I ordered two blue PS3 controllers...

Checked with customer service:

"They are refurbished controllers and they are properly tested before shipping"

3 weeks later I get the controllers..

Two black controllers.

They both do not take a charge.

The center PS button on one of them doesn't press.

The only way to even operate these "refurbished" controllers is to have the cord plugged into the PS3 and the controller.

I spent $80USD on this lol

My experience was an A+ from the service provided to the actual product itself. I purchased a Gamecube console for my son. The product has exceeded our expectations. I had product questions and concerns initially, months after my purchase. Their response time was prompt and very helpful. It was just an overall pleasant surprise to make a purchase online, as a first time customer with Retro Games and where they held true to their product and customer satisfaction standards. I would definitely purchase from them again! If you are skeptical about purchasing online or from RetroGames, I'll say give them a try, you won't be disappointed. I would also like to add that I worked with John and he provided professional, consistent, helpful service and made sure I was a satisfied customer. He answered all my questions.

This company is a scam, beware they sell fake products

I am an eBay seller and this company has purchased games from me to fulfill orders through their company site. That's fine (though something for potential Retro vGames customers to be aware of)
Today they opened a return request with me and wrote the return as though they were the customer having issues with the disc. This is disingenuous because I have dozens of orders from their eBay account where they are clearly fulfilling orders to different customers. I don't appreciate someone not shooting straight with me when I've fulfilled dozens of orders for their company and potential customers should be aware they may wait weeks if the eBay seller Retro vGames picks is not as diligent.

Avoid this company at all costs. I ordered an Xbox from them and it arrived smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, with bugs, broken controllers, scratched discs that wouldn’t read, missing games, and even completely wrong titles in the box. Their return process is a nightmare… they do everything they can to keep your money. Honestly, one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. If you want working items and a sane return process, go with DKOLDIES instead… they actually deliver what they promise. Take this review seriously: don’t buy from here.

I ordered a SNES and game and controller. I paid for expedited shipping. They didn't follow through with that. Just sent me stuff whenever they got around to it. And then when I called them, they told me to call back after I receive my items so they could refund me my shipping
What's the point in paying for that and actually expecting them to follow through with it if they aren't. If I was you I find another spot to get my stuff. Hoping my stuff actually shows up

I bought Nintendo 3DS, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, and 32gb SD card. Packaged very poorly.. Just very thin layer of bubble wrap and a thin plastic envelope. No box. No packaging to support transport, minus VERY THIN layer of bubble wrap.. Website said the system was refurbished. Absolutely false. The screen is very flimsy, and the volume button slides down by itself. The system is extremely dirty.... Covered in dirt and finger prints all over. The system does start up and play games. Thats why im giving 2 stars. But Absolutely will NOT be buying from here again....

I ordered a ps1 bundle with ff7 and ff8. First I received the box with only the system cords and 1 controller. The games were not in the package. The system should have included 2 controllers but it only had one, and it was not in good condition. I emailed them and they shipped a ff7 and ff8 separately. The ad showed black label versions, the ff8 was a greatest hits version, and the ff7 came in a black dvd case.

Not impressed with this company and will not use again.

Don’t make the same mistake I did and not research them first. I’ve seen multiple complaints similar to mine.

I purchased a few games and most of them were so scratched up I could not use them on my console. It’s also extremely difficult to get any customer service. Do not recommend.

I should've listened to the reviews but I didn't know it'd be this hard to ship 1 singular disc . I've been trying to get ahold of this company for two days now not only did they send my game way past the expected shipping I payed for they SENT THE GAME TO THE WRONG ADDRESS IN OREGON AND I LIVE IN ARIZONA. I double checked all my order confirmation and it states it's to be delivered to Arizona not OREGON. This company now won't even bother to get back to me about a refund or replacement so now I have to contact my bank and explain how hard they made this and hopefully I get my money back. PS I've also never been too or lived in Oregon in my entire life.

Unless you are ok with sending a copy of your ID and credit card in an unencrypted email (which no one should be ok with), a purchase cannot be completed.

Avoid this vendor at all costs - the fraud risk is way too high, and they are clueless about proper privacy and information handling.

From the rest of the 1 stars, very similar experience. Shipping took twice as long as advertised, had to contact support for a tracking number. As people have pointed out, nothing in their store is stocked, they take orders and fufil them through ebay, and then sell to you. Actually disgraceful scam, scummy practices that I will not be participating in again

Joseph was of GREAT assistance. Not only did he respond quickly but was extremely polite and made the entire experience a breeze. Thank you to him and the retro team.

Definitely well worth the price and the customer service is top notch compared to other classic game outlets.

I ordered ps3 July 30 2025 , it supposed to be delivered on Monday August 4 from the USPS at 1:30pm-5:30pm, cool I waited and than said it’s delivered in mailbox at 11:40am , I NEVER receive my ps3… right now it’s been 5 Day ..

I asked for a refund because my game that I bought from them was freezing up. I asked for a full refund and they said they would be more than happy to. Altogehter its been a real pleasurable experince.

I ordered a game and when I didn't receive anything from them, I reached out and they said they had no record of my order in their system. They asked me for the order number and that order belonged to someone with a different name. They then sent me an email thanking me for my order and apologized that I received the wrong product. They didn't even read my email. They just sent some BS response. I called them out on that and the guy apologized for their "computer error". BS. Scam.
