Emma Lawless was outstanding. Very professional, kind and caring with a great sense of humour. We loved having her look after our baby girl especially having gone through another emergency C section. Cannot thank her enough.

Had my little boys tie cut today by Hayley, she was so professional and so patient with my little one she was very gentle with him, she explained everything to us and was so thorough, she explained all about exercises we need to do moving forward to help him gain use of his tongue properly and all aftercare was explained. 100% recommend to anybody needing this done for their baby

Overall, great service. Jayne is a very knowledgeable and experienced midwife and tonguetie practitioner, and throughout the session, we felt in good hands. Apart from the procedure, she also provided tons of very valuable advice and information on number of topics related to feeding.

Thank you so much Galadriel for your care and support 34 weeks onwards with my pregnancy and birth. I was able to achieve a VBAC and you played a vital role in making this happen. Firstly in encouraging me to give it a go, secondly giving me all the facts and details around this and thirdly supporting me in the delivery suite through the process.

After finding out my new born little boy had a tongue tie and was struggling to feed I was worried and wanted to get the issue resolved quickly. My local midwife recommended Jayne so I got in touch.
Within a matter of days Jayne attended our home and resolved the tongue tie. Jayne was very knowledgeable and made us feel at ease straight away, she explained the procedure and stayed until we were all settled and my little boy was feeding. The aftercare has been excellent, my little boys feeding has significantly improved and is happier since having the tongue tie procedure.
I would highly recommend Jayne and would like to take this opportunity to pass our thanks on.

My midwife Kat was absolutely outstanding. I was so happy to find a midwife in south wales as the homebirth service in Swansea had been suspended for 3 years and I was keen to have a second homebirth. Things didn't go my way because of my own body and ended up with an emergency C-section. But my midwife was there as a support person, she translated all the medical talk and options, she took moments to check in on my partner and she was a friend. I'll be forever grateful for Ann ❤️

Becky was worth her weight in gold! Knowledgable, friendly, and flexible for visits around our already hectic household. Becky supported us as a family that has exceptional circumstances, going above and beyond to ensure we were in the best shape for our new baby’s arrival, and a huge support in the weeks that followed, including fantastic breastfeeding support. Highly recommend!

Becky has been my midwife for both my pregnancies - she supported us postnatally with my first, and the whole way through with my second - and I absolutely cannot recommend her enough. Professional, caring, knowledgeable and funny, her support has been completely invaluable during the ups and downs of pregnancy and early parenthood. Her insight, understanding and compassion have made me feel completely looked after and I honestly couldn’t think more highly of her. I’d recommend her without hesitating.

I fully recommend Private Midwives to anyone thinking of getting a private midwife. They have been excellent throughout my pregnancy and postnatal period. My midwife Rachel was amazing and helped me through everything. She was knowledgeable, compassionate and supportive and really made my experience positive. This was my second child but, having had Tokophobia and a bad experience with my first, I was very anxious. She always knew what to say to make me feel better and to guide me through any decisions I had to make. Her support was priceless. I also managed to access this via my work healthcare provider, Bupa International, so if anyone has insurance please check if you are covered.

After the traumatic birth of our first child, we were recommended Private Midwives by a friend for the birth of our second child.

I couldn’t recommend them more. Emma was exceptional and helped me manage my anxiety throughout the pregnancy, the birth and the first few weeks with our baby.

In particular, the continuity of care was incredibly helpful, seeing Emma regularly throughout pregnancy and being able to contact her with queries when needed.

I also valued how flexible Emma’s approach was, supporting me to have the birth I wanted (whilst ensuring it was safe for me and the baby). I felt in safe hands at all times. Many thanks to Emma for all of her help.

I asked for a consultation for my 6 month old via WhatsApp and explained what was going on. My son does have a tongue tie, it’s extremely obvious but as I didn’t end up breastfeed it was not a concern at the beginning. However, there are numerous reasons why I am now seeking help to get it cut. After explaining, I just got a reply saying ‘this doesn’t sound like tongue tie.’

Couldn’t imagine doing any part of pregnancy or birth without Emily and Jo. Another wonderful experience with plenty of curve balls to work through as a team, culminating in a calm and beautiful home birth for our baby girl.

Both of our children have needed their tongue tie cutting. We used Jayne for our son 3 years ago so came back to her for our daughter this year. Jayne has been very caring and knowledgeable both times and spent time discussing all options with us. She was also very supportive and helpful with feeding advice. Would highly recommend Jayne if you have any feeding or tongue tie concerns.

We had an amazing homebirth experience with our wonderful midwife Emma Lawless, and midwife Julia. My previous birth experiences were not great and I didn't want to just hope for the best again (having a home birth or access to a birth pool in a birth centre would have been a lottery in our area) so this time we decided to go with Private Midwives. The whole process was very smooth (including the admin, equipment hire, etc). It was great being able to have the appointments with Emma at home, and she was always able to put my mind at ease and answer all the questions, as well as being available over the phone/text between appointments. It was definitely money well spent, not just for my peace of mind but also a bit of an investment in my health (no stitches this time, despite previous episiotomy and 2nd degree tear!) Thank you again to Emma, Julia and all the staff at PM!

Really appreciated all the support from my midwife throughout my pregnancy, during the birth and beyond. Despite not having the home birth I had planned and hoped for it was still hugely helpful to have her come with us to hospital.

