From a service writer's standpoint this is by far the best warranty company to work with. They are fast and friendly.
Also unlike most warranty companies, with PWI I don't feel like I am talking to lawyers trying to trip me up so they don't have to cover something on our customers vehicles!

You only pay $90.00 per hour for mechanical. None of the other warranties we deal with have a reduced labor rate. Not good customer service for extended coverage.

Just another warranty company that says one thing and does another. They cover the rental BUT not until the the vehicle under warranty is actually being repaired. To bad the part takes a week to show up! Oh and by the way they don't cover enough of the rental charge per day, once the vehicle starts being worked on.

Phone was answered right away. easy to get to a advocate through your prompts. Advocate was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Time to approve Claim was excellent and time to pay was within 30 minutes of me submitting final paperwork. Can't ask for more than that from any company.

I wasn’t able to use my pwi warranty as my vehicle is totaled I have been trying to get a refund on my warranty which I am entitled to. Pwi wants the vehicle info, mileage and date of loss which is pretty simple except they will only accept it from the dealership I purchased the vehicle or the lender. Neither of them have this information they will get it from me or my insurance company. So why not just request it from the insurance company? I have left messages, sent emails and even spoke to the account specialist at the dealership yet nothing has been sent. Of course they are the ones to recommended PWI this seems like a scam to avoid returning funds to customers. I will be filing a claim with bbb.

Your company was the easiest and best warranty company that our shop has ever dealt with

Do not use them. They will jump through hoops not to pay to fix your vehicle. Even if it is in the tier you are paying for. Then when you ask for a refund they will say they can't because it's been over 30 days, but their customer service will tell you they can after the 30 days but beginning of "Warranty" they they can do prorated refunds.
We took the truck into shop, got them to call PWI, they had inspector come out and tried to say it was just carbon build up, then Wanted the engine broke down and decided they wouldn't fix the problem and gave us and dealership the run around. They cost us more money and truck isn't fixed. Do not get their warranty!!

On May 15th I dropped off my 2017 GMC Yukon for an issue with the motor at my local dealership service center. After troubleshooting the problem, the service dept contacted me about making repairs. I told them that I have a warranty for repairs. The service center contacted the warranty company (PWI) after they had diagnosed the problem. PWI then told them that the warranty had expired. The service center asked when the warranty expires and PWI said on May 17th. The service center stated that the SUV had been in the shop with an open repair order on it since May 15th. PWI stated that they should have called them once they received the vehicle in service and refused to open a claim. The service center contacted me about the issue, and I then made a call to PWI. The customer service agent was adamant that it was my fault for failing to contact them the day I dropped off the SUV which I was unaware that I was supposed to do. After getting a copy of the contract it says to call PWI when repairs are being made not when you drop off your vehicle. Since the service center did not know what the needed repairs would be at the time without troubleshooting the cause of the problem this does not constitute a repair call to PWI. Also, I was contacted by whom I thought was PWI on May 9th about my current warranty and was asked if I wanted to extend it. The rep asked if I wanted to continue my coverage, I explained to him that I am in the process of taking my SUV in for service and that I would see how they handle this claim first. He told me that as long as I get it into service before the expiration date and have the dealer open a repair order, I will be fine. At that point, that's what I related to the service center to what was told to me. The PWI rep told me that that was a third-party company selling their coverages and PWI doesn't sell directly to consumers. I told her that company is giving misinformation. The SUV is still in service awaiting repair.

The woman I spoke with was fantastic, sympathetic, kind, friendly and so on. She listened to me when I cried on the phone when I found out that Bertera Subaru in West Springfield Massachusetts lied to me about preferred warranties not covering any repairs on my vehicle. She had a lot of empathy. She even helped get that dealership off the list of repair shops. Unfortunately I didn't get to really use preferred warranties cause my time will be up soon. Thank you to that sweet woman I spoke with.
