Kickstarter backer (2015) still no product (2023)

Backed their project via Kickstarter somewhere in 2015. Since then we (the backers) have heard nothing but lies.

Each project update never went into detail about delivery expectations. Just random things no one cared about.

I guess nothing much has changed since, except it seems they tried to cover up their originel name (Slidenjoy) with a new one. But looking at reviews of people not receiving their order I can safely say their company is the same show it was 8 years ago.

As for the “unpacking video’s” and “reviews” Laurent mentions everytime: I would be surprised if they are carefuly selected accounts or involved people to keep the lie alive. I haven’t seen a single positive message on Kickstarter in any of their updates.

To Laurent, and others involved: you should be prosecuted and prevented from doing more financial damage to people. If you still fail to deliver a product after 8 years of running a company you’re a lie, a scam.

I might have been an idiot to back the project. But you guys are the absolute worst for still ripping of people in 2023. Take a look at your rating: a 1.3.

Just today an ad on Instagram passed by, reminding me of all his again. I don’t even expect a product anymore but it gives me so much joy to add my name to this long list of people that share their negative story with the rest of the world.

Laurent, You’re a joke. Slidenjoy/Portable is a joke.

P.s. be glad that Trustpilot filters bad language. This review ended up way more decent than it should have.

I ordered a year ago - still no product. They do not provide updates while you wait and if you chase it is a rolling 2 months and you are the next batch to ship - lies.
They product may be good but how will I ever know if they never deliver it.

The hinge on the back of my Portabl broke the second time I used it…

On August 9, 2015 (yes 2015) I provided €373 to support a Kickstarter project called Slidenjoy, then renamed LeSlide now called Portabl. At that time the Estimated delivery was Dec 2015. Nearly 8 years after my Kickstarter payment, I received what Portabl referred to as V2 of their add-on screens. After reading the e-manual and watching the video instructions I set up the screens and started using them. The second time I tried to open the hinge that holds the screens up it broke. I wrote to Portabl asking how this can be repaired or replaced. After my 3rd attempt to contact them via e-mail, I got this response:

“Thank you for your patience, I've received a response and unfortunately, it looks like there's not much we can do for you here. The material debate is not due to normal wear and tear; the Portabl team has done extensive strength tests on all of the Slides combined with regular use for years, so this kind of damage can only be due to a fall or abnormal use of the foot and is therefore not included in our warranty conditions.”

I did not drop or abuse this product in any way - I only tried to use it as outlined in their instructions.

Needless to say, after waiting nearly 8 years for delivery and then the hinge breaking the second time I used it without any attempt by the manufacturer to repair/replace it I do not recommend this product!

Utterly disgusting service. Ordered in 2015 and still waiting. Repeated broken promises from this company over and over. A total joke of a scam company. Name changes and new websites all to avoid having to deliver the product to those who paid for it. Avoid at all costs and watch out for the countless other companies the founders also "run".

Super Duper Cheats...do not buy !

More than 6 months since i made the fatal error to wiring these cheats my money.
No track of product and no tranck of my money

BEWARE These guys are super cheats.
Now they also have revamped their website and increased the price. What for?
The product never gets delivered the money is never returned...all you get from them is a templates response , as i am pretty sure, the "CEO" will send to this post of my mine

Ordered May 2022

Ordered May 2022, fast forward a year, May 2023 and still no product. Paid in full at time of purchase and for a year I've been told 6-8 weeks, except today, the customer service rep told me they didn't have a time, no idea when I will receive the product.

Major concerns

I ordered in May2022. Followed up on numerous occasions always promised that I would receive the device in 6 - 8 weeks. I started requesting a refund in January 2023 with no acknowledgement or money back. I continue to chase but confidence is low. A shame as it looks like a great product.

Under NO circumstances should you do business with this company!

Purchased 6/13/22. Today is 5/15/23, still no product nor refund. Many conversations via chat and email only to be told how far behind they are in production and always promises to fulfill my request. Every communication receives a different reason for the delay - obviously all replies from the company are bogus. In today's chat with Lillian I was told I'm on the "refund list" and she had "moved me up the line as a priority". I've contacted an attorney and expect to move forward with legal action.

