The venue itself very clean & tidy.

This is a short review of the FREC3 course I took with Pulse South Coast.
My experience was not only memorable but long-lasting and incredibly rewarding.
I was incredibly hesitant and apprehensive, but this course is hugely advantageous for anyone looking to learn life-long skills that are immensely valued.
I hope to apply my newly acquired skills with the local ambulance service as a learner and within the local community.
Fingers crossed, I will see the Pulse South Coast team again in 6 to 12 months and working towards my FREC4.
The team and the company director are incredibly hard-working, and understanding toward individuals with learning disabilities.
They were supportive throughout the course and highly focused on the finest details.
I only wish they had vacant posts available so I could join them as a volunteer, as their knowledge and passion is one of a kind.
My sincere thanks to the team, and I look forward to visiting them again soon.
With my very best wishes,
Yunus
Fantastic cover
Fantastic cover, knowledgeable, problem solvers and great customer service. I would recommend Pulse to anyone.

The team at Pulse South Coast are superb!
I recently completed my FREC 3 re-qualification with Craig and his team of trainers. Craig was our lead trainer for the week with his staff supporting him with the assessments and scenarios throughout the training. A well oiled machine with great communication between team members and creating complex and realistic scenarios for us to practise and learn from.
The training was well delivered by Craig with his calm and confident approach and manging expectations of all the learners. He noticed if we had a confused look on our faces or if we needed extra clarification / information on a topic.
Craig is passionate at ensuring we know how to save lives but also ensuring boundaries are in place for every ones safety.
The training environment was safe and comfortable and the exam process was explained clearly to us all.
This session was a requalification for me and Craig always does an excellent job of teaching the group.
Pulse South Coast is a very professional organisation with each team member playing a vital role with excellent team work. I would not go anywhere else for my FREC 3 training. Thank you team!
Great delivery of FREC 3 qualification
The training was delivered by an experienced, knowledgeable trainer, Scenarios were immersive and realistic, using a mix of actors & annies. Great location, easy parking. Easy to book, and great support from all the team.

From start to finish a very welcoming and relaxed experience.
Craig is a very knowledgeable instructor and also delivers to the students in attentive manner able to make you understand.
The scenarios given were refreshing away from a lot of the usual trauma based and more real life situations.
Would definitely recommend to all.
Major orienteering event
The attendant arrived well on time. He then volunteered to help with setting up event marquees, etc. before racing started which was greatly appreciated.
Despite the very wet weather he made himself visible and helped the road crossing marshal who was positioned next to his vehicle.
Incredible, Inclusive, Dynamic and Reactive Training Provider
I booked my FREC 3 with Pulse. I'm so glad I did. We were greeted on day one by a smiling, professional and personable instructor. The facilities are great (Tea,Coffee and Biccies were included too), the equipment is fantastic and the venue is beautiful.
You work through some presentations to gain foundational understanding and then it accelerates from there with a mixture of practical sessions, scenario training and learner lead teaching.
I loved their attitude so much that I've signed up to be one of their Event Medics and I'll be signing up for my FREC 4.
I cannot recommend them enough.
Learning, Laughing, and Plenty of Tea
I attended the Out of Hospital Adult Immediate Life Support course and it was a really good course. This is the third course I’ve completed here and, as always, the trainer was excellent, very knowledgeable, engaging, and easy to follow. Nothing was too much trouble, the trainer made sure everyone understood and was always happy to go over things, with plenty of tea breaks too. I completed the course with a great bunch of people, which made the day even better. Overall, a great course and one I’d definitely recommend
Craig our instructor was fantastic (FREC 3)
Craig our instructor was fantastic. He made a 5 day course feel manageable and broke down complex subjects to make them accessible. I learnt so much and had fun along the way. I feel confident walking into any situation as a first responder. Highly recommend Pulse and Craig as a provider.

Great instruction and a very well delivered course. Very enjoyable and learnt lots
Confidence instilled
You can be confident that your event is covered in the event of an accident with Pulse on site. A comprehensive plan provides the confidence albeit that this is a service that you hope that you don't actually need on the day!
The Dog is Called Betty...
I attended the FREC 3 course with Pulse South Coast Limited in Ringmer, East Sussex, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with both the course and the overall experience.
From the very start, Craig set the tone perfectly. He was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable, bringing a huge amount of real-world experience into the teaching. The way the course was delivered was outstanding. One moment we would be learning about burns in the classroom and the next we were responding to an unexpected “incident” somewhere in the grounds, working together to manage a casualty with multiple injuries. The setting itself is absolutely charming and really adds to the realism of these scenarios.
There was a brilliant mix of teaching styles throughout the week, with plenty of hands-on practice. We were never left feeling unsupported – Craig was always nearby to guide, encourage and answer questions. I’d never done a course like this before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was genuinely surprised (in a very good way) by both the depth of information and the practical skills we were taught.
Our group was small, just six of us, and thanks to Craig’s humour and supportive approach we quickly built a great rapport. Feedback was always constructive and encouraging. Any mistakes were treated as learning opportunities, discussed openly and used to help everyone improve, which I found incredibly valuable.
I’ll be honest, I started the course feeling apprehensive and at times even felt a bit like an imposter, as it was so different to the usual “first aid” courses I’d experienced before. By the end, though, I felt genuinely positive about my knowledge and skills. I wouldn’t say I’m confident yet – that will come with time and experience – but I do feel that the foundations I now have are as solid as they possibly could be.
The training centre itself is a lovely place, very much in the middle of nowhere, so bringing snacks and a packed lunch is a must. That said, the location really adds to the realism of the scenarios. There’s plenty of parking, facilities for tea and coffee, and the training rooms are extremely well equipped. Everyone had equal access to equipment, with plenty of opportunity to practise key skills throughout the week.
Considering the quality of the teaching, the amount of practical experience and the overall standard of the course, the cost feels extremely reasonable. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Pulse South Coast to anyone considering the FREC 3 course. You would need to go a very long way to find an experience as good as this one.
A huge thank you to Craig, Pulse South Coast, and my five fellow learners for making it such an enjoyable and worthwhile week.
Friendly training team
Friendly training team. Course content covered in at a steady pace with a number of practical tasks to help cement the learning.
I have done my FREC3 and FREC4 with Pulse South Coast - both were a great learning experience.
FREC 3 &4
After completing FREC3 with pulse earlier in the year, I progressed on to FREC 4, having Stewart as our trainer. The training was top notch and the equipment was really good - had everything we needed to get confident with the new skills. We interacted with other members of stuff including Craig, all of whom were really friendly, helpful and seemed to really care about giving a good service. Definitely would recommend and intend to do CPD courses with them in the future.
Would recommend - very professional and friendly
Very helpful staff and very efficient with support in the run up to the event. Very professional company to work with - would recommend their services.
Excellent service as always
As always, Pulse South Coast provided outstanding medical service for the St Lawrence Fair this summer. They are reliable, always on time and an absolute pleasure to work with. They deal with any medical incident professionally and thoroughly. I highly recommend them for any event and will be booking their services again in 2026 - thank you to the whole team.
Fantastic course
Fantastic FREC 3 course. Brilliant venue, amazing instructor- hugely experienced and knowledgeable and a well paced, interactive 5 days. Would recommend to anyone whatever level First Aid course you need.
