Please be aware of Property Lettings…

Please be aware of Property Lettings Today!
They have failed to pay us £325 for cleaning services we provided. Despite multiple attempts to contact them via messages and official emails, they have ignored all communication.

While £325 might not seem like a large amount to some, it's significant for a small business like ours — especially since we’ve already paid our staff for the work completed at their property.

Unfortunately, due to their lack of response, we are now proceeding with legal action through the small claims court to recover the amount owed, including court and solicitor costs.

We’re sharing this as a warning to others in the industry — be cautious when dealing with Property Lettings Today.
Update:
We had a very disappointing experience with this company. Despite sending three invoice reminders to their official email address and following up via WhatsApp, they claimed they never received anything.

When we eventually sent a formal debt recovery notice, they accused us of harassment, even though all communication was professional and within standard business practices.

They also claimed that our invoice didn’t include a due date, which is simply untrue — the invoice clearly stated "0 days" (26 April), meaning payment was due on receipt. This is clearly outlined in our Terms and Conditions as well.

Instead of resolving the matter professionally, they responded with threats to report us — completely disregarding the overdue status of their invoice.

We do not recommend working with this company unless you are prepared for delayed payments and unprofessional conduct when asked to honor basic payment terms.

Thank you for your message.

We were not aware of any outstanding invoice for cleaning services, as no invoice has been received by our accounts department to date. Had we received one, we would have addressed it promptly.

Please forward a copy of the original invoice and any relevant supporting documentation to accounts@propertylettings.today, so we can review and process it accordingly.

We take such matters seriously and are committed to resolving any genuine issues in a fair and timely manner. We respectfully request that any public statements or legal threats be withheld until we have had the opportunity to review the documentation and address the matter appropriately.

I can honestly say I have never come across such an unprofessional company. We have never not paid any invoices with this company. And as of the date of this message we have one outstanding invoice which is two weeks old. Their invoice does not state when the money is due, therefore we took it as industry standard 30days payment terms and we have never seen their terms and conditions.
Our business is about working with contractors and never have I come across such an unprofessional company.

5 stars for making promises, ZERO stars for keeping them

In April of 2022, we made a booking through a 3rd party booking agency for a short-term rental of an apartment that Property Lettings Today manages. Our main point of contact was Keith. One of the main reasons that we booked the apartment was because it prominently advertised that it had on-site parking, which was a very important feature that we require due to how we travel. However, the day before we were to arrive, and after we had made full payment for the booking, Keith informed us that the property no longer offered free on-site parking. (1st broken promise)

Keith said that he could offer us secure parking “a short walk away”, however, due to our personal travel needs, this was not acceptable to us. Keith then offered us the opportunity to cancel our booking and he would provide us with a full refund. We chose to cancel and trusted that he would honor his promise of a refund. We immediately contacted the 3rd party booking agency to arrange for our refund only to find that Keith had never informed them that a refund was to be made. (2nd broken promise)

We kept working with the 3rd party booking agency, who in turn made multiple calls to Keith. We were informed that on each call Keith verbally informed the booking agency’s customer service representative that he had agreed to provide us a refund (although he told them that he promised us a 70% refund) and he would send a written statement to the booking agency (which their legal department required as documentation before a refund could be made). However, Keith never provided such documentation and we never received our refund. (3rd broken promise) We believe that Keith knew of the booking agency’s written documentation requirement to authorize a refund (especially after being informed by the booking agency multiple times) and that he was using this as a way to NOT provide us with a refund that he never had any intention of making.

After a period of time we finally realized that we would never be receiving a refund from Property Lettings Today and we gave them a poor review on TrustPilot documenting our experience. At that time Keith responded to our review and in his sweet-talking manner mentioned that he was sorry for our experience and that he had offered us a 70% refund. Even though this was not the full refund that he originally promised us, we were willing to accept his offer of a reduced refund to settle the matter and move on. But, yet again, Keith never made any efforts to fulfill this promise through the 3rd party booking agency or directly with us. (4th broken promise)

Fast forward one year and in May of 2023 we updated our Trust Pilot review to inform anyone researching Property Lettings Today that we had never received the refund that Keith promised in his comments to our review. This updated review was followed up by a new comment from someone at Property Lettings Today asking us to provide our banking details to them so that a refund could be made. We were thrilled to find out that we were finally going to receive our refund and immediately sent an email to the company along with our banking details. This email was followed up with the following response “We are more than happy to refund you and we apologise for the inconvenience. Payment will be made on the condition you retract your reviews on Trust pilot.” In a show of good faith on our part, we did remove our TrustPilot review and informed the company of our actions. Then, after almost three weeks went by without seeing a refund in our bank account, we contacted the company again asking for a status update and received this reply - "Haven't forgotten you. Hope to make the refund tomorrow.” After another month passed, during which we sent multiple unanswered emails asking for a status update on our refund and in which we provided two other methods for them to transfer money to us, we finally received a partial refund of approximately 50% with a promise to transfer the rest in a few days. (50% is not a full refund or even a 70% refund - 5th promise broken)

Since that time over a month has passed and we have not received a single response to our multiple emails requesting an update on the final installment of our refund. (6th broken promise)

It is my hope that this honest review of our experience with Property Lettings Today informs future customers of the company that there is a huge risk in working with them. Also, if future customers do receive any promises from the Company, they should remain very skeptical that they will ever receive satisfaction.
