Avoid at all costs

Terrible service yesterday 10/06/26 at Post Office George street , Richmond. The older man on duty was so rude. There is a way of speaking to people and no matter how stressed you are there was no need for the way he spoke to me. On Google it says that Richmond branch deals with vehicle tax and check documents and give you a receipt. The man shouted we don’t do it and I don’t care what it says on Google , he was vile. Why give out V10’s if you have no intention of checking the documents for customers like it says on Google? The form says you can’t post it without post office checks so I Qued up twice for nothing, and wasted an hour doing so, il never go there again whilst he works there.

Data breach leading to comms to my dead dad.

Mercury Holidays have sent my dad brochures for a long time. When my dad died, his mail was redirected to my address. When the redirect stopped, Mercury somehow by magic sent brochures addressed to my dad direct to my address. I called them to ask how they’d managed to do that, was promised a call back and nothing. They’re still sending brochures to my house, addressed to my dead dad, exactly what I want while mourning his loss. This company couldn’t care less. I’m assuming they’ve bought the data from the Post Office, who also haven’t replied. They won’t stop sending them, despite me asking. Such disrespect. No one else knew the connection except the post office, so be careful what you share with them.

Mostly bad service by the female staff

Mostly bad service by the female staff. I get told to move aside to fill a cash deposit envelope so she can serve someone else. Totally disgusting behaviour as I waited my turn and then got moved away. I then have to re-join the queue. I avoid certain locations due to the rude and poor staff. I now travel further a field to a much nicer bunch of staff.

Very poor service and will never use again.

Well, these people's reviews say it all! I go in there and ask to get a letter to a certain place in the UK. They gave me the most expensive way - to pay £9.95. They will always try rip you off. You have to know exactly what and how to say it, otherwise they will give you the most expensive way of sending. No more help like they used to years ago when they used to give you all the options. Now, it's your duty to know all the options before asking! Only a rip off wherever they can. Their attitude in there is all on themselves - no true help or support or advice at all.

consistently fails to deliver

Over the past 4 years they consistently failed to deliver a single parcel to my address. often they claim that 'no one seemed to be in' when i was there waiting. when i go to the actual office to collect, the wait is usually about half an hour. last week there was one ring on the doorbell and by the time i reached the door the postman had left without leaving the parcel. i chased him up the street and he claimed that he 'repeatedly rang the bell and waited ages !!!!'. a nightmare to deal with and unacceptable service

POST OFFICE CAR INSURANCE.

POST OFFICE CAR INSURANCE.
The Post Office stole from their LOYAL Postmasters.
For the past 18 months, my car was insured by the post office. I phoned with a query, my 2 initials on the policy
were the wrong way round. I was asked to pay £28 to alter this, I refused and have had my policy cancelled.
Pretty disgusting behaviour. I have a new policy with the AA, they DO NOT charge for alterations.
Never would I insure with the post office again.

The staff who work there are…

The staff who work there are Elton Road Post Office / Derby
Very unprofessional, especially the Red Hair lady who ‘ represents the Crown’
Rude, with attitude lies and not bothered to help customers when they have made the mistakes themselves. I will not go back there again neither is my family. This post office should be considered and checked properly on how their Employees are behaving. Thanks

Why do most of the the branches I’ve…

Why do most of the the branches I’ve been in look so dated and dingy, why is there always a queue, why when I’m in the queue am I now getting adverts on a TV screen (financially incentivising queues….)

When I get to the front of the screen told that its more expensive to buy at post office than online, someone tried to charge me 15 instead of the correct 5 rate and then when you complain you have to leave a phone number (why? you don’t bother to ever answer yours)

Finally when you submit the complaint you get told to expect a longer wait than normal as they are busier than normal - this is their default

You long ago stopped being a service and became retail - the very least you could do is vaguely resemble a pleasant experience rather than the unpleasant chore you are

Poor service!

Travelling to an all inclusive resort in Turkey, so ordered some euros just for "tipping". Ordered 500 euros, 400 of which were delivered in 50 euro notes! Now that's a big tip!
Also ordered some Turkish Lira - 13,000 lira (£200) all arrived in 300 lira notes £3.25)!
When collecting from the P.O. I asked if the euros could be broken down into smaller denominations, to which the reply was sorry - no!
Bring back the Banks.

My experience at the Crookhorn post office

My experience at the Crookhorn post office today was a taste of gross incompetence personified. It was another dose of an earlier experience of staff who would not deliver service and attempted gaslighting. The quality of work at this outlet is a letdown to the standard service delivered at other outlets in Waterlooville. When a post office becomes a set of sorry excuses, it leaves customers with bad taste.

Staines New Post Office

This review is purely for the new Staines Post Office. I’ve been in several times since opening and have to say, the staff have been nothing but helpful and courteous. I was pleased to experience good customer service, which is non existent in the UK at the moment with a lot of companies.
The staff really helped me save money where I could with providing various options for posting. I hope they are here to stay. Please support if you want to keep your local post office.

I asked for £500 in Euros to be put onto my travel card and she put it on in GBP and charged me £7.50 for the priviledge.
Every time I go in there they are so miserable and huff and puff when they have to count cash.

Reliable delivery

Very good service from Royal Mail. My new passport was delivered safely on 4th June, and I was kept updated throughout. They attempted delivery twice while I was at work, and the final delivery was successful without any issues. Really appreciate the effort and the reliable communication. Many thanks for a brilliant service.

Waste of time and money!

I went to our local Post Office which is situated in the Co-operative store in Long Sutton. This was a week ago, and I wished to post two birthday cards to my twins grandchildren. I decided so that they would not be disappointed if one should be delayed, too place both cards in one large envelope. I had it weighed and paid the appropriate first class postage. What a complete waste of time, and money! A week on, and now three days passed their birthday the cards still have not arrived!

What is the post office doing? The postage price is ever increasing, and the service is getting worse! It’s criminal, and no wonder people are finding other ways to send messages etc. I thought that 1st class was meant to be a next day delivery in most cases. I doubt now if my cards will ever be delivered. I’m a pensioner, and the post office has cost me money I can’t really afford for the cards they have lost, plus their excessive charge for 1st class postage!
