The platform works really well for our payment operations. The interface is simple to use, and the payment flow is smooth for customers. UPI and card payments have been reliable, and settlement tracking is easy to understand. Overall, it has been a good experience for our business.
There have been 3 instances in last 2 months where our customers were charged 8% currency conversion charges, which are not supposed to be charged.
The customers are very upset about the illegal charges levied on them and we have been trying to get razorpay to resolve this. But they do not respond
I wouldn't recommend their service

Fast but gets hanged frequently. Having their merchant account since last 2+ years with a sizeable transaction. Also after 2% platform fees, prefer to sit on our money for every possible bank holiday. Why? You are immediately getting that money into your account, so why adopt an age old practice

Worse never work with them else you regret as hell

Razorpay Give Fake Promises. Razorpay give Fake Tracking Details of DTDC on email. Her Employee Gunjan given fake commitment that you are our elite customer. We will make group for you. Whoever is in business, don't take any services from Razorpay. These people are money-sucking leeches. Without any proof, they hold the money and blame the customers. It's better to report to the RBI. I am adding the extra points that I am going through. These Guys hold my sales amount without any clarification or chargeback, and my 1 Lac worth product is stuck with the customer. These clowns has no solution. Now my other customers are raising refunds and complaining about us. Who will take responsibility

We had a very disappointing experience with Razorpay.
Our merchant account was suddenly permanently disabled citing a vague “violation of Terms of Service,” but no specific reason, clause, or evidence was ever provided. This lack of transparency is extremely concerning for any business relying on a payment gateway.
From our side, the only recent activity was removing an old bank account and not immediately updating the new one, which led to settlement failures. This was clearly a technical/operational mistake, not a policy violation or fraudulent activity.
Despite this, Razorpay took a drastic step by disabling our account and holding our funds for 120 days, which has significantly impacted our business operations and cash flow.
Support responses have been generic and unhelpful, with no real explanation or resolution offered.
We expected a fair review process, proper communication, and an opportunity to resolve the issue — but none was provided.
Key concerns:
No clear explanation of the alleged violation
No transparency or evidence shared
Severe action taken for what appears to be a minor issue
Funds blocked for an extended period
Poor and non-responsive support
We strongly urge Razorpay to improve their transparency, communication, and merchant support processes. Businesses deserve clarity and fair treatment.

Worst Payment Gateway, Never use this payment gateway it scammed me 2400rs saying for business registration and till now it has not refunded

DON'T EVER use their company registration service which is a total lie and bait tactic.
They don't register the company at all but move all your data to startup-movers without informing you correctly but hiding it deeply in TOS.
They advertise BIG 1499 RS professional fee which later turns in 6000 RS because of governmental fee which are not so high.
If you even decide to pay the 6000 Rs to proceed quickly and not lose time they have forms created which nearly ALWAYS create problems so you need to call or write to startup-movers customer support which they are waiting for.
But instead of fixing a minor problem they send you a new offer but this time 30000+ Rs for basicly adding the information you can't add into the form manually calling it special problems which needs to be resolved.
PUR BAIT AND SCAM TACTIC.
Also startup-movers disabled posting reviews on google as they got flooded with one start reviews from foreigners.
If you don't want to deal with trouble i recommend avoiding their company registration service

They can't even be bothered to reply to our emails. Terrible company.

After signing up (had to follow up a couple of times to wake them up), account was opened. After just 3 days of launch and multiple transactions done by our customers, they stopped settlement! Now they want testimonials from our customers, bills issued, proof of service and goods provided, agent visit to our doorstep to check authenticity (still awaiting), etc.
My question is why was the account even opened and running before all these questions are asked?
And to make things worse, customer support team.

Bad.
I do not understand why it is even exist when payment failing continuously. Or is it a way of gaining people's identity?!

This company is a joke. Really pathetic experience. First of all they say it is rs 1499 to register a company then make you pay 10 times of that. They make you pay first then rest of process starts. Then they send your information to third parties who do not even read a thing that you filed in the form. And copy 35 people in an email sharing all your information. No concept of privacy or transparency. They are simply fooling customers.

Oh, Razorpay, you really nailed it this time. I just needed a basic domain change — should’ve been easy, right? But no, instead of actually helping, I got a 30-minute lecture from your sales team. Love how you guys turned a 2-minute task into an hour of me questioning my life choices.
Other platforms can handle a simple request without making their customers feel like they’re asking for the moon. But hey, if you’re into wasting your customers’ time, I guess I’ll just look for someone who actually knows what they’re doing. Keep up the "great" work.

Pathetic KYC Process - cost me thousands of dollars in revenue missed
My LLP has a completely legitimate and common structure: I am an NRI holding 90%, and the India-resident partner holds 10%. Yet the system blindly forces KYC from the majority partner, even when that partner is an NRI and cannot complete India-specific verification. At the same time, the India-resident partner is blocked because his shareholding is “only” 10%.
The result? A compliance deadlock created entirely by Razorpay’s own system design.
This is not a regulatory requirement issue. It’s a product logic failure. Product teams are definitely inexperienced and immature.
Instead of accommodating real-world business structures, the onboarding flow is rigid, poorly thought through, and clearly not designed with cross-border ownership scenarios in mind. For a company positioning itself as a modern fintech platform, this level of inflexibility is surprisingly stupid.
Support has been slow and unable to provide a clear resolution, turning what should be a routine onboarding process into an unnecessary operational bottleneck.
If your entity has any NRI participation or even mildly non-standard equity distribution, RUN!

Razorpay’s KYC process is extremely poorly designed and has wasted a significant amount of my time.
My LLP has a very common structure where I, an NRI partner, hold 90% equity while the India-resident partner holds 10%. The platform forces KYC from the majority partner even when that partner is an NRI and cannot complete India-specific verification. At the same time, the India-resident partner is blocked from completing KYC simply because his shareholding is exactly 10%.
This creates a ridiculous deadlock where neither partner is able to proceed, effectively blocking business onboarding for no valid compliance reason.
Instead of enabling businesses, Razorpay’s onboarding process feels rigid, outdated, and disconnected from real-world company structures. Support has also been slow and unhelpful in resolving what should be a straightforward scenario.
If your business has NRI involvement or a non-standard partner structure, be prepared for unnecessary delays and frustration.

Extremely disappointing and misleading experience with RegisterKaro.
I paid ₹75,500 to RegisterKaro for company incorporation, statutory compliances, and Startup India–related services based on the assurances and commitments made by their representatives. From the very beginning, I was asked to make advance payments, including MCA-related fees, with promises that all services would be completed smoothly and within a short time.
Even after several days, no proper service was delivered. The panel/portal provided to me was faulty and did not reflect the services correctly, despite multiple follow-ups. Instead of resolving these issues, I was continuously pressured to purchase additional services that were not required at my business stage.
During the sales discussion, I was also given misleading information regarding Startup India/Wadhwani funding, which created urgency to take the service immediately. Later, I discovered that this funding window had already closed, which completely broke my trust.
When I finally requested a refund due to non-delivery and loss of trust, the situation worsened. I was contacted by RegisterKaro and asked to delete my negative reviews and share my payment QR code, with the assurance that my refund would be processed. After I complied and deleted all the reviews, I was told that since it was a Saturday, the refund would be credited on Monday.
It is now Monday evening, and the refund has still not been received. My calls and follow-ups are again going unanswered. This shows a clear pattern of repeated promises without action and a complete lack of accountability.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before making any payment to this company.
