Issues addressed - lovely looking vanity and basin

We were so impressed by the range on the Riluxa website and promise of high quality products to fit into our high-spec dream bathroom. We selected a Corian basin and solid oak vanity.

As noted on a few reviews here, we experienced a few initial communication challenges – their employee in the office is not very responsive. He appears to be the only customer-facing Riluxa employee so the phone often goes unanswered or takes a long time to be picked up and I had to follow up unanswered emails with a phone call.

On placing the order, I confirmed the quoted delivery estimation of eight weeks and was reassured current lead times are six weeks. I also asked about the finish on the Corian basin and was told it was matte.

Order placed on 26th January, with 50% payment made.

On 23rd March, I received an email informing that the order was ready to dispatch and requesting remaining 50% payment, which I made the following day with the promise I would receive tracking details shortly.

With work on our bathroom due to start on 25th April, by mid-April I was getting nervous – especially having made full payment already in line with Riluxa’s terms. I telephoned and sent a number of emails to the office who assured me I would receive tracking details. There didn’t seem to be any sense of urgency, despite this becoming a concern for me so in desperation I sent a note to the Riluxa CEO. He was very responsive and there was immediate progress, with a logistics team emailing me and then a DHL tracking notification.

DHL didn’t deliver on the first two days promised in the tracking notifications but on 27th April the order was delivered.

The basin and vanity initially made quite the impression. We quickly realised the basin is a highly polished finish, not the matte look and feel we wanted to match our theme and as we had been assured would be the case by the Riluxa office. The oak vanity is rough to the touch and doesn’t appear to have been treated, both concerns that our highly experienced bathroom fitter confirmed were valid. With this rough finish and the grain exposed, you cannot wipe the product down and we are very anxious about whether it is at all waterproof or durable as required for a bathroom product and clearly stated on the Riluxa website.

I phoned Riluxa and, when the call wasn’t answered, sent an email to the office asking for reassurance on the waterproofing of the product, care and maintenance instructions and a response to my concerns about the overall quality of finish on something that is a premium, expensive purchase. Receiving no reply, I again sent a note to CEO, who was again quick to reply. His reply assured me the wood had been treated and included a link to a YouTube video (not a Riluxa video) of someone treating wood with something that completely changed the colour of the wood and resulted in it being very visibly apparent that treatment had taken place – entirely unlike the product we had received.

I asked for assurances that the wood won’t mark or stain on contact with water and these were provided by Riluxa who seemed to undertake a serious investigation which I could see the CEO got involved in which I think is a great sign of how they care about their customers. Despite assurances, we felt a smooth finish would be more hygienic so we are getting the vanity finely sanded and re-treated. We may get the basin resurfaced too - Riluxa kindly provided guidance on this and also refunded some of what we paid to cover the cost.

It is a lovely looking product and now we are getting it finished how we thought it would be in the first place and also Riluxa have addressed our concerns, we are happy. Thank you Riluxa team and the CEO in particular who obviously leads from the front.

This was my first order from Riluxa

This was my first order from Riluxa, but will not be the last. All parts - 3 sinks and a Slim Exkl. shower from Tres were delivered free of charge to Switzerland. Everything worked out tip-top. During the installation of the shower was then the distribution cartridge defective, which was replaced by Riluxa, after sending photos, immediately, uncomplicated and free of charge. 1A service! At the same time, a Grohe shower head from Santias Trösch also had a leak. Here I am still waiting for a replacement, after 3 months. First I should decalcify a new shower and when this did not fix the problem, was radio silence. The shower was twice as expensive as the one from Riluxa and the service is more like bad. So if anyone from Switzerland sees something nice from Riluxa, feel free to contact me, Grit has my Mail Adresse. I also have a super plumber who installs it - Zurich region.

This brand deserves a medal for EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service. Really and truly.

I cannot believe my incredible (positive!) Riluxa experience, really and truly. It was like something which doesn't exist in this world of consumerism. I was seeking a very high end and visually stunning bathtub for a particularly original/unique design project. Technical specifications were important (was for use outdoors, in a complicated and relatively small space). The advice from Ann at Customer Services was superb. As for the quality, choice and range of products available, this is really an amazing discovery...I just wish I had known before all those previous bathroom/spa projects!!! What happened next was really unexpected on all fronts. My project didn't get approval from the rest of the building committee so at the very last minute I had to cancel my order. Between Ann in Customer Services and Catherine in After Sales, we are talking about 2 of the NICEST, most human, kind, and professional experts in the world of retail. They did everything within their power AND BEYOND to make sure that as a customer, my financial loss and administrative complications were minimal. Honestly, Riluxa is an amazing brand - beautiful, high quality designs, and real, fast and personal in-person follow up and customer service. Way better even than in a shop!!! I can only super recommend. Looking forward already to my next purchase :-)

