Dealing with Right Choice Mobility has been a nightmare

Dealing with Right Choice Mobility has been an absolute nightmare.

My sister first came into this shop on Thursday 29th February, to look at wheel chairs for our mother who resides in a care home. Our mother is pretty immobile and has dementia and so, taking her to the shop is not an option.

My sister called later the same day to place an order for a Karma wheelchair, as they did not have the model in an 18” version in stock, and was promised that it would come in the next day.

She did not hear from them on the Friday and she called on the Saturday to arrange collection, to be told it wasn’t in and was definitely coming on Monday 4 March.

She went to collect it on 4 March, to be told the delivery wasn’t in yet and to come back later. She was not able to return on that day, so she called on the Tuesday to be told it still hadn’t come in.

My sister was never contacted about any delay. Our mother’s current wheel chair was broken and she was immobile.

My sister was waiting for a return call from Right Choice Mobility with an update, which never came.

She then rang again on Wednesday 6 March, to chase. She was told it was coming the next day. Again no call from the shop. She had to ring again.

She then spoke to someone in the shop to say we needed the wheelchair for Mother's Day so that we could take our mother out. At that point, they did call her back (the only time during this sorry saga!) to tell her that they would have the chair sent direct to the care home on Friday 8 March.

The chair was never received.

After eventually getting through to Right Choice Mobility on Saturday, 9 March, AGAIN after not receiving any call from them, she was told it had come in too late to get it to the home.

The person my sister spoke to dropped it at my sister's daughter's house, which was very inconvenient. It was in no wrapping and not accompanied by a copy invoice.

On top of all of this, when my sister took the chair to the care home, it was too small, and Right Choice Mobility refused to give a refund, despite the fact that they knew the situation with our mother's immobility and that it was impossible to know whether the chair would be the right size or not.

On what planet is this kind of service and treatment acceptable? Right Choice Mobility has shown itself to be incompetent and incapable of understanding the needs of elderly, infirm and immobile people. And their customer communication is truly woeful. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Karma has not covered itself in glory either, with its inability to keep to delivery times, and by having an appalling retailer like Right Choice Mobility selling its products.

Fast installation

Fast installation. Great post sales support. Immediate visits if any problems or I was "not sure how to ...." to adjust things or just explain how things work. Really stopped me being nervous using a new gadget.
