I had a good experience, it was easy to find the pick-up location after arriving at the airport. Everything went smoothly. The price was also very affordable.

The car was clean and modern. The pick up and drop off was superb. Professional offices, well organised system, friendly staff. My best car hire experience to be honest. And good value too.

It was very simple and easy to collect and drop off our vehicle. Customer service was amazing. The vehicle we originally chose wasn't available so we was upgraded to a better vehicle with no extra charge.

When picking the car up, I was told to enter a code into a box next door, pick up the keys and go. The car was under a foot of snow, and took a good half an hour to make the car safe to drive. The staff are not considerate at all and don’t take extreme weather conditions into account (amber snow warning 28.10.25). Brought the car back a day early because of dangerous driving conditions. No refund offered and when I asked if I could take the car out in the afternoon on the second day, I was told the car was booked out to another customer, although I technically still had the car on hire until 8pm.

Super informative, easy to locate, and the keybox made it so quick to grab the car and go. The car was in great condition and gave us a smooth ride. Would highly recommend Reykjavik Rent a Car!

The car we were given had 250,000 km on it and was on its last legs. The windshield was dangerously pitted making driving in the sun very hard. The boot wouldn’t shut properly, passengers front window wouldn’t close properly and the entertainment console kept switching off.
We were an hour and a half away so couldn’t waste half a day to return it. Also got charged an extra £90 for breakdown cover?

The rental went very smoothly. Pick up and drop off were stress-free and efficient. We appreciated being able to pick up and drop off at 2 different locations. Drop off at the airport is an easy 5-minute walk to Keflavik airport. Our rental was brand new and drove very nicely. Everything about the experience helped make our visit memorable.

The car performed sensationally during our journey around Iceland, where we drove 4500 kilometers, including the demanding F-roads in the interior, and it even easily crossed a river! The Vitara handled every terrain without a problem, providing us with comfort and safety. Thanks to it, we could admire all the wonders of Iceland stress-free. We highly recommend it!
