Taking payment a full week ahead of renewal ( although it was returned promptly when I complained).

We do advise in our renewal invitation that payment may be collected up to 7 days before the renewal date and ask customers to contact us if they do not wish their policy to renew.
In line with the policy terms and conditions, if we do not receive instructions to cancel, the policy will automatically renew to help ensure there is no gap in cover.
We collect renewal payments in advance so that any payment issues can be identified and resolved before the renewal date, helping to prevent customers from being left without cover.

Policy Cancelled Before Renewal, but still charged
Hi. I cancelled the policy renewal one week before the renewal date, but the Direct Debit has still gone out for £63.78, 6 days before the new policy starts. Please confirm that this will be refunded ASAP. I have no immediate plans to use a hire car, but may take out your policy again if I do. Kind regards, Bret
