Absolute waste of money
Absolute waste of money. When anyone rings the doorbell, it never alerts my phone. It's showing as all working, I've checked all my settings. Only thing that works is live view, and that tells me I missed a door ring! Customer service in some non English speaking country is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Never, ever, waste your money on one!
Total rubbish
Total rubbish, always offline. When it does work someone will ring the bell and I get the alert 5 minutes later. Save your money.
Human help needed
Enabled two way authentication, changed my phone and cannot access Ring - it sends a code to my old phone and all help literally sends me in a circle and won't let me speak to a person - the phone number 08081965767 fails - this seems like an obvious issue that may occur but no help detailed, AI apologies but cannot help... all I want is access via a human! Would never buy again.

As if a few hundred for the device itself wasnt enough already, u then get £50 a year subcription charges, so your not far off £1000 to have a doorbell for 10 years - feels mental! Just buy a normal doorbell (£50ish) and a security camera (£100) and then that will be the only cost and will last a long time also. A secuirty camera will be able to record constantly too and cover a larger area of your property. Overall not impressed one bit by ring and their stupidly expensive doorbell - AVOID!
Not fit for purpose.
If someone’s at your door, and you try and answer on your phone, the app just spins. By the time it loads (if it ever does), they’ve given up and walked away. It’s constantly disconnecting itself too. It’s not fit for purpose.
Can't cancel orders
Can't cancel orders. They claim you can cancel within 45 minutes but that's nonsense. They removed the option. If you make a mistake in your order you now have to wait for the item to arrive then return it. A complete waste of my (and their) time.

Horrific customer service
Horrific customer service. The customer service reps are completely incompetent, including the supervisors. They have been sending me the wrong replacement product for over two months and they still can’t get their act together. I have so many products I can open up my own Ring warehouse.

Dishonest company
Absolutely disgraceful! I had my doorbell plus since 2021, moved to a different house and it still worked well, used the subscription and all was good. Suddenly on 4th November 2025 while on holiday I realised there was a problem then stared looking at the camera and realised it’s not picking up all the motion detection it use to. Called ring from abroad obviously no help as you need to be with the doorbell called when I came back I was told my camera was old and needed a new one. Bought a new one ring plus and the same problem!!!!
I have spent hours in the phone with Ring since November 25 to today only for them to tell me they have upgraded their system and my plus doorbell doesn’t cover the distance it use to!!!

Warrenty is a joke. I purchased some spotlight plug in cameras 4 months later had nothing but issues the main one the power lead keeps braking and it's supposly out of stock since August even thought they sell them on their website for the last 5 months they have not issued a replacement have sent me the wrong products and im left with my cameras offline. Absolute joke I have load of products and a subscription and im at my witts end with it all. Wish i would have never fell down the ring rabbit hole and avoided!!

Ring. I have never seen so many one star reviews. I have had a ring account for a couple of years now. My ring door bell is one of the most rubbish pieces of technology, I have ever had. It is so temperamental. One minute it works the next, it does not work. I will be cancelling my subscription in 2026. Do not buy this product. Look at other alternatives. Ring you need to get your act together. Rubbish product. No stars from me.

If I could give your customer service zero stars I would! You've sent the wrong item to replace a faulty item in warranty. You can't tell me when you can send the correct item. You expect me to pay someone to install the incorrect replacement, then come back and install the correct replacement. Absolute joke!

Worst ever abonnement. Broken camera (Ring) replaced by another Ring and needs a new abonnement, can not use the existing abonnement with 10 months left ... Scam ..... Never buy a Ring !!!!!
Missed notifications and poor quality of image and detection
The quality of the product is good but the alerts are poor , no matter how I configure I miss alerts and it dosent pick up most movement . The cheaper option I am trying now is much better cheaper and picks up everything. The quality of picture is far superior.

Dont use Ring.com for security system. They lied to about if my home security systrm can be hacked. It has, been hacked, several times leading to criminals activities. Several times i complained and, several times they fziled to upgrade for free because of there failings, and they failed to maje good will gesture, and compensation etc.

I am extremely disappointed with Ring’s handling of my return and refund.
Order Number: 005-1667882
I placed this order on 22/12/2025 by mistake and contacted Ring immediately. I was advised to wait for delivery and then return the item. Ring arranged the return collection themselves via DPD. The item was collected and successfully delivered back, and I have provided the tracking number as proof.
Despite this, over three weeks have now passed, and I still have not received my refund. I have contacted Ring multiple times by phone and email, repeatedly explaining the same situation. Each time, I am asked to restate the details, despite the fact that Ring arranged the return and has the tracking confirmation.
This is unacceptable. Under UK Consumer Rights regulations, refunds must be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. This timeframe has been exceeded without any valid explanation.
If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will have no option but to pursue recovery of my money via the UK Small Claims Court, along with any associated costs.
Very poor communication, unnecessary delays, and a highly stressful experience. I expected far better from a company of this size.

Don’t bother buying one it you use a VPN as they are compatible , so I have just been told by the customer service team . I’ve only been trying g to log into it for 6 months . They don’t tell you this when you by one .
Upgraded my subscription with no issues
Bought a Doorbell plus & Chime and was happy with the results. After the 30 day trial bought the basic subscription.
Decided a few months in, to add another outside camera. Wasn't aware that the basic subscription service only allowed one camera recording, and it was difficult to establish from the site and chat bots how I could upgrade my subscription without cancelling my basic subscription.
Started a monthly subscription to include both cameras with no confidence what would happen to my first subscription.
Ring refunded, pro-rata, my basic subscription and transferred me to the monthly within days - No problems.
The PiedPiper of Video Doorbells
Once the doorbell has been bought and it’s yearly warranty runs out you must upgrade it! They don’t tell you this before you buy! Company contact centres are based in Philippines as always! After speaking to the girl who asked me to click on Devices I saw it Offline and was told I had to recharge my battery for it to go Online again 🤔 which didn’t make sense to me ! Nevertheless took it back in to charge a good 3 hours and it is now back up and running but I would advise to refrain from buying one of these Ring video doorbells
