurised to sign the contract and was told that I didn't understand how the system worked. They sales person was extremely patronising and pressurising.
I understood exactly how the system worked... they were overcharging.
I wrote an email of complaint and requested my deposit back less the £144 call out for a non-emergency.
I ordered the parts myself and another local plumber replaced two toilets for £84.00. One hour work, and no call out charge for his initial visit. Even taking the hit on the £144 I still saved myself £450.
DO NOT use unless a dire emergency.

Poor business practice - very shady. I gave a very precise description of what the work would entail and I was given an indicative price for it. The plumber turned up and assessed the worked which was exactly as I described it previously, except that I had now removed from it the installation of a shower. So the job was now a smaller job. I was phoned by someone from the company who said that the job was now going to be £145 more than the indicative price. I said that the description I gave when they quoted me was exactly as the plumber had identified, except that the job didn't now include the shower installation so it should have been a cheaper quote not a more expensive one. The person said that the price is what has come up on the system. I asked why they didn't use this system when they first quoted me and his reply was that they cant use the system for quotes. I pointed out the problem with this approach as it is unfair and misleading as people are likely to proceed, even with the higher quote that is given on site as they now will have to pay a cancellation fee of £175 if they didnt agree to the higher price. Where the job is exactly as described then the price should not be changed. I think this is an exploitative and unfair practice. It reflects badly on the company to be operating these shady practices.
Dont touch them with a barge pole.

Do not use this company ! The people on the phone are very rude and unprofessional. They wanted £144 for call out which ok, I agreed to but I wish I read the other reviews before before dealing with these people. They need to be shut down. I do not need to say more as many customers have explained a lot on here already on how bad these people are. Once I paid them £144 for call out I had to tell them to stop contacting me. Very bad service

Overcharged for a small job, didn’t complete correctly, leaving a leak. Charged more to rectify

Over the top pricing.I arranged a call out the next day so it wasn’t really an emergency problem.Time was to be between 10-12 but turned up at nearly 2.There for about 90 mins( being a bit generous with that estimate )basically service a combi boiler, change the batteries( which i supplied)in my boiler controller.check to see if the radiators needed bleeding ( which they didn’t).Reduce the pressure in the system as it was nearly 2 bar and pressurised the system.charged £534,including about £80 vat and the £120 call out fee.And supposedly the bill was discounted ,by how much I don’t know, for the delay in getting to me.Harry, the engineer, seemed a nice enough bloke but I wouldn’t recommend this company to be honest. All anybody wants is a fair price for a fair job and I know about costs all going up but I think this company is over priced in my opinion.like other people, I wish I had done due diligence and checked the reviews first.Had I done,I would NEVER have gone to this bunch of thieves

The plumber turned up 2 hours after the expected time. Looked the shower and told me that he could disable it, not be able to use, or replace it. To replace it I was told that he would probably have to take the tiles off the wall so I would need to have it retiled as well. He contacted the office who gave me a quote for nearly £1000 and that does not include retiling. I of course rejected the quote but still had to pay the £120 call out charge plus VAT. Beware they do not tell you about the VAT extra. Called another plumber and had the work done at half the price and no retiling of shower cubicle was needed. Would never entertain using this company again

I had a hospital appointment and kitchen sink tap is broken due to it leaking. They told me on the phone it would be 120 to investogate/tighten/works. They sent someone out and didnt take a look just said it would need to be replaced entirely as tightening or changing valves rarely work (why would they not have told me this at the very beginning?!) They also sent out another company just draining or something similar. They quoted me nearly 600 pounds for a tap!!!! I told them absolutely no ans they still wanted 120!!!! As i had hospital appointment i paid 90 to jjist get them out. Tap still broken. Scam company

I had a very disappointing and confusing experience with PM247. When I called, I was told it would cost £144 (£120 + VAT) to drain the radiators and replace a TRV pin. At no point was I informed that this fee was simply for the plumber to come out and diagnose the issue.
When the plumber arrived, he inspected the system, went back to his van, and shortly after I received a call from PM247 demanding payment of the £144 upfront. Only then was I suddenly told that the actual job would cost £1,194. This was a complete shock, as none of this had been made clear beforehand.
To make matters worse, the company stated that the plumber would not leave my property until I made a bank transfer. This felt extremely pressuring and unprofessional.
The prices quoted were exorbitant, far beyond the typical market rate for this type of work. I would strongly recommend seeking out a transparent and honest local plumber instead. My experience with PM247 left me feeling misled and taken advantage of.

Absolutely outrageous cost....yes they send people quickly but at the end of the day if you have a plumbing issue/leak etc it's mostly important to get someone out quickly so they really are taking advantage of people. They charged my £120 plus VAT and after 2 mins of barely looking at my leak/small flood area, left my property to go to their van. After about 10 mins they hadn't returned and I received a phone call from their company saying to do some proper investigation I would need to pay £295. This is extortionate and I am sure a completely unnecessary price. I couldnt afford their investigation price so had to pay £144 just for them to have stood over the leak for 2 minutes. I think they are absolutely crooks and would strongly advise you do not use this company!!

Responded to an emergency callout, and also helped manage an emergency amendment to the original callout (due to a bit of a medical issue at my end)... still helping ensure this was the sameday despite the changes. The plumber was professional and courteous and the work was completed efficiently and well. Thank you.
