The company takes information from from transportation operators, but also the public. I have found it to be up-to-date and accurate.

Staff of the company are very helpful, I bought the ticket to Luton parkway station by mistake, I found the company running bus to Luton Airport, that's great, it cost less than the train to airport. It is highly recommend to people only have a backpack to travel. However, I search Google to get to the bus stop, it will takes me 15 mins round to the other side of the railway. I ask the company for advice, they said it takes less than 4 mins. Then I go through the Trustpilot review, people mentioned there is a path from the exit to the holiday inn hotel. I am so glad Trustpilot help me too. The Google map is not updated!

The extra information to get the route from Luton Parkway Rail Station to the bus stop, the google map doesn't help and give me wrong informations. Thank you Rome2Rio let me know the way.

The travel recommendations can seem completely bizarre. I was checking for options to find transfer methods from Paris Charles De Gaul airport to Paris Gare Du Nord railway station. It did show the cheapest option which is about £10 on local railways. But first listed a whole load of other options starting at about £150 !!! These were by train , taking several hours (quickest route is about 35mins) and sometimes going via other cities, even though the two places searched for are both in Paris!!!
Seems to favour sponsored providers or those where the site can make money from the booking. This could be easily misinterpreted by travellers not familiar with the area.

I have been using this firm for information perposes only for the last two years or so. I have not made any purchase through them so cannot comment on that side of their business. Generally they are fairly accurate in what they say but some of their timetables for trains and buses are totally wrong, so to avoid missing a train or bus please look at the operators timetable as Rome2Rio one in not accurate. For example -- the bust times they list for Lanstrafiken in Sweden are wrong. They list wrong times and buses that do not even run at the time they say --so please double check always with the train and bus companies.

I no longer use it. I just go to the website of the bus/train I want to use. The prices and times are inaccurate.

It's always usefull to find the alternative ways of traveling, and gives an estimate of prices too.
Another time I was traveling in a foreign country with not the best infrastructure, but Rome2Rio helped me plan my trip.

Shows an 400€ price to a flight from Schiphol yo Manilla, click and it instantly changes to 1000€. Are you even trying lol. Who falls for this.

I wanted to go from Northallerton Rail Station to Catterick Racecourse and back. The estimated cost on Rome2rio’s website was £28 to £35. This turned out to be pure fiction. When I entered my journey details on their website the cheapest taxi quote I got was £86. The dearest was £201. This for a round trip of only 24 miles.

dumbahh app, shii made me miss 3 busses and almost slept on the streets.

in past it ever managed to show all the travel options, so basically very unreliable as source of information.
And the tendency to default to unwanted travel methods. Eg search 'train to x' and it shows flights!
But recent updates make it much better

When I try to manage cookies I don’t know which way to toggle to reject each type of cookie, to the left or right. Is the default to deny? I wish there was a reject all option or that it showed you the toggle position for the required cookies, so I could set the others the opposite way. I will not use Rome2Rio unless it is more clear.

Below is what I submitted on their contact page:
Good morning,
I've been searching Banff, Alberta and the accommodation prices range from $58-$208. When I click "View Deal" prices are between $220 and $885/night. What accounts for this substantial difference in prices? Thank you.
The response I got was that the "estimates" are powered by Booking.com and Expedia.com and I need to get in touch with them. As far as I'm concerned, since they are in partnership, the bait and switch appearing on the Rome2Rio website reflects poorly on Rome2Rio. I have neither the time nor the interest to research further. Besides, I already know what they'll say, I've heard it a bunch before. Everyone blames the season or dynamic pricing or both. I've been searching the same package across multiple seasons since 2021 and I've never seen prices anywhere near as low as the estimated prices on any other site. I used to trust Rome2Rio to give me valuable information. Now they're just like other websites, full of misinformation and wasting my time. Ugh...

I was disappointed when I noticed Baghdad International Airport was the old one ( Saddam International airport) named in the app. However, my experience with their customer service completely changed my perspective.
Alan from Rome2Rio's support team responded to my complaint with genuine professionalism. He didn't just apologize - he personally ensured the developers fixed the issue within hours. What really impressed me was when he followed up with a screenshot confirming the correction, showing they truly cared about resolving the matter properly.
This level of attentive service is rare these days. While it started as a complaint, Rome2Rio turned it into a positive experience through their quick action and human approach. Alan's handling of the situation demonstrates their commitment to getting things right for their users.
I'm now much more confident using their service knowing they take accuracy and customer feedback this seriously. This is how customer support should always work.
(And yah GPT who wrote this because I'm too lazy to do this, But in short it was a very wonderful experience and a wonderful response from the support team)

I needed information about trains in Italy. The route for the day in August that I needed was very different from today's route. It actually changed from a 3 hour ride to an 11 hour excursion. It made no sense to me, so I contacted the Rome2Rio website. Juliet got back to me in just a few hours. She explained that the routes change by the day. She was very helpful and knowledgeable.
