Misleading malpractice and fraudulent practice by AMT Auto

My insurance has used AX hire company who then used AMT auto to provide me with a car. When the car was delivered they quickly delivered the car without discussion any pervious dagame and then when pick up the car then get your signature by saying everything his fine and then they use the signature to find all the fault on the car to get money from you. This type of misleading malpractice and fraudulent practice of obtaining signature without discussing any damage is a criminal office is a Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981.

Utterly Useless

Totally useless, unprofessional company.. Didn’t turn up with my rental vehicle today as agreed and confirmed by 3 separate texts through VRG and have now cancelled my booking on totally spurious grounds that I was rude to them which I wasn't albeit understandably annoyed for messing me about.
This is not my first dealing with AMT and will definitely NOT be using them again so I would strongly advise that you avoid using this company and save yourself the horrendous stress they've put me under in the past 24 hours. Wish I could give no stars. How these guys are still in business is beyond me.

VRG wouldn’t authorise a key drop which delayed the initial delivery. You then requested we deliver the vehicle at 8am, however we couldn’t meet the 8am slot, so we advised it would be 9am delivery.  We're sorry you weren't happy with that, but having listened to both call recordings our advisor remained calm and professional on what was a challenging call.

VRG then cancelled the booking with us following a call with you, so we were unable to provide you with the vehicle.

Hidden charges after months

I was given a vehicle through them as they were recommended by my insurance company. The car itself was fine — brand new, straight out of the showroom.

Unfortunately, their administration charges are ridiculous. While I understand a fee for handling tickets, £48 per ticket is excessive. I ended up paying £192 in admin fees on top of the actual fines, which I already paid.

Months later, they then demanded another £192 and sent threatening messages about legal action. Completely unacceptable and very disappointing experience. I would not recommend them only because of the hidden charges. I haven hiring vehicles before these company had set of wheels never did I have to pay for admin fees.

I received a car from AMT auto

I received a car from AMT auto, the car guide named Surry was very friendly, he made sure the car was inspected with me there before leaving the car, he even let me drive the car with his support to make sure I was comfortable driving the car and reverse parked for me into our driveway, I am very happy with the service.

I only recently started using Amtauto…

I only recently started using Amtauto London branch and I can't fault them. I have been dealing with Harry that I find to be very polite and very professional and answered all of my concerns after reading these reviews. New vehicle got delivered and was cleaned to a high standard. Driver was very polite when dropping off. Overall I can't fault them and have been impressed with the service that I have received.

Stay away for your own SANITY and mental health

I’m so gutted I wish I read the reviews earlier. Dealing with this company has been HELL. They don’t know customer service even if it hit them in the face. They will REFUSE to read and reply to your messages. I’ve had to deal with 4 different members of staff and they’re all just as bad as each other. Message after message after email has been constantly ignored.

They sold me a faulty vehicle, and as another person also wrote on the amt leasing trust pilot page, they will blame YOU for it. Like another person said, I have also tried to chase up with their complaints department and have received zero correspondence. I don’t know who else to turn to at this point.

No matter how tempting or how much they try pressure or sell themselves to you highly, PLEASE stay away. Biggest regret ever. I’m still yet to receive my car after handing it back to them for ‘inspection’ and it’s been a whole entire MONTH. Disgusting, appalling, JOKE of a company. Yet still expected to pay for the monthly instalments. And I’m currently car-less. Idk how they’re still running, they should be shut down.

Shocking customer service!

Shocking customer service!! Liam obviously hasn’t had training in the customer service department, sent a blank finance agreement and asked us to sign it! Then sent a photograph of finance details on headed notepaper and asked us to sign it. Never returned calls had to chase him to send through correct paperwork, still waiting to hear back about the finance 4 days later and the car has disappeared from their website! Obviously the car has been sold to someone else and not a phone call to say so. Have never dealt with such an incompetent salesman but going by reviews i have read on other sites it is a common theme that their salesmen are rude and incompetent! Stay well clear

Avoid at all costs

We were provided the car by our insurance company as we needed a vehicle with a tow bar for our horse trailer. The car itself an Audi Q7 was fine. The 1star review is due solely to the staff employed to collect the car. They were clearly in the wrong profession. The way they looked at the car covering every inch was something to behold. All marks even the ones barely visible to the human eye were circled and noted. They cleaned the tyres off and used a torch despite it being broad daylight again circling every single mark on all the tyres. Frosensic scientists aren’t this diligent and we only had the car for 3 week and had covered less than 1000 miles. Even though we had looked after car like our own we were made to feel like criminals by these 2 gentlemen. If you have the opportunity I would avoid having anything to do with this company.

Unprofessional…..

Having purchased a car with my son from this company I would urge people to stay away. Their salesman Rob doesn’t answer any messages.
Their customer complaints department doesn’t answer correspondence either. They haven’t bothered clearing the old finance on trade in and have left my son having to pay more for his old car. PLEASE STAY AWAY take your business elsewhere
