Highly professional service
I booked a valuation with Jordan Greenaway yesterday. She called me before the appointment to confirm the booking and arrived spot on time. She is very positive and knowledgable and Jordan discussed all possibilities with me. She did not rush me or pressure me in any way. I am 87 years old and not brilliant with tech things. Jordan showed me clearly how to go online so that I could take my time and make my final decision after thinking about it. I contacted her this morning (Sunday) by email with other queries and thoughts I had regarding signing with Purplebricks. She got back to me right away which I did not expect on a Sunday.
She is a delight and I have every confidence in her.
I will now be signing with Purplebricks to sell my home.
This is the second home I have sold through Purplebricks. The previous one was successfully sold in 2019.
I highly recommend Purplebricks.

A challenging time.
Having paid £999 upfront for the sales package, initial communications from Ian Bird were excellent. The photographer was booked, house listed and with some slight tweaks, Ian ensured I was on the market quickly and efficiently.
Once Ian handed me over to the sales team it all went downhill.
There was little to no communication from the company.
I did get a phone call from a lady who advised she would be my point of contact, but my emails were ignored and it proved Impossible to get hold of an advisor.
My house sold but then my buyer pulled out. I only found out when I saw my house was relisted on Right Move as For Sale. This came as a shock.!
No comms from Purplebricks whatsoever!
Ian Bird who was my initial contact on instruction was the only one who responded and I’m sure it wasn’t under his remit, but he did everything he could to advise and gave me the details of a new sales advisor contact - Phil Gould.
Between them they answered my calls, dealt with my issues and were excellent at keeping me updated and finally I have another buyer.
I’m now in the hands of the post sales support team but as yet, have had no contact from them.
I’d previously sold a house with Purplebricks very easily and successfully so had no hesitation in using them again.
They really need to work harder on communicating to clients listed with them, especially in a challenging market.
If it wasn’t for Ian and Phil, I would have given up and gone to a High Street estate sales agent.
Would I use Purplebricks again? This remains to be seen. I will make that judgement when the sales progression team have completed their job.

They do pretty much what it says on the tin. It's a no-frills estate agent that will professionally photograph, accurately measure and advertise your property on Rightmove for £799 plus an £80 anti-money laundering check (payable to Lifetime Legal). They'll arrange viewings but you'll need to do the viewings yourself. You can pay extra if you'd like them to do viewings for you. I got a valuation via video call and my flat was valued at exactly what I thought it was worth. It had sold within about a week and that's essentially their part done - it's in the hands of solicitors from there. Incidentally, DO NOT take their quote for conveyancing - they quoted me £1,780 when most conveyancers were around £1000. Not surprising when you look at the Ts and Cs and find that there are "referral fees" which (including VAT) came to a staggering £781 (Do the maths!). This is enough to lose them a star. Also contributing to that loss was their after-sales care being a bit sloppy. They supplied my buyer with incorrect details and didn't get back to me about a query I raised with them. They also (as far as I'm aware) didn't chase my buyer's solicitors (traditional estate agents should do this). So to sum up - absolutely use them if you're happy to do your own viewings, absolutely DON'T use their conveyancing services and stay in touch and on good terms with your buyer as those solicitors will need chasing.

The lady was lovely however the terms far exceeded others in price plus the extra costs for photos videos and the different rates.

Disappointing
Agent made promises about an open house and other strategies to encourage sale, but nothing materialised once I paid the money. The agent lost the front door key and didn't pay for a replacement. I feel mislead about their promises. I switched to a local agent who sold the property.

All of the team have been very helpful and responsive throughout our sale so far, starting with James Garland, through to Shannon, Abbey and Kav, the service has been brilliant so far and really easy, would definitely recommend - not forgetting Hayley the photographer who did a fabulous job for our advert.
Easy & efficient service to use
Reports arrived on the same day
Sara was very patient and helpful
Sara was very patient and helpful, taking as much time as needed to guide us through the initial set up. it was easier than we thought, She took us through the payment methods answering all questions fully. Excellent introduction to the Purple Bricks experience... Thank You
Avoid, but if not - DEFINITELY do not pay in advance
Do not make my mistake of paying in advance. Failed to sell my property after nearly a two thirds of a year on the market. I purchased with the viewings handled as an extra. Uncontactable at times, just too much added hassle for both the buyer and seller. If you or the buyer calls, you are put in a queue. Far easier to call a local agent. I requested a call back several times and emailed my handling agent - Anna-Marie Benjafield to ask for updates or a call back, never received a single call back or email. It is disappointing because purplebricks used to be good, I used them about 10 years ago and it was a very good experience. But I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole anymore. My best advice is to avoid, quite simply they are meant to make selling a house easier, but my experience was that they only made it more difficult!
