*My Take*
*My Take*
The Poetry.com is doing pretty well by being consistent with the collection of people's works, reviewing them and picking the best out of many. This singular act has challenged many to improve on their writing skills. That's on the positive side.
What I observe on the contrary is that, the company has given attention to those who are able to register with money and those without money barely stand a chance. There should be a section for those who don't have. They should also be encouraged through little motivation.

Poetry.com is - the pros greatly outweigh the cons
Overall I like the site and monthly contest. Poetry has become somewhat irrelevant to many people who much prefer a quick meme, screenshot etc. However when I even get some feedback for my work I appreciate that it is being read and inspiring thought or comments. Like some other users have suggested tho given the hard work most of us put into our writing I think it merits higher cash prizes
Poetry.com: Friendly & Supportive
Poetry.com has been very sociable, I've made friends easily and the support team is very good. Editing features for poem entry and navigability overall for the site continue to improve. So far the site has been the most user friendly of any I've encountered. I'm very happy.

Reasons why this is important to me
This experience is great because I put my poems where I would want them to be published. Not only to have it out into the world but to make my own book using my poems speaking from experience.

My positive experience!
I’ve been writing since I was in high school, and I was going to major in creative writing in college. But plans changed and I went years without writing. About a year or so ago, I discovered a few poetry sites that allowed me to get my poems to the public. This was actually the first site I found, and it has been a joy sharing my poems with the poetry community! I love reading other people’s work, and getting back feedback on my own. This has truly been a very positive experience, and I encourage anyone who loves to write to join. Thank you for letting me be apart of this loving community.

If you want to improve your site
If you want to improve your site, you’ll have to get people excited about poetry. To do that, improve engagement. Daily competitions will get your members engaged. Chatrooms will get your members engaged. A ranking system will make it interesting for members to take poetry more seriously. Eliminate the monthly contest. Rather, build up a contest with a higher prize pool. And, “all” of the buy-in money should go to the contestants. I know your company thinks it’s okay to use that money, but you’ll have to make sacrifices in order for a bigger prize pool. Do away with members voting; they’re not reading the poems, at least most aren’t. Rather, they’re picking the poems closest to the top. That system doesn’t work. Maybe have a panel of judges, including an AI? Set the AI to judge on most original and creative. In the daily contests, not all prizes are cash. Rather, some of those prizes are buy-ins into the contest where the prize pool is much bigger.
Answering question: I stopped participating in the contests because out of 250 participants, only 34 actively read my poem. I’m assuming those numbers were mostly the staff. It would be safe to say that over 200 contestants are not reading every poem presented, but randomly choosing three poems.

Poetry, anyone?
I enjoy posting my poetry on the site. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like it really gets much reading. I see a lot of great poetry there that has like two or three views so I kinda don’t know if it’s a place for people to post who actually want to have their poems read much. It also seems like a great place just to back up some of your writing and having it be available via a link for friends and family. All I wish they would clean up the site getting rid of like the classical poets et cetera that are featured there as well and only keep it for new modern emerging poets. My understanding is that the site had been down for a while and is now making a comeback so I do appreciate its efforts.
