Smooth sailing all the way. There is plenty of flexibility and convenience compared to the competition, particularly a certain -eel company.
Broken processes across the company
I worked for a tech startup that outsourced HR functions to Remote, including hiring paperwork, tax forms, and payroll.
Remote has consistently and significantly underperformed in every aspect of their responsibilities as a business services provider. Just a few examples of gross negligence during my employment:
-Sharing someone else's I-9 documents with me (Passport, Driver's License)
-Implementing two-factor authentication without any registration (effectively locking me out for days without the ability to resolve)
-Multiple transfers of COBRA administrators without communication causing lapses in insurance coverage
-Not providing tax forms on time (as of Mar 22, I still haven't gotten a critical tax form to file my taxes)
If you are looking to do business with Remote, look elsewhere because they screw up everything that should be core to their business.

Outdated information that doesn't reflect the reality of Brazil. I inquired about the health insurance plan and only received access links and promises of contact, but nothing changed, and I remain with my doubts and no one to turn to.
Everything works great…until someone screws up and you’re ghosted by their support team
My contract with Remote as a contractor for another company ended on October 31st 2025. Since then, I’ve been having issues with social security, and recently realised it was Remote’s fault for not providing the proper documentation. I contacted Remote on February 24th and again on March 2nd…still yet to hear from them.

I think the overall support has been great. Remote is an outstanding platform. My payment failed twice, and when it finally succeeded on the third attempt, I was worried that I might be charged multiple times. However, to my surprise, I was not overcharged at all.
They kept me informed at every step—what went wrong and what needed to be done—which I really appreciated.
A special thanks to Deepthi for patiently answering all my queries. A huge, huge thanks to Remote—you truly provide a great platform.
I do have a small suggestion from a user’s perspective. During the entire process, I received only one human response per day. Even when I asked follow-up questions, I often had to wait until the next day for a reply. It felt like there was a limited quota for human responses.
I understand that Remote is a large company and may not be able to respond instantly to everyone, but this is just a minor concern I wanted to share.
Once again, thank you, Deepthi, and a huge thanks to Remote. I have endless appreciation for your platform. Thank you again!
