I love pray.com as a tool

I love pray.com as a tool to give me easy access to spiritual content. It helps me with my daily Bible study. I knew the cost when I signed up. I love the meditative prayers. It is teaching me how to better focus and concentrate on the word of God. I don’t listen to every speaker/preacher on the podcasts because I don’t agree with all of their doctrines and teachings. My advice is if you’re new to the faith, ask someone you trust and know is sound in the faith for their advice. I can always ask my pastor. He will give me his opinion and back it up with scripture. Many of the podcast authors are very well-known and most mature christians will know something about their doctrine. But always compare what teachers/preachers/speakers say with scripture. If there is contradiction, you should avoid listening to them.

RipOff.

RipOff.
This in an unethical business. I already suffered through one year of an accident sign up. I paid the $54 or whatever it was. Now it has shown up again and I DID NOT AUTHORIZE IT. I will not pay that. You should not have access to my credit card. Also it seemed that the App supplied Bible stories by Mr. jones but NO that's EXTRA. The app was also hard to use. Very deceptive practices. Furious that this "Christian" company is ripping me and many others off.

I really have enjoyed the stories and…

I really have enjoyed the stories and reading through the Bible but, there needs to be more sleep stories added and narrated by a soothing voice. I have a hard time sleeping and have listened to everything over and over again and it’s gotten so I would like some new sleep stories.

Grateful to have found this app.

I love this app. In a world of bad news and stories I would rather not hear, this app brings stories to life from the most important book in human history. I don’t use the app for basic Christian edification, I use it to keep my mind flooded with vivid descriptions of the Word of God. It is not free and evidently difficult to get a refund but that doesn’t matter to me as it’s a $60/yr ($5/mos) well spent for my improved mental health. Thank you Pray.com for bringing access to the Bible into the 21st century.

Last year I signed up for trial and I was accidentally charged $59 for premium subscription, so they said. They offered me a discounted price, I told them I didn't want it at any price, they finally refunded. Today, a year later I was charged another $59! No phone, no live chat, said I was authorized to make donations! Are you kidding?!?! Be ware pray.com!!!

James Earl Jones version is back! They listened and they show they care.

I have had a great experience with them. I LOVE their sleep stories to help you fall asleep. I LOVE the daily prayers, the faith-based podcasts, and I love having the audio version of the Bible. So, I was pretty upset about James Earl Jones being taken down and I reached out to their support, got a fast response and it was explained to me that they add new content and take old content out. I told them why I - and many of you here want James Earl Jones reading the Bible back on there - and mentioned their advertising campaign and that many of us joined because of this and then it was gone. They emailed me back today and said they are putting the James Earl Jones version back up!!!!! They do have good customer support and are listening. Also, I love the groups you can join and that you can ask for prayer on there. All of us need prayer and having another prayer warrior networking tool is a great advantage. For me, it’s worth the annual fee because I couldn’t sleep before I found this app and now I’m falling asleep in peace and sleeping better than ever in my life.

Unfortunately

Unfortunately, pray.com is a great concept but gives voice to many speakers that are not true to God's Word or the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I cannot recommend it. Beware seekers and new believers.

I didn’t know you were going to charge…

I didn’t know you were going to charge - I thought it was free. I want out now because I don’t use it at all! I have called my MasterCard and told them not to let you charge me . My three months are not up that is supposed to be free so please don’t let this get messy. They told me I would have to dispute it or something but I will just let my lawyer handle it. I couldn’t find a place to contact you except to write a review and there were hundreds it seems and they are all negative

Redo this app to make it usable

I don’t know what to do. I have had the PRAY app several months and get very little use. I can’t find a menu that takes me where I want to go. It is pretty much useless. I cannot find anything. I would love to be refunded. Pretty screen that takes you nowhere.

What just happened?

What just happened?! I just downloaded this app and played it one time and got charged $49.99. I never agreed to this! I cannot believe that you can download and app and it charge you without agreeing to that amount.

Pray.com

LaDelhia Hall
I paid for a subscription only because of James Earl Jones reading the Bible in September and now they have switched it to Charlton Heston. I don’t want it without James Earl Jones on there. I agree with whoever wrote it’s a bait and switch.

Bait and switch?!?

Purchased as a gift for my aunt. She wanted to hear James Earl Jones reading the Bible. When I paid the $49.99 she was able to listen. Now it’s been a couple of weeks and she cannot find James Earl Jones reading the Bible...nor can I. If it is no longer a feature I want an immediate refund! Why was there nothing on the website stating it is no longer offered? Horrible customer service!

Bait and Switch…

Paid for full subscription on February 2, 2021 because it included James Earl Jones reading the Bible. As of today, that is no longer on my app. It’s a scam or the old bait and switch, trying to get a refund because it’s only been a month.

Beware

Not bad. Only just got it so don’t know from reading other reviews if it will rip me off. However their interpretation of the Creation was interesting. On the one hand it brought home the power and the majesty of it on the other it was blasphemous saying God brought life to a chaotic world. Know your Bible and take it with a pinch of salt. Be aware and be present when using it.

Terrible ... I paid for full app use and never have seen the benefit. Also, my year isn’t up until September that I paid for and the app isn’t allowing me to use it.
