You have to buy a huge kit when all you need is two parts.

I needed a couple of parts to repair my Belfast Sink waste outlet (plastic basket and fixing screw). I could not buy the parts individually so I had to buy a universal repair kit (Rangemaster) which contained about a dozen parts that I didn't need, about £7. At the spares counter, I wasn't allowed to open the bag to check the contents as it would invalidate any return. When I began to repair the sink waste I discovered that the fixing bolt was too short by about 20mm. The seller could not provide me with a longer bolt although they are available. I had to purchase one from ebay costing £5. I contacted Rangemaster to complain about their lack of common sense i.e. providing a kit only, where the crucial part, the fixing bolt, was too short. Their answer was a "fob off" full of apologies, excuses and platitudes. No help whatsoever. WELL DONE RANGEMASTER.

The single most overpriced item I have ever ordered

I ordered a Rangemaster Inner Door Insulation product to replace the original which had perished. It cost almost £50 including postage. What was delivered can only be described as a bit of tinfoil covering some cotton wool held together with duck tape. The real cost of materials couldn't have been more than a few pennies. The only reason I gave one star is because it was delivered fairly quickly. It was literally daylight robbery.

Wow just been completely ripped

Wow just been completely ripped off. Bought a new oven door seal and also new screws for the door which are advertised for £2.50. I thought I would get a set of screws for the door but no for £2.50 you get ONE screw. I had to go to local Screwfix and bought a bag of 50 identical screws for £4.00. Their other prices are also really expensive but this must be the biggest rip off of all time.

Rangemaster ESP110EISS/C Esprit 110cm…

Rangemaster ESP110EISS/C Esprit 110cm Induction Range Cooker 121380 – STAINLESS STEEL

Ours has gone wrong as in 2 x left oven and grill elements burnt out
left hand main door damaged A038793
switch facia panel bubbling A057718

When we bought our Rangemaster oven we were led to believe by the salesperson that we were buying into an investment that stand the tests of time but, now that components are starting to give up we are unable now to use half our double oven because parts are unavailable..

A real let-down for a supposed reputable organisation

HORRID COMPANY TO DEAL WITH

Rangemaster Spares are a family of brand names for appliance parts - they are in fact part of Screwfix. On the basis of my dreadful experience in attempting to get an error on their part resolved I will NEVER use any company affiliated with Screwfix again. They are the most awful set of companies I've ever experienced - you can only contact them by email (which they take days to respond to if ever) or Live Chat. As a consumer you are treated with contempt not as an equal partner in a transaction. There's no phone number to call, so you can't speak to an actual human being to iron out a problem.

My experience centres on the ordering of an oven thermostat on a Friday because my oven stopped working suddenly. I had a family function to cater for on the Sunday so I ordered the correct spare part and chose the expedited Saturday delivery. When the item arrived I noticed it was inadequately packaged and the thermostat was damaged in transit. Closer inspection showed, despite the external labelling, that the wrong part had been despatched - the part number is printed on the item and did not correspond with what I had ordered. This left me without the means to fix my oven.

I immediately initiated a Live Chat and things just got worse - lots of back and forth with the 'person' I was communicating with. They wanted me to place a new order for the part even though I explained that I couldn't afford to make such a purchase until I had a full refund. They wouldn't even contemplate an expedited replacement and collection. The onus was put firmly on me to rectify an error on their part - whilst they made every attempt to fleece me of more money.

Finally a collection was arranged - with DPD due to collect the item today. I was clearly informed that DPD would email me with all the relevant information regarding the collection. All I got was a confirmation of date and time.

Roll around to today and DPD arrive with no knowledge of providing labels etc. The driver explained that they do not routinely carry labels for customer collections.

So I had to go back into the whole merry-go-round of dealing with the Live Chat at Rangemaster Spares. They refused to organise a new collection at the earliest opportunity (ie. next day) giving me a choice of DPD collecting next week or me travelling miles to the nearest post office to print off a label via Royal Mail. There was no effort to treat me with even basic customer service. Even when I finally agreed to the collection next week they sent the wrong address through to DPD. All the operator was interested in was ending the call.

I have no faith at all that the new collection will actually take place.

Without this item being returned I can't get a refund to order another part. Meanwhile I have an oven that doesn't work, meaning I'm unable to cook for my family of 5. I live in a rural location and I also live with a chronic illness which makes me a vulnerable adult.

I placed my original order in good faith - believing that the Screwfix name would give me a measure of confidence in a straightforward transaction.

But it turns out they have the market sewn up with their ownership of spare parts companies - giving the impression of choice to the consumer when in fact no such choice exists. Combined with their contemptible approach to customer service and consumer accountability this means they operate with little regard to the ordinary people they should be laser focused on.

Disgraceful. Disrespectful. Disgusting.

LPG conversion kit for new Rangemaster Cooker …

Called Rangemaster a just over a week ago to seek advice before purchasing a Rangemaster Cooker. Due to being lpg they said purchase the cooker and then call back to order a foc lpg injector kit. Dean the advisor was very informative and helpful. Did precisely this the same day ordered the cooker and called back. Spoke to someone who said allow 5 working days for delivery for the lpg kit. I asked for email confirmation, she said we don’t usually do this but she would send me one over to confirm conversation and order. This was received to confirm order number, etc and told would be with us within 5 working days. Six working days later and cooker imminent, I chased today. Told by a not particularly friendly or helpful member of staff that the order had not been dispatched as previously advised eight days ago. She didn’t know why. Promising to email warehouse and get on a 24 hour delivery. Awaiting a email which again I had to ask for. New cooker and no lpg kit.🤔
No email received as promised, so still no dispatch confirmation. Cooker due tomorrow, plumber cannot install without the kit. Immune suppressed individual in the house.

We ordered a rangemaster

We ordered a rangemaster, and on delivery there was a note within advising that the handy meat rack and meat tin could not be included, and advised to order at partrequest blah, blah, blahSent email and included all the relevant information parts number, etc. E mail rebounded back !. Trying to speak to people on their chat facility proved USELESS. The note also stated that these accessory's at no cost/charge. Really annoyed.

Beware the cost of spares for older…

Beware the cost of spares for older equipment.
The 110 cooker hood has two carbon filters which they say need replacing every six months but the cost of theses is £175 each filter so that would mean in the course of a year it would cost £700 which is almost twice the cost of a new hood.

Took delivery of our Rangemaster Nexus…

Took delivery of our Rangemaster Nexus Induction last week. We discovered that the griddle plate was missing. Getting through to customer service was a nightmare - passed from one person to another and "on hold" for a total of 60 minutes. However, once I got through to James in spare parts, my problem was solved very quickly and efficiently. The missing griddle plate arrived 2 days later - could not have asked for more. James was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to.
