While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Steph in Wakefield admin

Dealing with Steph in Wakefield admin has been a pleasure. absolute star who dealt with the problem head on until a resolution was found. Steph represented herself and the company to the highest standard. I deal with the company regularly and is consistantly straightforward, however its when something goes wrong that the cream rises. Steph thank you for your service.

I ordered a new boiler from Toolstation…

I ordered a new boiler from Toolstation on 29th April 2024 then Primaflow failed to deliver it in 3 days without leaving any postcard. I went to see the staff at Toolstation at Leyton...the male staff tried to help me out as i am deafness by birth. He said that I have to call them direct.

I forced to ask my hearing friend to call Primaflow to find out where is the boiler... Guess what the staff told my friend that there is no record of purchasing my boiler! I was fumed because I booked a gas engineer on that same week. Then Primaflow staff mentioned that I should cancel a gas engineer appointment because they do not know their driver's expected delivery time.

Overall result was very poorly in communication from Primaflow and toolstation.

Bye!

Absolutely awful experience and tries to get you to sign away your rights under pressure.

Summary:

Absolutely awful experience and tries to get you to sign away your rights under pressure.

Point 1:

Asked to sign "goods received in good condition" upon delivery with primaflow for an item I bought with Wickes. I told the driver that I can't sign that unless I remove all the packaging immediately to thoroughly inspect the item. That would take a long time because it was a very large and heavy item surrounded in packaging. Even bringing it from the door to inside the house, let alone turning it.

They told me that I have to sign or they would take the item back. I told them to take it back because I'm not signing it. At this point, they left frustrated without taking the item back.

This feels like a scam. By law, the retailer (and probably the delivery company if the retailer got insurance for delivery) must accept free returns if the item is faulty. But, they pressure you to sign "received in good condition" immediately so they can later argue that "you signed that it was in perfect condition, so any faults must be ones that you created, no refund".

Point 2:

The delivery note which I had to sign also says in bold writing "any delivery problems must be reported within 2 days - See terms and conditions". To me, this seems like an attempt to override the Consumer Rights Act which gives you 30 days to return a faulty item for a full refund with no cost to yourself, if you bought it online. It wouldn't hold up in court and you can't sign that right away. But it gives the impression that they would fight tooth and nail to avoid refunding you unless you actually took it to court.

Worst customer service ever

I have phoned the Bangor branch twice and have endured the worst customer service imaginable.

I phoned the branch and asked the guy to have a look at a product for me to ask a specific question to which he responded 'thats all the way at the back of the shop'

The next time I phoned the woman on the phone tried to draw me into an argument, totally needless.

Crazy attitude in this day and age.
