The Website BOT was not useful, I went round in circles multiple times. Then information it gave was only partially correct. The fact that RAC declare that the do not provide a telephone customer service is worrying based on the issues that arose when I was simply changing address. Then the charge was a surprise and seemed excessive compared to my experience of updating address elsewhere

I have been a road member of the RAC…
I have been a road member of the RAC for many years but this is the first time that I have taken out a motor insurance policy with them. I’m hoping that I will not need their services in any capacity in the coming year. Obtaining and accepting a competitive motor Insurance quote from them was very straightforward.
The only drawback was the limiting 28day availability. I had to resubmit a number of times in order to retain continuity of Cover.

Simple to Renew
It was simple to renew, I received an email stating my car insurance was due for renewal, and a price quoted. If I was happy with the price quoted, there was nothing to do and payment will be taken from my credit card which they had on record. It was that simple.

I stayed with RAC but they were no the most competitive quote.
It was also difficult to actually talk to a person and as a pensioner I do not like dealing with my personal finances etc online.
When I did speak to a person, she was very good and understanding but was unable to offer a better deal.
