### SCAMMED!!
### SCAMMED!!
I used Petfinder in the past to see if there were any dogs in my area that I could adopt, but all the pets were usually located thousands of miles away.
In mid-January, I received an email about animals being transferred to my area from the LA fires, and they needed emergency adopters. All the pets listed had an adoption fee of $450 to $500 each, and I had to be screened to ensure I was a good match for the dog. On a fixed income, I found this a bit steep. Since I'm only allowed one pet where I live, I carefully scrolled through each pet suitable to my situation. I applied to a subcontractor through Petfinder (supposedly a neighborhood shelter called PNW Pittie Project) handling the LA fires animals in my area. I filled out the questionnaire application on January 22nd, 2025, with an application fee of $25, which I paid by credit card.
A week passed without any word on the pet I applied for. I contacted them again through email and I received a reply that they didn't receive my application nor payment. I sent copies of all my paperwork on January 29th, 2025. I waited another week for animals desperate for homes, but to no avail. I sent an email to Petfinder themselves, asking if I qualified and if the pet was still available (or if they gave the pet to someone else more worthy). It's now February 8th, and I still haven't received a single word.
All I was looking for was some kind of explanation like, "We're sorry, but you were not a match," or "The pet you were asking for is no longer available due to some emergency." Truthfully, I'm just glad I wasn't asked to pay the adoption fee first. According to the website, I had to meet the pet to ensure I was a good match before paying the adoption fee. Since I received an email from Trustpilot about another website to review, I checked Petfinder's reviews and read all the scams. Hence, I am adding my two cents as well.
Is Purina really their sponsor? It would be shameful if they are, but I'm not investing any more time to find out. I'll just copy my review and use it for Purina.
Shrinkflation now attacks our poor moggies!
With parent company Nestle determined to shrink our chocolate bars every few months while regularly hiking prices to cover their huge wages and bonuses for the horde of pointless suits stealing a living, now Purina have decided its time to starve our pets by shrinking the Felix 100g pouches to 85g pouches. What my cats have done to deserve this slow decline in dinner sizes is anybody's guess but as long as the profits keep rising thats all that matters eh? Nasty vile, capitalist, evil, dirty, rotten, lowdown, dirtbags; YOU SUCK!
wow gone from 100g to 85g per pouch
wow gone from 100g to 85g per pouch . I buy the 40 box of felix as good as it looks . get through 2/3 boxes a week as have 3 cats and feed a few strays . Wont be buying this brand any longer as loosing 6 pouches per box . but paying same if not more money . WOW profit before customers . shame on you as a company .
100g to 85g you are tricking people
100g to 85g you are tricking people - I am going to use another brand one which treats its customers with respect
Nestle Scum
It is sadly not unbelieveable at all that this company and its 'parent' company are treating pet owners with contempt:
they have a long history of almost colonial abuse - but of course they don't allow links so you'll have to look it up yourself.
Disgrace
Disgrace. Just bought home "Good as it looks"cat food. Strange I thought, they look small! Purina has reduced pouch size to 85g from 100g, but, you guessed it, maintained the price! I personally would have preferred an increase in price but retain the size. The practice is underhand. I will now look for cat food that is not made by Purina. Hope the board feel pleased and will give themselves a large bonus!
Felix Cat Food
I am fuming. Felix cat food have now decided to reduce their pouches from 100g to 85g per pouch. I have three cats and they are all grazers, which means that I throw away very little food that don’t get eaten. They also get fed twice a day. Another point that I would like to point out is that one of my cats is a big cat and weighs over a stone in weight so has a bigger appetite. A pouch that small is no good. I also want to point out that even though the pouches have shrunk by 20% the price has stayed the same at £5.00 a box. This is daylight robbery. I would have to increase the packets and give them two pouches each which means if they don’t eat all of two pouches each then I would be throwing away more cat food than I was before. So this would cost me more and I would be throwing away more. Well done Felix you haven’t worked this one out very well have you? I’m going to change to another brand that won’t rip me off. 😡😡😡😡😡😡.
My cat Atouta will only eat Go Cat…
My cat Atouta will only eat Go Cat biscuits especially the tuna and herring
Purina’s Reward Program Sucks!!!
My review is based on Purina‘s rewards program. It’s a scam and a total waste of time. You upload a few receipts and they work. Then all of a sudden all your receipts once submitted get an error message saying previously submitted. You contact customer support and they are no help. They just tell you the same thing it was previously submitted. How is that possible when they were purchased that day. I looked online and many people have the same issue. So again don’t waste your time with Purina rewards program. It’s a scam and a waste of time.
So Purina makes a kibble with a chicken…
So Purina makes a kibble with a chicken component that my dog loves, but they won't make a dry food that contains just that! I have to buy 6lbs and separate 1/2 lb of what he will eat and waste 5 1/2 lbs. That's crazy!
The WORST customer service EVER
The WORST customer service EVER. Purina is a giant pet food company and should be ashamed of providing such inadequate customer service to those of us who buy their pet products and keep them in business. I called and emailed asking for the nutritional content of their Fancy Feast cat food and HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE INFORMATION. That is simply unacceptable when my cat has become diabetic and I need this information to keep him alive and healthy. First off, this is info they should have at their fingertips if they manufacture the pet food, but I was told they had to reach out to one of their nutritionists and would get back to me. I was told this on the phone after asking to speak with a supervisor who assured me she would personally get back to me and yet, NEVER DID. Then there is this idiotic rewards program where you have to upload jpegs ONLY of your receipts. Hello, what about those of us who shop online at Chewy and Amazon??? The online receipts come in pdf format so you want us to sit here taking multiple screenshots of pdfs and combining them into a jpeg, are you for REAL??? This is the opposite of a user-friendly app and again, after contacting customer service via chat and email all I get is the same automated reply that reads like it was written by AI, because it probably was. Why bother??? DO BETTER PURINA. Stop killing dogs and spend the money you have plenty of thanks to us customers, on an actual Customer Service team of trained human beings who will actually answer a question instead of regurgitating AI chat.
