I have bought Asus AREZ DUAL RX 580…

I have bought Asus AREZ DUAL RX 580 from Box.co.uk for a new build. its a great graphic card for entry level. I run it with four 1440p monitor with no problem. I don't use it for super heavy gaming, but I do game. So far I haven't even got it hot. Even VR doesn't seem to be a problem.

when I ordered it I got no email from the product box saying the order was in progress and if I went to the website and queried the status it just said "dropship" which told me nothing

Great Customer Service

I placed the order with Product Box, which had the most competitive price on the market. Although I had not heard about them before, I decided to give them a try.

I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they delivered my order, which was very well packed and protected. I highly recommend this company and will be shopping with them again in the future. Brilliant customer service overall.

I'm only one small customer

I'm only one small customer, but the customer services people at Product Box went out of their way to help me get the right heater, and get it to me as quickly as possible, as I was buying it as a gift for an older person, and didn't want them to suffer during the cold weather.

Disconnect with supplier and delivery team

We ordered an electric oven from ProductBox because it is an older Whirlpool Ignis model with a cut away back. It has to fit below our gas hob, where an electric oven is already installed, but the gas pipe to the hob will get in the way of most new ovens. However the dimensions of this Ignis oven are almost the same as our broken oven, so it should be fine.This is why we chose to purchase an odd, older model from this company.

ProductBox don't hold stock of this item and instead they arrange for it to be sent directly from the manufacturers. They do not offer fitting, nor any order tracking.

The delivery company turned out to be TeamKnowhow of Curry's PC World and they were able to add fitting on for us. The oven arrived 8 working days after order was placed, as opposed to the 3 days quoted on the ProductBox item description. Unfortunately the delivery and installation team were adamant that it would not fit and so took it away again. They never looked at the new oven's dimensions and instead they said we would get a refund from the seller. They did make two recommendations of alternative oven makes that should fit, but on researching these, there is no way they will fit, whereas the one I ordered is highly likely to.

When I contacted ProductBox about my 'return', they knew nothing about this non-delivery. On checking, they said we would have to pay £40 to continue with the return, or alternatively they will arrange redelivery, because it should never have been taken back by the delivery team in the first place.

So now we have ordered and paid for an oven on 23 February which we have still not received, and we are not clear how long redelivery will take.

All this was particularly disconnected, unhelpful and inconvenient.

UPDATE : score increased to 3* after reply. However I did call before I purchased to discuss the potential installation problem and I was not told that it was possible to purchase installation from ProductBox. In addition the option is not obvious at all on the product pages otherwise I would have definitely bought it. In fact I didn't really want to get it without installation from the vendor in the first place.

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear you feel this way. Our deliveries for this item do go directly from the manufacturer's via Knowhow, we do not provide tracking as this is a booked in service that is usually within 3 to 5 working days so you are informed of a delivery day. I must advise that we do offer installation and also removal (recycling) of old appliances. This is listed on the product page underneath the description. As you arranged with Knowhow regarding the fitting and then dealt with them directly regarding the item not fitting this has nothing to do with ourselves as our fitting service is all planned in and these points are checked. This is also why we were un-aware of any issues when you rang to advise as you had been dealing directly with Knowhow and not ourselves. As your retailer, your contract is with ourselves and as soon as we were advised of this issue we worked quickly to get this resolved for you. We did correctly advise that if you wished to cancel the order it would be classed as a return with a failed delivery and there would be a returns cost of £40 for us to re-route this large, heavy item back through the haulage network.

We have spoken to our manufacturer who has advised that delivery has been booked in between yourself and Knowhow and agreed to be made on 19th March. If you have any issues with delivery on the 19th please call us on 0115 9649198 immediately.
