Avoid at all costs - this appears to be a scam.

Wish I’d read the reviews here before purchasing from Root Kitchen. Ordered and paid, but never received the order. I had luck getting a refund from them (at least I hope, it was a company card) by contacting another company they are affiliated with - but it should never have to come to that. They said they had recently moved fulfilment in house, as this was causing the issues, and the issues would be resolved. I chose not to review at the time because I believed this, but based on many more reviews since then, I don’t believe this has happened. Very disappointed and genuinely believe this company shouldn’t still be able to operate.

This firm is rubbishWhat would be good is if I could…

What would be good is if I could contact them. Did an order, money paid no acknowledgement received. Then received feedback request for order I hadn't had. Have emailed 3 times asking to speak. They have taken £50 off me, not given me the discount to £37.50 as promised and I have not received any meals. I understand a little delay because of Christmas but 13 days without any contact

Where's my order ?

Ordered 10 meals on 12/12/2025. Today is 23/12/2025...not had order delivered, and no reply to emails. Phoned the phone number for customer service..no ring tone,no answer, just went straight to voicemail.
Terrible service,wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered.
I would have given zero stars if that was an option.

No food

No food, no replies. Can confirm all the most recent reviews that I've been charged and never received the food - I ordered on November 22nd and it's not 8th December. Surely there's something we can do?

Poor

Ordered 3 weeks ago. Order still hasn’t arrived. This is so poor. The website should be shut down and not allowed to accept orders if they cannot fulfil them. I am not going to waste my time contacting them as it is clear to see from other reviews that they don’t respond.

Horrendous

Horrendous.

I never received my order, or a refund. I have tried every possible way to contact customer service with no reply. To date it has been three weeks.

Gift card order, meals never arrived, no customer service

My friend gave me a gift card for Root Kitchen as a postpartum present (excellent idea!!). I excitedly placed my order and received a confirmation email to say my order had been placed but there was no mention of when I should expect delivery. I gave it a little while to see if anything would come through but nothing did so I contacted them after a week. I got no response. I tried their online chat, their online form, email and a phone number that Google found - I had no response in any form. I have been receiving emails about reviewing the meals that I never received. So disappointed as I was really looking forward to my meals and they would have been a huge help with a new baby and there aren’t many vegan frozen meal companies out there. Without any customer service we’ve little hope of getting my friend a refund for her gift card.

Don't buy from this company

Don't buy from this company - no correspondence since taking payment, nothing delivered, no refund. Raised with bank as fraud to try and get the money back, out of principle. Wish I'd read the reviews on here before buying!

DO NOT place an order with this…

DO NOT place an order with this company. They take your money and do not provide any updates on when the order is likely to arrive! I’m still waiting for an order placed on 4/10, they do not respond to your emails or WhatsApp communication. I would go as far as saying this company is a scam 🤬

Scam

The website takes order but there is no way to follow up. I have tried reaching out using email, phone, and chat but there's no one responding. My payment went through and I haven't received my order or any updates. I wonder if a scammer has taken over the website.

Avoid !!!!!!

Place a order 9 days ago still not received I have emailed 5 times Facebook message twice and wattsapped twice and just ignored me all I wanted to know when my order would arrive . But as I said 9 days have past and no response very poor customer service Stay clear cannot comment on food because never received Funny really because ignored all my messages and emails but send a request for a review what a joke.