While Not Quite A Scam, You Definitely Need To Stay Away

Ordered their product last November. Waited 3 months and product was never delivered. Requested a refund and have been getting the run around for months with no refund in sight

I've unfortunately ran into companies like this before. They are clearly an extraordinarily small startup venture. One of two things is happening:

1. They are so far back ordered with their product that they dont have the manpower/facilities to produce them all and its vastly delayed (this is most likely not the case)

2. They are near absolute bankruptcy, which is why they can't give anyone their refunds. They have spent it all on advertising/marketing/etc. and have no ability to give back the money. It's clearly a very poorly mismanaged venture (this scenario is much more likely)

Regardless, do not purchase their system. Considering they KNOW they dont have the ability to produce the product on time and are still claiming to anyways, I am working with a lawyer on a class action lawsuit to hopefully help get people's funds redistributed. Best of luck to everyone

Scam!!

Scam!!

I ordered on Slide'n'joy (old company name) nearly 3 years ago. Than 6 month - nothing.
I requested a refund. Answer "Sorry we don't make rafund".
Than the site disappeared. After a while I discovered the new company side. I could also rewoke my old Account. Still on "in progress".
Than I requested a refund again. This time they said I just had to fill out a form and get my money back in 7 days.... that was 2 month ago. No reaction since than. I tried to contact them. I tried to contact and received the answer: "We the billing department has been absolutely swamped with refund requests lately (trust me, there are a LOT) and since they are a small team working on a huge backlog of requests, and they are trying to do right by each of our customers, these processes end up taking us a little longer than they should."

Don't trust this shop, no matter what the fake revies trying to tell you.

Update: 3 month - still the same pathetic answer. "please wait"
how can they sell something, if they are not capable to make a refund for not delivering anything...

But it seems, they are paying a lot for marketing. At least you know, where your money is spend.

Total scam!

Bots answering and even hear when the so called Laurent answeres it’s an AI or a scripted answer. On Monday I will take legal actions. Interpool

Been waiting since 2020

Been waiting since 2020 - every 8 weeks I email and it will be another 8 weeks. This was originally slidnjoy and they changed their name due to all the bad reviews.

Portabl a scam ?

Ordered my slide back in august 2022. Nothing received so far. Keep mailing them and still hope on a refund of 640 euro!!

Its simply a scam

So they say they will refund within 5-7 days after recieving the form .

And then they came back with this. I hereby confirm it is a scam. Total scam. Portabl have no intention of refunding at all.

We are deeply sorry for the delay with your refund, it must be frustrating to get a vague answer with no certain date or even estimate timeframe for the refund. Sadly we don't have a timeframe for when the order will be refunded. However, we can guarantee you 100% that your order is safe and will be refunded.

The huge number of refund requests we have received over the past few months is the only reason for this delay. Our production delay puts us in a very bad situation.

All of our customers will receive the product and all of the refund requests will be refunded.

Again, I know this is not ideal, we didn't want this, but your deep understanding is appreciated

SCAM ALERT!!!!

I ordered their product and had to cancel it because it wasn't going to get in time for when I need it. I requested for a refund on January 2023 and I've been sending them an email about the status every month to see why it's taking that long to give me my money back for a product I never even received. They keep saying to give them 2 weeks but nothing still happens in that 2 weeks. I think that's how they operate, they just email customers to give them more time and next thing you know, it's been 5 yrs later and they still haven't refunded you.

They don't ship

I order the 5th of November 2019 (yes 4 years).
Never had any shipment.
Every 6 months, I send them a message to ask what's going on and they answer to wait 6 months more.
They refuse to give a refund.

Edit following Laurent answer below: I already contacted the support several times and each time I had a nice, polite and different excuse.
If you are really honest, please edit your website clearly and mention "As of May 2023, we have a backlog of 4 years, please take that into account if you want to order".
I will edit again when I receive the product or when it will be mention clearly on your website.