The service I received from Private Midwifes Ireland (PMI)was top notch! From the start of first email sent when finding out I am pregnant to the post delivery always have been amazing! Veery prompt responses through email with various things were addressed within few hours/max a day! Very lovely staff to interact and pleasant and respectful 🙏

I had a chance to get Sinéad as my Midwife, the initial call made my choice to birth at home more real and step towards healing process after 2 hospital births that were not very pleasant. Sinead and I had a great chat of overall things and I found myself so very connected with the values and level of understanding that she is the one. Same brain wave if I am being very honest.

I loved how she got my older children involved with listening to baby's heart, feeling baby in belly, the position and all!

Most of all, I am thankful for her being there for me on all levels of mind, body and spirit. We discussed various hard topics and she helped to navigate through each one of them. One of which were that in my last two labours in hospital, I didn't receive much compassion from personal so I felt very depleted and not supported and I remember that I was giving up and fear it came with. I spoke to Sinéad about this and she helped me navigate through it with her support, tools (hypnobirting and book suggestions) and her kind words. I am most thankful to her for that support and holding space for me there as I healed and grieved the past two births, and entered my third birth like a warrior! So very gently and graciously! (My husband might say otherwise about the earthy low sounds) :D

My labour support was great, even tho, Sinéad didn't make to baby entering this side of Earth, she was there shortly after, and when she entered the room with me being with baby in hands made me tear up and feel so very proud. Proud of myself for going through it myself surrounded with my family, husband and my oldest two kids , feeling supported and loved from all fronts. The love and care I saw in Sinéads eyes then and after was otherworldly! I can not thank her enough of what and how it has impacted mine and my family's life. Her trust in me was always so strong, I didnt realise fully until birth. We are forever grateful for her helping us, being there for us and having our amazing chats where we would learn from one another. This is what I call person with a calling.

Sinéad, I want to say thank you! Thank you for everything you have done for us, helping me get through some fear and uncertainty, helping me navigate this third little soul into this side of earth. Thank you for holding the space for us. Thank you for guiding me through physiological third stage of labour. It was something else. Thank you for talking through everything that came along. Thank you for making a difference. Midwifes like you will change the world 🥰

If I could give you 10 stars I would most definitely give you more then that! I absolutely loved my experience with PMI that two hours after labour and care with Sinéad and Sandra, I spoke about my next baby. The experience has been so top notch that looking forward to my next birth.

I chose to go with Private Midwives from week 36 as I wanted 1-1 consistent care and - ideally - to give birth at home again for my third child (or to have an knowledgeable advocate with me if I did need to go to hospital). My age (41) and community midwife staffing made homebirth uncertain with the NHS. The local hospitals are also poorly rated and I had speedy prior births so didn’t want to have to travel to hospital alone (husband would have to stay home with bigger kids till someone could get here for them).

Private Midwives paired me with a lovely, experienced midwife called Galadriel. She and the admin team were very helpful from the outset - taking time to talk through how their service works and answer my questions before I signed up. Once I reached 36 weeks I started having appointments with Galadriel. These were at my home which was much more convenient and laid back (and meant my husband could get involved). She booked scans where needed, did my blood tests and obs, discussed my plans, gave me advice on birth room prep, how to improve chances of straightforward birth, improve iron levels and so on. We were able to message and call between appointments too - and she sent me useful advice, suggestions, links and scientific papers which helped to guide my choices - without pressure.

It was very reassuring to have someone I knew and connected with present to deliver my baby. I was glad to be at home and relaxed as I knew I’d be in good hands and that my preferences were known and I’d be listened to throughout. The birth was quick and in the early hours, but Galadriel got to me promptly and was very calm and had everything under control, getting husband involved too. I could put all my trust in her and focus on giving birth. After, she had good advice and guidance for dealing with after pains and nursing, for example.

Galadriel is such a lovely warm person too, and she was great with my bigger children. We really looked forward to her visits and I was so glad to have a sense of underlying calm and reassurance. She made a world of difference as to how I felt about the birth.

Getting the private midwife was the best decision we ever made. My husband and I met Julia (our midwife) a couple weeks before I was due and as I was late, she was very reassuring and supportive, helping me to relax and calm down. After the delivery I saw Julia once (sometimes twice a week) and this was the best service for all of us - since we were first time parents we had a lot of questions and uncertainties, but Julia was very supportive and provided us with all the required information. It never felt like we have a medical specialist, but rather a family member who was experienced and knowledgeable and was happy to check on us to ensure we are all healthy and happy.

My two first babies where 2 HSE home births, I then booked for my third with private midwives but in my third trimester had complications which meant I could no longer deliver at home. The private midwives costumer service was very smooth, fast and on point to cancel my booking in such a difficult time which was so helpful. This third baby was born through c section after a long and challenging stay in the hospital. For this fourth pregnancy I booked with Private midwives again for a HVBAC with Ann and absolutely everything was amazing and beyond what we had hoped for. Ann is and incredible midwife with whom we felt truly supported throught the pregnancy and birth. Our children absolutely loved every prenatal visits as Ann would always get them involved, showing them how to feel baby's position, how to listen to the heartbeat, check for blood pressure etc it was always such a fun and informative time which we will all miss. Ann is so intuitive and perceptive, we all felt so safe and truly cared for, before doing anything she would always explain everything in details and often before we even answered she knew how we felt about something. The whole experience was incredibly healing and life changing, we will forever be grateful to Ann and she will definitely be the first person we ring if we get pregnant again, we now know that we have somebody we trust to support us which is so freeing. Thank you Ann 💜
