I made the fatal mistake of “just popping in” to Teesside Porsche for a quick browse and be a little nosey.

I was simply minding my own business and looking around. Somehow, through what can only be described as Porsche sorcery, I ended up returning to collect a Porsche Taycan!!

My bank account is currently in counselling!!

From start to finish, the service was exceptional.
The lovely ladies on reception were so welcoming, finance expert Josh somehow made the finance side feel painless (or at least distracted me from looking too closely at the numbers!), Porsche Pro Ben explained all the Porsche techy stuff to me without making my brain hurt and Centre Manager Ross who runs a centre that felt calm, relaxed and genuinely customer-focused, came over to introduce himself and thank me.

And then there's Jav, my lovely sales advisor........

From start to finish, he was knowledgeable, professional, patient and genuinely lovely to deal with. There was never any pressure, no pushy sales tactics, and no hard sell. Just honest advice and exceptional customer service. The handover of my car was made to feel personal, memorable, and truly special.

So thank you to everyone involved. You've all played a part in helping me make a purchase that was definitely not on my to-do list...

...but I'm absolutely delighted that it did.

Visited to have a test drive in a Taycan, with no intention of buying. But Javid found me a great spec car and so I bought it.

Javid really looked after me, John was super helpful on the financial aspect, and I was really impressed with Ian who helped me understand all about the car. Even the receptionist Liz was fantastic and kept the teas flowing.

All in all a very smooth service, the team were very attentive and Javid even offered to pick the car up and return it, to sort a minor niggle, which I thought was great.

I’ve bought multiple Porsches over the years from various OPCs across the UK. It’s always been a brand I’ve trusted — not just for the product, but for the professionalism that typically separates Porsche from the usual car dealership experience.

Unfortunately, my recent experience at Porsche Centre Teesside was the complete opposite, and it’s important that others are aware of how this Centre is operating — particularly serious buyers expecting a premium level of service.

Here’s what happened:
• I reserved a vehicle via Porsche’s official marketplace. The confirmation clearly stated it was held until a specific date and time.
• I entered into direct negotiation with a member of the sales team. I expressed that I wasn’t interested in the offer as it stood — entirely normal in the negotiation process — but at no point did I cancel the reservation or withdraw.
• I then boarded a 14-hour international flight. During that time, and without any notice, the Centre unilaterally cancelled my reservation and sold the car to someone else.
• The only communication I received in response to my email before flying was an emoji — no acknowledgment, no formal reply, no warning that the vehicle would be released.
• I received no follow-up communication during the next 12 hours. I had to chase for an update myself, only to be told the car was gone.

To be clear:
• I never cancelled my reservation.
• I was in the middle of discussions with the sales team.
• I was not given the courtesy of a confirmation, deadline, or even a phone call.

This kind of behaviour might be expected from backstreet dealerships trying to hit quota — not from an Official Porsche Centre representing a globally respected brand.

What’s most disappointing is that this wasn’t just a clerical error or a misunderstanding. It reflects a clear lack of process, poor communication standards, and a dismissive attitude toward the customer relationship. When I raised the issue, the responses were slow, vague, and offered no accountability.

I’ve purchased many Porsche vehicles over the years. That doesn’t entitle me to special treatment — but it does mean I know what a good experience looks like. This wasn’t it. And if this is how long-term, serious buyers are handled, I’d strongly advise others to approach this dealership with caution.

There are many outstanding Porsche Centres in the UK. In my experience, Teesside is not one of them.

My wife & I both found our visit to Porsche Teesside a most refreshing experience. Porsche Pro James who gave us an extended test-drive was very knowledgable and sales advisor, Sarah was efficient, very pleasant & knowledgeable in our discussions. In our quest to find a replacement nearly-new Macan, we are finding the ideal spec is not an easy task.

I recently purchased a Porsche 911, and I can confidently say that working with David Singh was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Not only did he offer me an amazing price, but he went above and beyond to make the entire process smooth, transparent, and enjoyable.

What truly stood out was how valued and respected I felt as a customer. David took the time to understand what I wanted, answered every question with honesty and expertise, and ensured I was completely comfortable throughout the process. I would like to thank Teesside Porsche for providing an excellent customer experience during my recent visit for the interim service for my Carrera 911.1.
I wouild especially like to thank the senior service advisor Jade West for taking care of everything, from arrangimng the loan car to hospitality and above all I was given a thorough appraisal of the condition of the car, the service which was needed and there were some unexpected repairs which were completed with my approval. At each stage I was given a breakdown of the extra costs of repairs which were incurred and I was reassured that the costs were kept to a minimum. I had full confidence in the team and given the exceptional customer skills of Jade, I would recommend Teesside Porsche to any Porsche enthusiast and lover without any hesitation.

Purchased a car back in 2020, and unbeknownst to me, it was missing the car tracker fobs. Suveed sorted replacements last week and got me booked in at York to get everything paired. First class service.

David, James and Nicola were very professional and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble and the car with “all” its functions was explained and demonstrated.
The showroom was immaculate.
Coffee and biscuits were a bonus.
