Ordered a 1/76 scale 15cwt Ford van got a confirmation for it but they sent me a bedford wagon. Tried to return using Royal Mail return QR system but no joy neither could the post office staff get a QR for me so I paid to return it to Railwaymodelstore.At the moment I am quite a few £s out of pocket and nothing to show for it.Not happy.

A very positive experience. The online store was easy to navigate and the check-out process intuitive, quick and efficient. The item arrived well wrapped and remarkably quickly. I would happily use the company again.

Ok so my order was placed August 2019, to date, being yesterday, I got two items one of which was a replacement because the items are not available anymore. Hornby are awful for sending dealers enough stock so I reckoned this was why RMS were taking time to complete my order. So I'm still awaiting three hornby seven cities liveried coaches. I have phoned and emailed and lo and behold an almost immediate response. Quick update...... Spoke to Adam today, he advised a full refund on way and goods already received to be kept as a gesture of goodwill. Now that's service...

My order hasn’t arrived, the Post Office can’t help!!!!

I placed an order for 4 pieces of track, two were delivered fine but two weren't, instead two much shorter and incompatible pieces were sent loose with the other packaged track.

I advised them that the track pieces were missing and though I didn't request a refund or replacement as value of goods was only £7, they started a long and annoying procedure to replace the items.

First they wanted photos of the packaging and details of my order and what I had ordered which they must have on their system anyway.

Another email, they wanted pictures of the track I had received.

Another email, they wanted me to measure that track.

Then they wanted me to print out a return form and fill in lots of details and send back to them having gone to the post office to get a proof of posting, making it clear that only on receipt would they consider sending the correct track.

I work in Ecommerce and understand procedures for refunds etc but they don't usually take several emails and certainly not over 2 items worth £7 in total that they didn't supply.

I asked them to stop wasting my time and remove me from their system and advised I won't purchase from them again.

I posted this review and got the response 'if you give us a chance, we intend to make this right ..' so I emailed them back with the order number and details and suggested they sent the track I had originally ordered and paid for but after 2 days no response so that seems a rather empty offer 'to make it right'

The service I received was excellent. I had ordered originally a Mallard train and was impressed with the communication when it was sent. Then I had to exchange it as my husband had already got it! This was again an easy process with excellent communication from start to finish. Highly recommend the store.

The thing I like about this store is, the speed that they reacted to correct a mistake. I received my order and realised there was an item missing. I immediately e mailed them with my problem, to which they(after a short investigation) replaced the missing item. I was very impressed, and will shop with them again

Ordered a very competitively priced starter train set from RMS which arrived the next day. This experience illustrates perfectly the meaning of excellent customer service. I most certainly recommend RMS.

Can’t review the set as it is a present as yet ungiven but the guy on the end of the phone was really helpful and I ordered at 4.30pm and it arrived at 12.50pm the following day - cracking service! Sue
