I have known Scott for many years, so I was really excited for him and Chris when they launched Revive Retold. Their hands-on experience with clothing for extreme weather truly sets them apart—they understand what actually works in real conditions.

As a petite 5ft woman, I’ve always struggled to find a jacket or coat that feels proportionate while still being reliable in all weather. Walking my dog is non-negotiable, whatever the conditions, so I needed something both practical and well-fitting.

After chatting with Scott, he confidently said, “No problem—I’ll make you one.” I wanted a longer coat to help keep my legs dry and protected, and what he created exceeded all expectations.

Scott designed a bespoke coat with incredible attention to detail. It has thoughtfully placed pockets for everything I need—dog treats, poo bags, toys, as well as my phone, tissues, and more—and, most importantly, it fits perfectly.

I absolutely love it and couldn’t recommend Revive Retold more highly. They are professional, considerate, and truly listen to what you want, while also offering honest and thoughtful advice.

I never thought I’d get excited about a wax jacket repair, but I am over the moon with the refurbishment of my faithful, heavily beaten up 20-year old Barbour jacket. It was worn, torn, falling apart in places, but Scott of Revive Retold has worked a miracle! I could not have wished for better service from start to finish, with Scott sending me full survey and advising me of numerous options for repair. I opted for the funky contrasting patches and I am totally delighted with the finished product! I even love the eco packaging and the inclusion of care advice.

You will not find a better solution for getting your favourite wax jacket refurbished. And they’re ex-Royal Marines, too - proper heroes.

Sent my 40 year old Barbour Gamefair jacket which was in a pretty bad state to Scott at Revive Retold, they did an exceptional job of bringing it back to life repairing all the rips, tears and holes, the result was way beyond my expectations. Great service, would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic service by Scott, 10/10. Scott restored my waxed Filson bibs. After a few seasons of hedgelaying they were in pieces. The work he did was nothing short of exceptional. His communication, eye for detail and quality of work is first class. Faultless. Will definitely use again.

In the absence of a service by Belstaff themselves then I would recommend this as a great option.

Slightly more expensive than the service that Barbour provide for their own jackets, however the jacket was returned in excellent condition with notes on how take care of it.

Nice touch that they sent photographs showing the outcome before it was returned to me.

Scott painstakingly restored my Barbour International jacket, which had previously been over waxed and had acquired a musty smell. I was kept fully informed during the process and received it back looking like it was when I bought it some 15 years ago! A testament to the work undertaken. Would thoroughly recommend this company and am sending them a second jacket to work their magic on!

Great people, great service. My old Barbour Stockman coat now looks brand new again. I did quite a bit of research before deciding where to send my coat for re-waxing. All the big providers came up first, but then these guys stood out as both personal and professional. The service provided was exactly that - and the price was right. What can I say? I approached Revive Retold regarding adding a liner into a Barbour jacket that didnt have the fixings for this. Initially spoke with Scott who was so helpful and knowledgeable. From initial contact to receiving finished jacket the service from Revive Retold was fantastic. I was kept informed constantly of the work that was being carried out and pictures when the work was completed.
The quality of the work is absolutely fantastic and at a great price too. I will use their workmanship again if required.

OMG ! what an amazing experience. My Barbour coat had not been looked after and needed some repair work, a good clean and wax.
Email response is so fast, keeping you updated and diagrams of work that will be done, dealing with a caring person. The coat looks like new, they are clearly perfectionists, price very reasonable too. I would thoroughly recommend these hard working people and their story is truly touching.

I am so thrilled to have discovered Revive Retold. I sent them my late mother's ancient Barbour which was in a state of complete disrepair; I had been wearing it since her death but it didn't keep me dry and frankly looked extremely tatty. I couldn't believe it when I opened my beautifully wrapped parcel just before Christmas: I have what looks like a brand new jacket, but with every single tear and hole lovingly repaired. I am delighted! In addition, I don't remember ever having such fantastic customer service; Scott kept me informed throughout the process, with helpful updates on extra repairs he thought it worth carrying out.