3 dogs died after eating Purina Pro…
3 dogs died after eating Purina Pro Plan. I have been in contact with Purina which was glad i went straight to them. they told me to send sample to test it, which i thought it was going to be a lab test. They tell me it takes 4-6 weeks to test. I call back after 2 weeks and they tell me rudely again it takes 4-6 weeks. I call again after a month and they tell me the reslults came back but were not a ttached to my file and they were not sure why. then they tell me to call sedgwick their shady claims company. Jada was adjuster the status was open-compromised and it said a decision had been made on the portal. Upon speaking with Jada she tells me the results haven't come in yet and then tells me its a "smell" and texture test. Then ask me if I took them to the vet and if I had a necrosey done, I can barely afford food no I did not but my roommate took his dog which they put down because he was suffering so badly. That dogs head was detaching from the skull and moving up and down on top of his head along with shutters, wobbly movement bloody diarrhea, vomiting. My little dog died a day before that one he also had bloody diarrhea, vomiting and gastro issues and suffered immensely. Then there was Beanie, my poor Beanie got violent seizures bloody diarrhea, vomiting and his body stayed seizing for 4 days but my Beanie fought. It is the most horrific thing Ive ever had to go through and I have been through horrific things but this has mentally and physically taiken my soul. To know I fed them something that did this to them. I know it was the food noone is going to tell me otherwise. That was the common denominator between the dogs. Purina should be ashamed of selling this product knowing what it is doing to our beloved pets. I am in dismay and cant even think straight. I cry every night I relive it all everyday and it is oh so painful. I dont even care about the money and I am struggling hard right now I care about no other dog, cat whatever having to go through this no
Unacceptable quality variation on Purina Proplan Gastrointestinal dog food.
I have been feeding my dogs on Purina EN Gastrointestinal dog food for a couple of years and have recently seen huge variations between batches of cans I order. The variation is from wet sloppy texture and almost yellow colour to nicer firmer texture and a darker beige colour. The change to the slop has happened this year and it has a direct impact on my dogs. Their poos are sloppier and lighter in colour as well as smelling bad. It appears to be a watering down of the recipe. I work in the food industry and this level of variability would not be acceptable in human food production. I now need to find another dog food company that values quality.
3 dogs in the one family died within 3…
3 dogs in the one family died within 3 months due to contamination in purina dog food. 2024
Almost pure liquid
Almost pure liquid, not much meat in there lately. Had better packs before. This time I was negatively impressed when I opened and all liquid spilled out while opening. Sorry, but I would expect a cat FOOD and not a cat drink of Purina Gourmet mon petit intense for cats.
Extremely rude rep came to my business
Just had a very extremely rude rep. Come to my business, not state what they were there for begin with, and then when I asked if they were selling something they said no and then they proceeded to try to sell me something.
Her name was Faith Ebel.
We were very busy at the time she just stopped in Unannounced.
I just felt it was very unprofessional.
Have been a regular purchaser of Felix…
Have been a regular purchaser of Felix cat food for many years. However the price of the food has gone up and the quality down(less meat). Also, there are always supply problems. Both Woolworths and Coles had no meat food, only fish and I haven’t seen the 24 pack boxes for ages.
Have started using Dine which our cat loves.
Hydrolyzed Vegetarian Dog Food Saved my Dog
This is only for their veterinary hydrolyzed vegetarian dog food.
My dog has a super rare form of IBD and we went through mountains of different dog foods, prescription foods, hydrolyzed foods, and Purina's hydrolyzed vegetarian was the only thing that worked. My dog has gone from a constantly inflamed walking GI disaster to stable for several years now.
HOWEVER, Purina, please reduce the price. Please consider customers who have no choice but to buy one specific prescription food. When my dog started the large bags, they cost $86, and now they run at $125 average across providers. They're not even 30lb bags. This is unconscionable. It's made of soy, soy is a cheap ingredient compared to meat-based dog foods.
Delivery service is appalling AGAIN
I ordered my cat food and was dispatched with no issues but yet again the delivery service they use just left my parcel outside my front door on the street and sent me a photo of the front doorbells with no sign of my parcel anywhere, I have had this issue before and have constantly asked for my parcel to be left outside my apartment door inside the building where my camera is watching. I am furious and so fed up with this lack of care by their drivers who cannot be bothered to read their customer notes regarding deliveries, I'm beyond annoyed
My cats were gaga over purina sensitive…
My cats were gaga over purina sensitive stomach (purple bag) and indoor diet (green bag) I noticed that 2 got bloody diarrhea. Took them into the vet and got exams and blood tests. Results normal. None of my 3 cats will touch that food now. All 3 ate it readily before. I tried 3 times to report to BBB and it timed out all 3 times. So you need to start over every time you try to add pictures with vet Results and cat food bag pics with bar codes and flavor information. I will never buy any purina product again. Period. Many complaints and no response from company.
