Great company, so pleased to find a company that does everything and are reliable, professional and great at what they do.

So I posted a job on Checkatrade for a boiler service and decommissioning of a gas fire. Literally, on Sunday too, I had a response from this highly recommendable company. Jack sorted a time slot for the next day!!! Peter arrived after messaging ahead, always a good sign, and arrived punctually.

From start to finish it was a brilliant experience having Polkadot replace the heating system and boiler in our house. They chased out the walls and installed new pipework, leaving no mess behind. Danny, Peter and Ivor went out of their way to ensure that our heating system was fitted exactly as we had asked and were kind and courteous throughout the process. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service. Clear communication and pricing from start to finish. Submitted a simple form requesting to replace my taps, was then followed up with a call and booking confirmation. Engineer arrived following day and complete the works efficiently with a smile on his face. All round brilliant.

It was about a small plumbing issue. "Plug" bit sheared off the (wish-they'd-never-been-invented) mechanicl thingy in the bathroom sink – the press to open, press to close kind. So I asked them to remove the unnecessary mechanical gubbins and simply give us one of the trad rubber plugs instead. Yes they said. We fixed a time and that was it until they didn't show – at which a) I realied I foolishly hadn't given them an address! and b) that they foolishly hadn't asked me for one (except via an email that never arrived). I thens ent an email which also didn't arrive - dunno wat was going on there – so I phoned and we fixed a time again (address supplied). But they didn't make it - I called and the plumber was stuck on a long job (nobody told us). Polkadot office said they'd be an hour late and then did email to say plumber couldn't make it after all. So, on the phone we fixed a new day and time I checked they had the trd rubber plug we wanted and Polkadot office said they could supply it, that they are standard size. Came the new date and amiable female plumber was on time, cleaned out the U-bend as a bonus, but said the (two sizes of (!)) plugs she brought with her wouldn't fit – because they aren't standard and don't fit the mechanical plugs' size of hole. She hadn't been told that we wanted the mechanical plug gubbins removed, thought it was a straight swap of trad plugs. Anyway she installed one of those side-to-side "flip" type plugs which do fit plus get round the mechanicals and that was that, everything working fine for as long as we're spared we hope. So the two stars are for the plumber's resourceful efficiency on the day and the absent ones are for the office's eccentric approach to communication etc. Thanks for hearing me out!

Electricians arrived 10 mins after I made call. Did excellent job very quickly. I highly recommend them and will certainly use them again in an erergency.

Great team! Lovely workmen - turned up on time, fixed the problem and left the place spotless.

I needed some old non standard taps on my bath replaced. Polkadot first of all advised on the type of replacements I would need and then fitted the new taps. Sounds simple but the old taps needed cutting out and I also needed some remedial piping work under the bath which which was all done with the minimum of fuss. Happy to recommend Polkadot.

Polkadot are the go to for all our plumbing and heating needs. They are precise, honest and most importantly very good at their job. All the team in the office are efficient, the guys on the ground are polite, tidy and efficient. Couldn't be more impressed.
