This review is for Root Kitchen. Due to high demand - the company communicated with me regarding delivery issues with my 2nd order and kept me informed every step of the way until my parcel arrived. Once again all the meals were delicious and I have just sent through another order for 10 meals. Taste/Portion sizes are spot on and price is also a factor so I'm very happy to wait occasionally if I have to because demand is increasing with vegan meals. Highly recommended and great to take to work for lunch. Everyone always comments on how delicious they look and smell.

You got the consignment to Mallaig on time. Which is something many if not most traders fail to do,

The meals are yet to be tasted but are keenly anticipated.

My order never shipped and the team never responded to my inquiries. Is this real business?

No indication of how long I'd have to wait. No response when I queried it after a week of hearing nothing. Finally arrived after 2 weeks, battered and a few meals were different from what I actually ordered. That said I haven't tried the food yet but my daughter really enjoyed the shepherds pie.

ETA: I did get an email saying it was dispatched, but again this was after 2 weeks of having no idea if/ when I would get my order. The 2 meals I didn't receive were the ones I'd most want to try.

Quality food ..Reliable delivery...will be ordering again for my daughter she appreciates having a delicious nutritious go to meal when busy

The meals are affordable, the delivery time was great, and the flavours are lush.
The portion sizes and calorie content are perfect for me, and the convenience of having a freezer full of ready made meals for days help me manage my work/life balance!

Love the food from Root Kitchen because they are vegan and within the calories I was expecting. I had a smooth experience from ordering through delivery. Will be ordering regularly :)

Fantastic vegan food! Very fast dispatch & delivery! I tend to like plain foods, the simple vegetable shepherd's pie & Butternut squash lasagne, they are so yummy 😋 I've been having these meals well over 2 yrs, with a tiny break for summer where I had salads, but due to a number of health conditions I currently can't eat anything except these meals or I'm cramped up in pain. I also don't have the energy to cook or prepare anything-good old CFS & Fibromylgia, so these work perfectly for me!
David who owns root kitchen is wonderful, he's helped me some many times when I forgotten to place my order, or have a question.
I can't rate these guys Highly enough!
If you're thinking of ordering but not sure, I'd say definitely give it a go, you'll love the meals-there is plenty of choice, but I just stick as I said to my 2 simple favourite meals.

Overall some nice dishes that were very enjoyable. I had two issues, about three of my dishes had broken trays and were slightly open from the cellophane coming away from the food trays. Also I was sent two tikka masala’s when I ordered one tikka and one pasta, there wasn’t anything written on the delivery sheet about why. I messaged root kitchen via their email to ask why this was and unfortunately I didn’t get a response, which was a shame as I really enjoyed all the meals I got.

Tasty, convenient vegan meals. Perfect for busy days. Really comforting but still keeping to health goals. Yum!

The meals are real value for money... and at 400g per meal more than the average "microwave" meal. On top of that their service is always on point.

I like the honesty of the plant prepared food. Good value and very prompt in dealing with initial order.
Delivery and communication are very good.

2nd order with Root Kitchen. Food is ok, some more tasty than others but portion sizes are a bit small in my opinion for the money you pay. My first order was semi defrosted when it arrived & took a long time to come, customer service gave me money off my next order (this one) but yet again I’ve had to send an email asking where the heck the order is? I paid nearly 2 weeks ago. Having said that communication once established has been good. Perhaps I’ve just been unlucky but both times I’ve ordered it’s been nearly 2 weeks until I’ve had delivery of the meals but it’s a little disappointing I’m afraid. I cannot fault customer service, they have explained issues etc to me and offered to compensate

The food is watery, tastless and lack of substance. Oven ones take ages, a waste of power. Don't waste your money like I did, have not managed to eat one meal from them, disgusting.

Incorrect meals sent, but was addressed quickly, thanks. Of the 6 meals purchased, we enjoyed the curry based ones, however the Korean noodles was over-seasoned with pepper. Not bad overall, but not good enough to make me want to repurchase.

Delicious food Simple to prepare. Nutritious. No animal cruelty involved. Good customer service
