Having had a couple of retro gaming consoles in the past from full size arcade machine from arcade mania to a cheap £20 stick of Amazon this is a step above the rest . After finding the retro boss on google I tried finding any videos/ reviews on YouTube but there doesn’t seem to be any . So finally biting the bullet I ordered the full package ( 2 controllers, Wii mote, sensor bar, keyboard, mouse , vinyl wrap ) total £349. 3 days later my new retro console is delivered so wasted no time trying to set it up. I was surprised to see that the 2tb hard drive was an external plug in usb ( probably my own fault for not knowing what one was and not seeing it in any pictures ) but didn’t affect me in anyway , only one little gripe is that the instructions say it must be plugged into front left usb where I think it would look better if plugged into the back to hide the wire. The pc itself is very strong and sturdy and the vinyl wrap looks amazing ( would definitely recommend a vinyl wrap ) the controllers , mouse , keyboard etc are also very good quality and is all easy to set up even by someone like me. So onto the games. The amount of different entertainment consoles this has is quite unbelievable, I am able to play games from my youth like Chucky egg on amstrad upto games on ps2/3 and Wii u. Although I have noticed some imperfections while playing Zelda twilight princess Wii u , not game play but graphics around water this isn’t enough to ruin your gaming experience. And although I haven’t played all the games on here I can say that the ones I have played 99.9 have run perfectly . I have even got the kids playing some of the gun games like duck hunt and point blank which is a great fun and enjoyable to see kids competing for the highest score. I have contacted retropia a few times regarding settings on games but most of these has been my fault for not reading the instructions properly but every query I have made was always replied with instructions so please retropia keep this up as there are a lot of games on here to get through .So in summary, £350 for the whole package is a lot of money to spend but I do think this is totally worth it considering what you are getting . If you are unsure on buying this than all I can say is , I was unsure about buying this as well but I am so glad I did , I have even replaced my ps4 with this in the front room.

In mid December 2024 I bought one of the Retroboss setups with controllers, keyboard, mouse and setup for Nintendo Wii, and bought a Sinden light gun separately. It didn't get as much use as I would have liked for the first few months. But this is an awesome piece of kit! The instructions that come with it are superb, it looks and feels well made and the front end menu system works really well allowing you to save a "Favourites" list of games. There is a little configuaration at times to change screen settings and remove overlays (imagine a console or TV type border) for each game, and the Sinden light gun requires calibration and some playing with the light settings to see what works best...which is to be expected. I think its unrealistic to expect something like this to be totally plug and play but this is superb! The catalogue of PS1, PS2, Megadrive, NES, N64, Amiga and Arcade games to name a few is immense. Finally the support offered by the company in terms of forums to pose questions or being able to contact them to ask for help has been excellent, I only needed this once to ask for help with the Nintendo Wii side of the system. Give this system a go, it is awesome!

I'd bought a Time Machine retro games console a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it but loads of games where missing from what would be my ideal list. When I went through the list of games on this I honestly don't think any are missing, it's everything I could wish for personally. Whether it's Pole Position on Atari, Cannon Fodder on Amiga or Metal Gear Solid on PS2. Can't fault it and worth the money.

We decided out of all the many retro consoles that promise so much that this is the best one to experience. It's an incredible piece of work and delivers on what it promises. It's running Sega Rally 1/2/3 arcade versions pretty damn well!! The light gun section is highly entertaining with the Wii remote control working superbly well (Sinden lightguns work great as well). This is my go-to console and will be for the foreseeable future.
The Retropia guys go the extra mile for their customers and from what I've read on their site any questions are dealt with quickly and efficiently. It's expensive and that seems like a risky investment but we're entirely satisfied that this console is top value and SUPERBLY constructed and value for money.
Easily the best all-in-one retro gaming experience you can get

I have to say I have always wanted one of these little consoles - I’m not disappointed! 😊 Really good packaging very good customer service and all in all, I would recommend to anyone who shares an interest in the 80/90’s computers This is a must 👊

I actually haven’t played it as I bought as a gift for a friend in the U.S . Hopefully he should get it soon . I really wanted to get the system for the Daphne games when I get one . The after sales service and the answers to all my queries was above and beyond and I would highly recommend them if you are considering getting into retro stuff

