I had to call principal insurance today regarding my policy, and I was met with a very lovely well spoken person called queeny, who helped me today with my inquiry and helped me resolve my problem. She was very patient, respectful and incredibly helpful over the phone today and I appreciate how quickly and smoothly she was able to resolve my issue and she represented the company very well 10/10 experience would definitely get insurance from principal again , friendly staff, quick response, helpful and informative ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Almost impossible to make contact with them once you have a policy. Every time I call they say 'they are experiencing an unusually high call volume'. When you try webchat you get 'We currently have no available agents, please contact us during office hours on 0330 024 1730.'
Will definitely not be using them again!

It took a very long time to answer my call, well over a hour.

But Ashley Croft did a great job, and good price.

Easy straightforward process. Competitive pricing.

I took out a motorcaravan insurance policy which started on 1.5.26. I then cancelled it 49 days later. I paid £460.41 for the policy and this was the cancellation fee breakdown:

Return Premium (GWP Inc IPT): ￡310.02
Insurer Canx Fee: ￡16.80
Addon Refund: ￡0.00
Nominal Fee Refund: ￡0.00
Discount Clawback: ￡53.45
Commission Clawback: ￡45.81
Broker Fee: ￡62.50
Refund Due: ￡131.46

So I paid £328.95 for 49 days cover. That's extortionate, immoral and unjustifiable. I'll be speaking to the insurance ombudsman about this..

If there's any possibility that you may need to cancel your policy mid term, don't use Principal insurance, or you'll get robbed, like I did..

The insurance and price is adequate. Just thought I'd comment of the ironic phone experience. While you wait (wait time estimate grows rather than shrinks... unusual) there are endless messages reiterating the exceptional personal human contact you can expect from such a caring company. Sounds good. But then when the call is answered, the response is quite the opposite; charmless, blunt, patronising, machinelike. I even wondered if I was speaking to AI. I kept checking around the room for TV cameras. I thought it had to be a wind-up. Nobody could be so intentionally unhelpful. It was laughably bad

Never buy your bike insurance of the company I a week before i went live now they said the it will take 60days before I receive my money back on the they said would take up to 5 to 7 days
