This was the worst possible moving…

This was the worst possible moving experience ever. DO NOT employ them. Everything keeps doubling in price repeatedly! They hold your belongings hostage and want more money before they will unload the trucks. They will not schedule a delivery time even though they ask you when you want it; it has no bearing on when you will get it. They are rude. We even had the police out. They don't have drivers licenses and even though one out of 4 did, it was not for trucking. It is a SCAM.

Missing property, mixed shipments, damaged belongings, and serious concerns about cubic-foot charges

My experience with Rapid Express Moving & Storage during my interstate move was extremely concerning from pickup through delivery.

At pickup on August 7, 2026, the foreman looked at my belongings and told me they were going to need to increase the space for my shipment. I told him no and made clear that I would leave belongings behind rather than agree to another increase. He then spoke with his crew and came back and told me they could proceed with the quote I already had.

After loading, I asked to take a photograph of how my belongings had been loaded. The foreman told me, in substance, “we didn’t pack it tight.” This was particularly concerning to me because my pricing was based on 731 cubic feet, and I had already disputed the amount of space attributed to my shipment before pickup.

The problems continued at delivery on September 3.

I discovered that at least three boxes were missing and multiple belongings were damaged. At the same time, Rapid Express attempted to deliver property belonging to other customers. I immediately rejected three stools because they were not mine, and after unpacking I discovered another customer’s soundbar mixed with my belongings.

During unloading, crew members repeatedly asked whether untagged items belonged to me. They also brought me my old iPhone after finding it loose on the truck floor, even though I had packed that phone inside a taped box.

My mattress arrived folded in half. When I questioned the delivery crew, I was told it had been folded that way for weeks and that this was how they had received it.

I repeatedly requested the itemized inventory so I could check off my belongings during unloading. It was never provided to me. I was also presented with an electronic document to sign. I specifically asked what I was signing and was told it was for the release of my goods. I requested a copy of what I signed and was not provided one.

After I reported the missing property, the delivery driver told me he would contact the other delivery stops to determine whether any of them had my belongings. Given that another customer’s property was delivered to me while my own property remains missing, this was especially concerning.

I also dispute the circumstances surrounding the $0.60-per-pound-per-article Released Value provision in my paperwork. I do not recall being meaningfully presented with the available valuation choices and asked to choose between them before being directed where to initial/sign electronically.

I have documented the missing and damaged property, preserved my communications, formally notified Rapid Express, and filed complaints with the appropriate state and federal authorities. Those matters remain ongoing.

This review reflects my personal experience and what I personally observed or was told during my move. Based on that experience, I would not use Rapid Express Moving & Storage again.

It’s a scam through and through

It’s a scam through and through. You’ll be scammed at the time of putting down a deposit thinking you’re getting competitive pricing, then scammed when you get over twice the price AT the time of their arrival at your move, then scammed again when AFTER loading your items, you’re made to sign a contract burying language stating they can have your items stored for 21 business days.

My experience with **Rapid Express…

My experience with **Rapid Express Moving and Storage (rapidexpressmoving.com)** has been completely unacceptable.

Rapid Express was the carrier that physically picked up my family’s belongings for our move from **Tucson, Arizona, to Jacksonville, Florida**. I originally booked through Coastal Moving Services and was quoted for **560 cubic feet** after sending photos of all of my belongings.

Then pickup day arrived.

The Rapid Express crew looked at everything and told me that the 560 cubic feet I had already paid for would take only about **half of my belongings**.

And the price to take the rest?

**Approximately $5,000 more.**

Not weeks before the move. Not while I still had time to compare companies or make another plan.

**On pickup day.**

My family was already committed to an interstate move. I could not suddenly produce another $5,000, so I had to make a decision no customer should be forced to make under that kind of pressure.

I left behind and threw away roughly **half of my furniture**.

Beds. Furniture. Household belongings we had expected to take to our new home.

Gone.

And somehow, that was only the beginning.

It has now been approximately **six weeks since Rapid Express picked up my belongings**.

When I recently called to find out what was happening, I was told something I genuinely did not expect to hear:

**My belongings are still in Arizona.**

Six weeks.

My family has already moved from Arizona to Florida, yet the belongings Rapid Express picked up apparently have not even left Arizona.

So I asked the obvious question:

**When will they be delivered?**

The answer?

There is **no delivery date assigned**, and they **do not know when my belongings will be delivered**.

Read that again.

Rapid Express has had possession of my property for approximately a month and a half, and I still cannot get a meaningful delivery date.

To be fair and precise, the original **560-cubic-foot estimate came from Coastal Moving Services**, not Rapid Express.

But Rapid Express is the company that:

* physically arrived to pick up my belongings
* told me at pickup that the purchased space would take only about half of them
* requested approximately **$5,000 more**
* took possession of the belongings I was able to send
* has now had those belongings for approximately **six weeks**
* told me they are still in Arizona
* cannot provide me with an assigned delivery date

That distinction matters.

So does responsibility.

When a moving company takes possession of a family’s belongings for an interstate move, customers should not have to spend weeks wondering where their property is or whether anyone can even tell them when it will arrive.

**Six weeks with no delivery date is not a minor inconvenience.**

It means living in a new state without your belongings while the company holding them cannot give you a clear answer about when you will see them again.

Based on my experience, **I would never use Rapid Express Moving and Storage again.**

If you are considering **Rapid Express Moving and Storage / rapidexpressmoving.com**, get absolutely everything in writing before your belongings go onto the truck:

**The cubic footage. The exact price. What happens if the carrier disputes the estimate. Any additional charges. The pickup terms. The delivery window. And who is responsible once your property is loaded.**

Do not rely on verbal assurances when your entire household is sitting on the curb and the truck is already at your door.

I wish someone had warned my family before we learned that lesson the expensive way.
