Robens make and test high quality products and sell at very competitive prices. In my recent purchase I researched many two man lightweight tents from different manufacturers and Robens stood out for me and so I purchased the Aster 2 pro - an excellent tent product with design considerations for the taller user.

Glad to eventually one and hopefully get out in the pioneer 2ex soon to try it out.

It was very difficult to buy a groundsheet for my tent. The shop told me there was plenty online so I bought the tent and 6 months later a groundsheet arrived for the updated version of my tent. I did not expect to have this problem.

My experience showed that neither the Chinese factory that produces these tents for Robens nor the company itself have adequate quality controls in place. Plus Robens customer service was dismissive and unhelpful when I tried to investigate a faulty tent with them.
The facts: I purchased a Robens Lodge 2 tent online. While testing its assembly, it became apparent that there was a critical issue with the alignment of the top short pole and the eyelets attached to the flysheet (used for securing the pole’s extremities). Even when applying full force, the top pole could not be inserted in both eyelets. The shop where I purchased the tent, tried to assemble a second Lodge 2 tent they had in store and found the same problem. The reasonable conclusion was that there was a batch of faulty tents. This raises serious concerns about the quality controls in place for such expensive tents.
In order to investigate the issue I wrote to Robens customer service, both sending photo evidence and detailed measurements of the problem. Their replies were unhelpful and dismissive. They sent a short video for assembling a tent of a different model at first, and then replied with a rude and dismissive email when I asked for more detailed information.
In conclusion: based on the lack of evidence of appropriate quality controls, the unhelpful customer service and the high price I do not recommend purchasing Robins products.

It took a while, but worth the wait. I bought spare chair feet and also soft ground feet and the customer service agent was able to combine the two orders so that I didn't pay twice for shipping.

Item delivered to my address in uk really quickly considering, very well packed and purchased with free postage which tipped the balance for me. Not had the opportunity to test the tent carpet yet, but quality looks good and look forward to the “extra comfort” the carpet will offer as we head into colder weather

My Robens Sprinter 2 tent survived two proper storms on a festival! And with clear weather I watched shooting stars from it with just the inner tent put up. It's superspacy (I use it as a 1-person tent). And the ventilation-option, inside laundry-lines and loops for the guy lines are tiny but very appreciated extra's!
