I currently have a decent amount of…

I currently have a decent amount of VPSs with Pufferfish Host, and I must say, the performance and reliability is insane. Kevin is great, and responds almost instantly. I would 100% recommend trying out Pufferfish Host!

Servers are amazing and cheap I have no lag whats so ever with on average 10 people on atm 9 Support team is also very helpful

I guess I'm just too dumb?...

I feel like you guys are a pretty good host with a whole page dedicated to helping out in certain problems but for some reason it just didn't work for me. I couldn't start the server for some reason even after watching multiple tutorials. I even changed the files and still nothing. But oh well, guess I'm just too dumb for this type of stuff.

Amazing Servers, Mid Support

I've used Pufferfish Host for very long time, As I know there is only 1 person who takes over support and 1 staff only which is Kevin who is the CEO of Pufferfish. With him taking all responsibility on support for Pufferfish Host and focusing on life, it's pretty hard to get a response very quickly. The pricing is pretty expensive compare to other hosting providers but with Pufferfish+ Jar it makes it up and their panel as the panel theme is very clean and unique as well as the Jar is very optimized so you can run many plugins and players on such a small server. Personally, I think Kevin has done an very amazing job running the hosting but I only think it's recommended for those who have tons of players daily or just need it for usage.

We certainly do our absolute best when it comes to providing top quality support. Unfortunately sometimes things do fall through the cracks, but we do try to heavily prioritize the biggest issues, and we are extremely quick to respond to any kind of emergency support requirements that any customer of any size may have.

Additionally, I am not the only person at the company, we do have an additional support person available to help out with many of the most common support tasks, as well as some other folks that help out behind the scenes.

Top tier, 11/10

Pufferfish provides an absolutely top tier service. Their infrastructure is innovative with incredible custom in house custom DDoS protection, support is quick, and the servers are fast. I've used pufferfish a few years back, and am happy to be a customer again. It's been phenomenal. Unlike a concerningly large amount of providers, pufferfish actually cares about its service quality and I admire them for that.

Truly an 11/10 host.

Billing cancelation process.

Your billing cancelation process is archaic. An employee attempted to reconcile this by stating "we don't bad actors to get access and easily cancel services that would wipe server date with worlds on it."

But you'll take money in a heart beat, without a second thought, and no similar process to the one mentioned above? What if a bad actor just as easily wanted to set up their own server with someone else's money?

A professional organization would deal with this and create a solution. Although this organization seems to lack the moral compass or innovation required to come up with a better process.

Hello,

As we have previously stated, we CANNOT delete a server without confirmation that you actually own the server you are requesting that we delete.

You have repeatedly refused to log into your account or provide us with any kind of proof that you actually own the server you are intending to delete. If you were able to provide a copy of an invoice and the last 4 digits of the credit card that you used to purchase the service, we would be able to help you in that case even if you are not able to access your billing account anymore.

But, again, to reiterate, we cannot delete servers at random just because "somebody" made a ticket requesting that we do so. If a malicious actor made a ticket requesting that we immediately shut down a paying customer's services, and we actually followed through with that, that would be a VERY bad thing. We have these policies in place to protect our users.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience but we have these policies for a reason. Please contact support for help. We are happy to help you. But when you refuse to provide the basic information that we request to verify your identity, there is very little we can do for you.

We have strict fraud checks in place that verify every transaction with 3D Secure. This, along with other fraud prevention measures that we have in place, prevents almost all situations where stolen credit cards may be used to purchase services. I can assure you, it would not be profitable for us to sell to people who are using stolen credit cards or other fraudulent means of payment.

Edit: I checked your email provided by Trustpilot. You sent us a valid support request on Saturday 26th October at 15:18 requesting a cancellation, and we responded confirming your cancellation on Sunday 27th October at 06:10. You were only billed once, and your service did not recur a single time.

We requested that you log into the billing panel prior to creating a ticket. As I explained in your support ticket, this is REQUIRED. Imagine if you were a customer who was using our services, and a disgruntled player made a fraudulent request to cancel your server, on your behalf. If we were to follow through on that request, all of your data would be deleted.

We cannot verify that this situation is not happening unless you log in. We provided instructions via livechat and via the support ticket you created. I will reiterate them here. Visit https://billing.pufferfish.host. Then log in. Click on your service, and then in the sidebar on the left click “Cancellation Request”. This will allow you to cancel your server without ever interacting with support. If this is not an option for whatever reason, you can also email our billing department at billing@pufferfish.host using the email address you used to sign up for your service.

We would be happy to help you, but we need to verify your identity. If we cannot verify your identity, then we cannot take any action on your account, ESPECIALLY actions that would result in us permanently destroying your data.

I've been with pufferfish since pretty…

I've been with pufferfish since pretty much the start and it's been excellent. When I had an issue it was resolved quickly and the support was excellent. I had a lot of help from pufferfish to optimize my server as well (with sparks) once I started experiencing lag issues from bad plugins. Overall, this host has been nothing but excellent and they're the most knowledgeable when it comes to Minecraft. 10/10

Incredible host, incredible owner, incredible resources

Incredible host, what more could you ask for? Kevin, the owner responds in mere seconds. I had a stupid question that was entirely my issue and Kevin responded in seconds with helpful and correct advice. Other hosts would leave me hanging for literal days. I'm currently using the premium shared host plan which offers DEDICATED resources. On a shared host... What? I've never experienced a host that gives you dedicated resources for an insanely respectable price. With a free dedicated IP and plenty of storage space and also the premium version of Pufferfish (the best server software out there.) I'm pre-generating chunks on a large, custom generation world and my server is still at 20TPS. I couldn't imagine ever using any other host and I've been playing Minecraft and running servers since 2011.