I’ve always wanted to relive my youth and play the games that I grew up with. Consequently I’ve been stung with “retro consoles” in the past. The memory stick that plugs straight into your tv, the Raspberry Pi based systems that promise thousands of classic titles, all of which have been unreliable, clunky and unplayable with a terrible UI, meaning specific games were impossible to find.
I was a little dubious when I saw the Retro Boss system advertised on social media, but based on the reviews I decided to take a punt…and I’m so glad that I did.
Ok, it’s a little pricier than the other systems out there, but it’s not a memory stick, or a Raspberry Pi, it’s a “proper” PC with great X Box style controllers and it just works. It works so much better than any of the other systems I’ve tried in the past. I haven’t been able to think of a a game that isn’t on it yet…on any format. The choice of retro consoles is staggering (some I’ve never heard of!) The UI is a breeze to use and specific titles can be found without any effort. The games all work well, some require a little reconfiguring of the controller, which is understandable and more importantly, there are detailed instructions providing direction on how to do it! The after sales service is second to none. I had an issue with the sound after setting the console up for the first time and Retropia were brilliant. Quick responses, suggestions on how to resolve and detailed instruction. It turned out to be my tv that was the problem so I was up and running in no time.
I can’t recommend this system, or the seller enough. There’s no doubt in my mind that this is the best option out there if you’re a fan of retro games. All credit to Retro Boss.

This is the ultimate retro gaming console, with just about every game and system you can think of and then some!
Customer service is simply amazing and I can now play Marble Madness with a trackball.
Also purchased the Sinden Light Gun to play a range of light gun games, great fun!
The only change I made was replacing the supplied controller for a wireless Snes controller, but this was a personal choice!
This system is worth every penny, treat yourself!

Retro gaming handheld purchase
This is my third purchase from Retropia and - again - I'm really happy with both the product and the price. The product is very 'plug and play' with no set-up required for people like me who burn toast. Plus, if you have a problem, they're always really easy to contact via social media and happy to help out (or in my case just explain the obvious!).

What can I say the retro boss is amazing and I am really impressed I can’t believe I have finally got a home retro console that has the power to run arcade classics like ridge racer,Daytona USA and Time crisis and the emulation is so crisp it’s certainly a massive upgrade to the retrodroid from retropia which I also own. This is my fourth review in all.Thank you for you patience and help a customer service that is very unusual today in terms of how fantastic and helpful you guys have been with all my 4 purchases from retropia👍

My 'Retroboss' arrived quickly, and whereas it is more expensive that other similar products, I think it's money well spent; the unit is robust (metal, not plastic), with all cables and works wonderfully...when loaded, you moved left and right to move between the systems available and then up down to scroll thru' the 38,000 games. Very, very happy...had all I wanted (essentially old football games from consoles past as far back as the Amstrad CPC) and many more games I'd forgotten the name of, or forgotten all together.

I picked up the RetroBoss as a birthday present (to myself) and after a couple of months with it I can honestly say I’m really impressed with it.
The delivery was very quick, especially considering I requested a few games to be added (which was done for me, no questions asked). It’s ready to go straight away on start up as it states with the plug and play interface being fairly intuitive and easy to use. The list of games and consoles is quite astonishing, there is a lifetimes worth of content here!
One thing to remember is that this is a pc running emulated games and so the experience you get, particularly with some of the newer consoles on the list, isn’t 100% true to the original machines. However, 90% of the games run perfectly smoothly. I played through the HD Wind Waker remaster on the Wii U to put it to the test and I did get some slow down during boss fights and weather effects, but nothing game breaking. All the Mario Kart games run great, Silent Hill and it’s sequels on the PS2 play very nicely. As expected, anything from the 16 or 8 bit era is pretty much spot on. I’ve loved playing through some 32X and Mega CD titles as I could never afford those add ons back in the 90s! Star Wars Arcade on the 32X is a bit of a hidden gem.
There are a few controller issues I noticed on the Gamecube with some buttons being weirdly mapped, and rogue squadron 2 is very unstable (which is an emulation problem not a retroboss problem). However, the RetroBoss forums are very responsive and I’ve found they are quite happy to offer support with particular games.
The Sinden gun works great with the compatible shooters on there, playing through Time Crisis and House of the Dead is a blast. Its worth forking out for the separate add on for that old school tactile experience if you care about that sort of thing.
It’s hard to imagine a time when I won’t be playing through something on here, there really is so much entertainment value. Worth every penny.

Bought a retroboss games console from retropia after considering the options. So glad I did! Fantastic console that, as it's based on batocera, works fantastic with a sinden lightgun! 38000 games and reasons to buy this console. The guys at retropia are very reactive to your questions as well, making it the complete package. Very highly recommended!