Quality products and a desire to resolve issues

We ordered a total of 3 sinks from Riluxa and in terms of design and quality everything very much matches the price. We had some issues with one sink relating to the tap hole position and a little damage to one of the Corian coated plug stop. Whilst not the quickest process, Riluxa stuck with us to resolve the issue which involved designing a backsplash which we are really happy with and a replacement plug stop. The one area I feel Riluxa fall down on is the courier service. Customer supplied tracking information and details of the courier would have helped a lot with some delays we experienced but we got there in the end and I cannot fault their helpfulness and desire to give us what we needed. Thank you

Love our new bathroom vanity unit

Really thrilled with our order which arrived last week. We were able to create a vanity unit to perfectly fit our tight space. It’s gorgeous and you can feel the quality. I think the price is reasonable given the quality materials and the made to measure service they provide.
I did have one issue where I changed my mind about the taps after placing the order. The team was very quick to process the change and made sure my order wasn’t delayed.

Very poor experience. Incorrect design and slow communications

I ordered an expensive custom sink and they made it to the wrong design. Terrible communications and the problem is still unresolved. I totally regret using Riluxa and would recommend others avoid them.

The design process was slow but we eventually signed off the CAD of the design we wanted. After waiting an inordinate amount of time for the sink to arrive, it was the wrong design and they sent the wrong brackets to mount it to the wall. Then another set of incorrect brackets were sent. Will their third be the right ones?

Communications are slow and frustrating. They have offered a small discount for the design error but it comes nowhere near fair compensation for their endless mistakes. Now I will have to start the process over with another (hopefully professional) company

Very bad service

Very bad service. We ordered a bathtub in August, scheduled to be delivered in week 42. After receiving no contact from the delivery company nor Riluxa, we decided to contact them ourselves. It turns out the company was waiting for us to confirm the delivery (?) despite the fact that we did confirm (via email!) that the bathtub has to arrive in week 42. The customer serivce worker promised us that the bathtub will be delivered on Monday, 25.10. An hour later we got the email confirmation, in which she backed out of her promise and now confirms the bathtub will be delivered in week 43 but can't specify the day. The worker was rude and couldn't wrap her head around the fact that we can't make the installation for the bathtub without the actual bathtub.
So now we have workers waiting for the bathtub to arrive so that they can drill holes in the floor, while we have no idea when the bathtub will arrive. We are facing a lot of extra costs because of Riluxa's irresponsible and straighout bad planning and service. Do not recommend!!!

Wrong sized item & no pickup of return for weeks

This is my second order with Riluxa. The first time there was an issue with some missing holes and attachments, but they addressed it reasonably quickly. So I gave them four stars. On my second order which was custom made they sent me an item with wrong measurements. To issue a refund they need to receive the item back. We have now been waiting several weeks for pickup. In the meantime we have a large bathroom vanity blocking our living room. Repeated inquiries are ignored or deflected. It’s very disappointing.

With made-to-measure items, it sometimes happens that mistakes are made. We do our best to ensure it does not happen much, but when it does, a replacement item is put into production as soon as possible. We also incur any necessary costs, to ensure you receive the correct item.

That being said, the return of your goods is dependent on the transport companies and even if we do our best, we have had some major transportation problems lately in the UK, which we apologise for (we're currently looking for new couriers as we speak, to improve our processes).

We've requested the pickup of your furniture several times, since August 31st, therefore are surprised that this issue hasn't been resolved yet. We'll contact you offline to keep you informed, and to fix this situation as soon as possible. Apologies once again for any inconvenience caused.

Shipping and delivery is a little late but it's worth the wait. The carrara marble bathroom sink we bought is very suitable for our carrara bathroom.

Beautiful bath

Beautiful bath
We are very pleased with the bath we ordered. We had very good communication with Riluxa when my plumber had questions prior to its arrival and they were very helpful.
I was a little concerned about ordering a bath online without seeing it but needn’t have worried. The quality is excellent and it looks fabulous in the bathroom.
I would happily order from Riluxa again.

Great Products but...................

Ordered a Carthage Oak vanity unit with Corian double sink. Firstly, the quality of the product is very good and I'd have no hesitation in recommending Riluxa in terms of product quality. The problem is everything else! This is a UK review so the comments are specific to my experience in the UK. So firstly, they rarely if ever answer the telephone. In the end I found it easier to telephone Spain. Secondly the speed of response on providing quotations is very slow. It took the best part of 8 weeks to finalise a quote. Responses to changes to were very slow. Finally, logistics. It took 4 weeks to deliver from Spain to UK and 3 attempts to make the actual final delivery to the dwelling. My advice is if you want good quality products then go ahead but you will need a great deal of time and patience.
