This was truly the best course I have taken part in. Calliese and Naetha were really welcoming and created a really safe space. The group as a whole were really amazing, and even though it was only 5... See more

RCA CCAR Training
This 5-Week training has provided me with a strong skill set to embark as a recovery coach. It was thorough, yet understandable, with the trainers taking time to answer all the questions I had. The trainers were engaging, using their experiences to work with us, whilst also wanting to hear our experiences and view points too. I got a real sense that the community is what makes the training in their eyes, and we were all made to feel valuable to one another's processes. Another crucial part is it's affordability compared to other coaching trainings, and in my opinion it is affordable and arguably more thorough than other trainings that were on offer to me. Additionally, the trainers were flexible with those of us who could not attend a session, and assured us that we would be able to catch up.
Before I started I was worried that being online would mean I would not connect as much, but the trainers have a brilliant ability to enhance a community through conversation and group work. I was also wondering how actual coaching practice would work online, but the breakout sessions, alongside the additional free trainings provided were brilliant (and gave me an important skill given working online these days is so prominent).
Something I feel more confident in now is my understanding of different approaches to recovery; the training has given me a real awareness and with that a real excitement to work in this way. The training was fantastic as it did not end once the session was done, through a combination of recommended pre-work and the important conversations we had in the trainings, I would think a lot about my views, and I have left with new perspectives.
I would really encourage anyone to do this training. Something I found very important was how anyone, no matter their relationship to recovery, was brought in and championed, and I met people from all different walks of life. Having now completed the training, I am going on to do the next step for my RCP designation.
RCA is Awesome!
Firstly i'd like to thank Reframe for setting me up on this course and giving me the opportunity to gain certification in something that has become increasingly valuable to me.
Secondly, Thank you Naetha and Calliese for your unwavering support within every single session. You made something so alien become so familiar and understandable. I liked how it felt there was no right or wrong answers when completing the tasks getting involved in group sessions and role plays.
I started because i wanted to help others with Gambling addictions and share my lived experiences and give back to the community for the assistance i had received. I was not sure how this was going to go and a little nervy to begin with. but as the sessions went on i felt i grew into a coach. I gained invaluable knowledge along the way.
Everyone was able to be vulnerable share they're own experiences and most importantly use that to learn to become a coach, RCA is a fantastic Advocate for Recovery coaching programs and training those who wish to embark on this journey of helping others. I cannot thank you enough.
Best,

Possibly the best training course I have attended!
I joined the 5 day Recovery Coach Academy because I felt it would be helpful to me in my role, as an addictions counsellor, but also because I am passionate about recovery. Before starting, I was wondering what the training would be like, as I felt that spending 5 days training online would be difficult/tedious. However, I could not have been more wrong! The training was so engaging, interesting and a fantastic way to connect with amazing people from all over the world. What stood out most to me was the passion with which the trainers delivered the course, and how in-depth and powerful some of our discussions were. The opportunities to practice coaching and get feedback from our peers were amazing. After completing the training, I will be incorporating elements of it into my work, but also going forward and researching more about the different kinds of recovery, and the resources available in my area. For someone considering training with RCA, I would say definitely do it! It is one of the best training courses I have ever attended, and the connections I made were unbelievable.
So much more than just a training course!
I spent a lot of time researching different training options before choosing the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy and I’m so pleased I did.
I’ve just completed the five-day Recovery Coach Academy course and the training genuinely exceeded my expectations. The balance between theory, group discussion, breakout sessions and practical exercises kept the training engaging throughout, and the trainers created an environment where everyone felt comfortable contributing and asking questions.
A massive shout out has to go to Naetha and Calliese,
who were absolutely amazing throughout the five weeks. They created such a supportive, encouraging and engaging environment and really brought the training to life. Their knowledge, warmth and passion for what they do really came through in every session and they made the whole experience feel incredibly positive from start to finish.
What stood out most was that this wasn’t just about working through course material. It really challenged me to think more deeply about the role of a Recovery Coach, meeting people where they are and recognising that everyone’s pathway to recovery is different.
I’ve just finished the five day course with a much stronger understanding of recovery coaching but also with a greater appreciation of how much more there still is to learn and practise. For me, that says a lot about the quality of the training.
I’m continuing on the RCP pathway with RCA and am genuinely excited about the training and development still to come.
I would absolutely recommend the Recovery Coach Academy to anyone considering professional training in recovery coaching.

A brilliant very meaningful Subject !
Once again I was totally amazed just how my thought processed the diversity of the meanings of Spirituality and Religion, the group as a whole were also key to have me understand the different aspects of this course. I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking more personal understanding to later if they wish to help others
Highly Engaging
Really enjoyable training provided by Naetha and Calliese.
Lots of really interesting topics covered throughout the course. Open minded conversations are greatly encouraged also. Study material provided gave me a lot to think about in-between sessions too.

Ethical condsideration course has…
Ethical condsideration course has opened my eyes to subjective thoughts, moral compass using, understanding wider impacts and the importance of asking questions. Could we make mistakes of course but was there reasons behind the actions taken of course. Calliese thank you for delievering such a fantastic topic. I have taken so much away and reflecting on the 3 day course.
Professional/engaging workshop
Facilitator was professional, engaging and organised - starting/finishing on time. Very useful content reinforced through discussion.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course
The facilitators of this course were excellent and very knowledgeable. The course itself was great and opened my eyes up to the benifits of recovery coaching for individuals, families and communitites. Even though it is an online course, there was a lot of engagement and active learning with our peers. I highly recommend signing up to the RCA and doing their courses.
