The PV People are now insolvent according to Companies house.

My family saved for a decade, eagerly anticipating the day we could finally invest in a solar installation. After diligently collecting quotes from numerous companies, it became abundantly clear that PV People stood out as the pinnacle of expertise and customer care. Their team appeared attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to crafting the perfect system for my needs. With panels, top-of-the-line Victron equipment, and even an exclusive 15.5kWh Fogstar battery that wasn't available elsewhere, I felt confident in my decision to entrust them with such a significant investment.

The installation itself proceeded without a hitch on February 14th, with only minor adjustments required afterward—a small inconvenience I was more than willing to tolerate for the sake of a job well done. However, my enthusiasm soon turned to despair as communication from PV People dried up entirely. Despite my persistent attempts to reach out via email and phone, my inquiries were met with resounding silence, leaving me in a state of bewildered frustration.

To compound matters, the scaffold on my property has remained erected long after its purpose had been served, it's still up now over 2 months later. Weeks turned into months, and still, there was no resolution in sight. Imagine my shock when an irate scaffolder appeared at my door, demanding answers about PV People's apparent disappearance. He revealed that he, too, had been left in the dark, unpaid for multiple jobs, and unable to reach anyone at PV People for clarification.

As a result, my property has effectively been held hostage, with the scaffold acting as a stark reminder of PV People's negligence and the ensuing legal battles. With each passing day, my anxiety mounts, exacerbated by the very real safety hazards posed by the neglected scaffold. Despite assurances of regular inspections, the recent storms have left it in a perilous state, endangering both my property and my family.

What began as a promising partnership has devolved into a nightmare scenario, one that has taken a significant toll on my mental well-being and strained my finances to the breaking point. I implore anyone considering PV People's services to proceed with extreme caution—this company's disregard for customer satisfaction and basic safety standards is nothing short of appalling. Spare yourself the anguish and avoid PV People at all costs.

Following my initial contact with the PV People I decided to add 2 more batteries to my system The quote from Joel was excellent compared to my last addition of 2 batteries, My ancient ageing Sofar system required a firmware update to cater for the latest incarnation of Pylontech battery then Ronald weaved his own particular magic to finalize the upgrade I now have a system of 14.4 Kwh which means I no longer use expensive day rate units Another success for the PV PEOPLE Thank you.

I recently decided it was time to get a battery to complement my solar panels and after several hours looking at installers' websites and their reviews, my shortlist of 3 was headed by PvPeople .
As soon as I spoke to Mark I knew that I didn't need to contact the other firms . . They had in stock the 9.5kw GivEnergy battery & inverter & immediately arranged for the engineer to do a survey two days later.
He arrived early, saw there were no problems, and to my surprise, said he could fit the battery straight away. So, to my delight, within a few hours the kit was in place and commissioned . . I had the GivEnergy app on my phone which linked in with the battery, my solar panels and my Octopus Energy Flux account . . I can now import cheap electricity at night to charge the battery and use that to power the house for 24 hours along with my solar panels which can also top the battery up when needed or export to the grid . .
All in all, it was Brilliant service from PvPeople . . all my pre-purchase questions were answered promptly, the installation was super swift and the few post-install queries I had were fielded thoroughly by Ronald . . I Highly recommend PvPeople . . it's been a pleasure . . Five Stars out of Five . . Thank you !!

They fitted a GivEnergy AIO Batt System, a very professional install by two polite & knowledgeable engineers(very neat as well).
Would highly recommend this company from my own experience with them.

We spoke with a few companies about a battery for our existing solar installation. A couple of companies came out to see us and one of those insisted that we can get get a big discount if we sign there and then. A neighbour told us about PV People and said their experience was a positive one with no waffle. We called and spoke with one of their engineers who asked a few questions about our needs. He then suggested two battery options to us. From picking our chosen battery to having our installation was seamless and done in just a couple of weeks. The engineer was lovely and cleaned up after himself and the whole team were just great. I have recommended them to my sister and told her not to bother with anyone else. well done PV People.

Could not fault the service, they came when they said they would come, did the job in a day and left no mess. They even did a curtesy email a week after installation to make sure I was happy and understood the app.
Best of all no up front payments were asked for payment made in full on completion of the works.

This is a company that cares about its customers. Their staff are knowledgeable and the solar instalation was well planned and well managed. The full installation was completed over a two day period.

PV people are not just another Solar install company. From the initial consultation it was very clear speaking as an Engineer, that these guys are Engineering lead. They don't want to just install and run, they want to provide the best solution possible to meet your needs. Theo did the initial consultation, which was very good, took onboard and listened our requirements. Delivered our quote with non of the sales pressure seen by other company's I've dealt with.

The install was done by Cam and Brad, and all I can say is it was well and above my expectations, such a neat install. When engineers take pride in there work you know you are going to get good results.

A huge thank you to the team at PV People who organised a roofer to repair our damaged school roof due to the recent storm. The roofer attended the same day and carried out the replacement of tiles to the damaged area. This enabled us to repair the damaged interior swiftly. We really needed help on the day of the storm and were very grateful for the fast and effective response. Thank you to the team.

The quotation from PV People was the most informative of all we received, and I felt happy that they really understood what we needed and how to achieve that for us. The battery and inverter installation they have provided is tidy and compact, and the app is readily understandable and easy to navigate. Although the price wasn't the lowest we saw, I am very glad we chose PV People for the work.

The people in the back office were great. Theo explained all the intricacies of the system so well after having spoken to a number of other companies who appeared not to really care. I would definitely recommend them. The fitter, Levi, was also brilliant and did a really good job!!

The team at PV people from roofer to electrician to the support team helped us get through a difficult early installation of a GivEnergy AIO. Solar panel installation was a breeze and all the cabling and install work was neat and tidy and left spotless afterwards. On commissioning the team found a suspected issue with the AIO and sourced a complete new unit from GivEnergy which they installed in place of the suspected faulty unit only to find the same issue. Despite having to come back on site numerous times the PV people team bent over backwards to get this sorted for us. Eventually tracking down a fault in the installation instructions and another issue with Wi-Fi connection finally going to a Ethernet connection to solve this. All through the process we felt PV people had our backs and knew there stuff. I’d recommend them as great installers with great product knowledge.

I am extremely pleased with the work from PV People.  I have got a 5 stars treat from the very beginning. I didn't know anything about solar panels before and how a solar system works, but Joel, the business development manager explained everything to me in very detail. He helped me to select the best possible parts according to my budget and my needs, basically they created a tailor-made solution for me. I have a big system but the installation was relatively quick, even the MD, Ron, came in the evenings to speed up the process. They made me an in roof system, which is aesthetically absolutely desirable. I can strongly recommend PV People to everyone.

The PV People are excellent. Ron and his team provide very good customer service, they are knowledgeable and constructive in finding the right solution to meet our needs, at the right price too! We had some difficulty with a previous installer and PV People helped get our install completed and certified. We have had solar panels, and are in the process of getting a battery installed too. I would absolutely recommend PV People.
