Excellent Service and great featherweight vests

Placed an order for the featherweight vests from Ronhill and the service was excellent. Fast replies to emails, helpful staff, and accommodating to me when I made an error in the order. Speedy delivery too!

The vests were worn by 2 club members at Seville Marathon last weekend and the quality was superb. Super lightweight, frictionless, moisture wicking.

Would definitely recommend!

High Returns Cost

Shocked to find I had to pay £5.50 to return an item by Royal Mail. If I posted it myself it would not cost this. It much higher than other company's charge. Tried to respond to their email enquiring about how I found their customer service. The page would not load when I tried to leave a poor review.

Low quality for high prices.

Very disappointed with the quality of the products, which are marketed as being made using advanced technology and being designed to be durable. This is not my experience.
I purchased a 'Ronhill Men's Tech Gore-Tex Jacket
- Colour - Gunmetal' and after very light use over a two year period, the reflective strips on the sleeves have started to detach and tore the adjoining material. This is not acceptable and in my opinion, this is a design flaw and / or a quality issue. I would expect that rain jackets would have secure joints and seams and this is not the case. I have owned less expensive items of clothing that have much better quality.

When I contacted Ronhill they told me that they could not do anything as it was out of warranty and because I live overseas, which does not make sense to me. A company should not be able to sell defective products which are not fit for purpose and then dismiss their customers when they complain. Asking me to find someone to heat seal the reflective strips and repair the jacket is not a solution. The reflective strips have ripped the jacket in some locations and come loose 'cleanly' / completely in others. It is a rain jacket. I do not want a botch job to fix it which will never truly repair it, and that would be on the presumption that I could actually find someone locally that can do this work. I live in a rural area, so this is not a practical solution.

"Dr Ron gained a PhD in Textile Chemistry, from the University of Manchester and through alchemy and his art as a runner, began to rethink the fly-by-night running kit of the time." If this is the case then (1) they should understand how materials interact so that they do not come apart and (2) if they are notified of a flaw / design defect then they should be keen to fix the issue and make their customer whole, to ensure satisfaction and future business.

I have a different Ronhill jacket on order which is currently being courier to me (Royal Mail delay), which I ordered before realising the issue with the current one, and I am very worried that this will also be of a much lower quality than advertised.

I would not recommend Ronhill to anyone and at this stage I would not purchase any other products from them, unless they can acknowledge their fault and take responsibility for it.
