We asked Darrell to Tile 45 square meters of our new kitchen extension. It consisted of 3 sections of floor all on slightly different levels. Darrell gave us lots of great advice based on his extensive experience. The end result exceeded our expectations and looks fantastic. Aside from being a first class tiler, Darrell is also a great conversationalist and we really enjoyed his presence. If you are looking for a quality tiling job at a fair price, I highly recommend Tilewell Ceramics.

We were told the work would take 2 weeks and they were right. They tidied up and vacuumed every night. They were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Darrell helped us from beginning to end in choosing the right bathroom furniture and wall tiles. They did an absolutely amazing job. We would definitely use them again and would recommend them.

Everything done to a great standard and all on time, Tiled kitchen floor and splash backs, dining room and hall floors tiled, downstairs cloak room half tiled walls and floor, with all new furniture, Bathroom floor and walls tiled, bath replaced with a walk in shower, and new furniture - And all at a very acceptable price.

Darrell is always very knowledgeable in his area of expertise and we have used him on a number of occasions for work. He is highly skilled, thorough, conscientious and very hard working.

We had our en-suite renovated and the bathroom fitters advised we bring Darrell in to do the tiling due to the intricate pattern we wanted. Although we had some scheduling issues initially, Darrell took the time to visit following the first fix and spent a lot of time understanding what we wanted then discussing and advising the best way to achieve the vision including the preparation steps needed and the specific adhesives and grouts recommended for the different tile types we’d gone for. He even took a long time laying out and discussing potential patterns with us, all before even sending his estimate for the job.

We found his rates very reasonable, especially for the excellent finish, and he completed the work to schedule. We particularly appreciated his friendly and professional manner and it was a pleasure getting to know him during his time on our job.

Darrell tiled my hallway in Victorian style ceramic tiles. The result is perfect, he did a very careful and professional job. Very pleased with the result.

Darrell completed full wall and floor tiling for my downstairs bathroom. He checked in with me beforehand to make sure he understood the brief, gave me professional advice and guidance on options and provided a first class service.

Gave a good price but never showed up to our scheduled appointment. Didn't apologize, didn't answer email, didn't pick up phone.

We needed a professional to replace existing floor tiles - which had cracks along edges between rooms - and tile the rest of the downstairs which were carpet covered. This included 2 extensions, multiple doors and a challenge where the floor levels were not the same. The coverage was 80 square metres, floor levels were different ,- and we wanted the tiles to flow through the house "seamlessly". From first meeting with Darrell, we had full confidence that he was the professional we were looking for. He has years of experience and is a properly qualified tradesman. The advice he gave from the outset was excellent including what type and size of tile to buy and where we should consider going. He involved us in every decision regarding the tiling and he pulled off what we thought was impossible. Perfect lined up tiles throughout the downstairs, a floor perfectly level (we even used thermal boards to bridge the gap which at places ran to 20 mm). Darrelle is a consummate professional and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Bathroom refit, Darrell did an excellent job, so professional and he carefully considered every detail and kept us informed. I would recommend consulting with Darrell before purchasing your tiles, we selected ours, along with the furniture from a bathroom showroom and the design they came up with a feature wall couldn’t possibly work, so Darrell helped us change the design to minimize waste. Definitely recommend and we plan to get him back to do downstairs flooring. Nice to find a professional tradesman who cares so much about his work and the end result.

We’ve just had Darrell from TileWell Ceramics round to lay underfloor heating and tile our kitchen/dining room floor and me and my wife can’t stop smiling! Absolutely flawless! Darrell gave us plenty of options to choose from regarding grout and tiles and worked extremely hard to sort all the problems we had with the levels on the floor. Will definitely be using again, HIGHLY recommended!

Darrell did an exceptional job of tiling our Kitchen using geometric Victorian tiles, and we could not be happier with the final result.

Flawless tiling
Darrell tiled our kitchen floor and our bathroom, and both are perfect. He is a supremely talented craftsman with exacting high standards and, as is increasingly rare today, is reliable and has unimpeachable integrity. We won't use any other tiler.

Darrell did an exceptional job of tiling some very bespoke tiles into our new shower.

Blanc Gris' Zellige tiles are very difficult tiles to work with as they are not uniform in anyway and the surfaces are not flat, usually being either concave or convex!

The way Darrell worked with the tiles, understood how to fit them correctly (1mm or 2mm spaces only), and grouted them was superb.

We will definitely get Darrell back in to do more work for us in the future.
