I was optimistic when I first switched to Prudent Pet. Customer service is friendly and responsive. However-if you are thinking of adding a wellness plan, don't. The annual cost of the plan is more expensive than the benefits. Additionally, the PP wellness plan covers only some of the necessities for dogs, and the reimbursement fees are not in alignment with what a major city veterinarian charges.

This summer they were updating their portal/website/communication something--which, despite being told twice that my dog was still covered, they did not rollover the policy and so when I realized it in July, I had to back pay three months and my annual policy restarted. I am looking to cancel early, but I doubt that will be possible.

While this company may be "cheaper", understand you are also getting a lot less coverage and they nickel and dime worse than my previous insurance company.

Easy to navigate estimates and plan options. Price was very competative.

I have not used you yet or do I know how to submit my billing to you as of yet.

I selected Prudent Pet Insurance for accidental ingestion coverage for my two cats. I loved that they offered a low $100 deductible and a high 90% expense coverage rate. This was the best offer out there. I recently had to use the insurance as my cat decided to chew the tip of the pinky finger off a black leather glove. I submitted a claim for the expenses involved at the vet and with all my documentation Prudent Pet approved my claim. It took under 3 weeks to receive the reimbursement. Having insurance truly gave me a greater price of mind to immediately act on this accidental occurrence and I’m so grateful for the prompt response of the decision and follow up by the Prudent Pet representatives.

Stephanie was very helpful and prompt with her response to some questions I had about the plan. Based on the great customer service, clarity of information and a policy that fits our needs, I have decided to purchase.

I could change the coverage and get a cost very easily

I have had Prudent since 2/26 and tried to use it 2x's now. Both denied and when you get a call back for what info is missing to cover claim they do not leave it on voice mail. Also have not responded to email to cancel policy, truly disappointed
