Great service
Was really easy to order what I wanted, customer service was excellent since this was the first time using this kind of service. Delivery was really easy to track (DPD didn't leave it where I requested but that's their issue not Root Kitchens). All meals I found to be a good portion and tasted great. Highly recommended.

Tasty meals
Some of the containers had the seal open or broken at arrival but it's ok..
The meals are tasty enough so far. I've tried four of them out of the 8 I ordered. I am kind of a big eater, so I find the portions a little bit small.

😢 Oh dear what a sad start to the day..... I've been looking into this since we got in this morning and luckily it seems like this is a fake, malicious review. I thought it was strange as our customer service team couldn't remember any conversations of this nature recently so I had a look through all our orders and there has never been an order from a 'Pete Anton'. I was more worried about the food going to waste to be honest as creating unnecessary food waste was the last thing we wanted to do when we started Root Kitchen. Let's face it - I'm never going to make my lunch at home BUT I still deserve to have something fresh & healthy at my finger tips when I start to crash around noon. Root Kitchen is a delicious no-brainer. And their customer service is impeccable.

Tasty meals in the freezer
Very tasty curry meals, noodles and shepherds’ pie to have in the freezer on standby when there’s no time to cook. I can recommend these. And Root Kitchen is extremely helpful and prompt to respond to queries - I couldn’t fault them on customer service.

Meh, overpriced
The food was okay, a bit overpriced for tiny microwave portions. They kept sending me the wrong item I kept getting moussaka instead of lasagna... and on the website it's really difficult to cancel the order it's not exactly in an obvious place.
Deliveries were an issue, they use DPD who literally just throw your parcel at your front door and run away, leaving it outside for hours while at work (and potentially stolen)

The meals arrived quickly and we're left on front doorstep as requested. There was rather a lot of internal packaging which included 3 lots of silver ice gel pods and 2 lots of felt material. I can see that this is to keep the food frozen for as long as possible. But it would be nice to have the option to return this packaging perhapse on the next delivery!

Food looks amazing and the timing of delivery is great, unfortunately the meals were defrosted when they arrived with me. I spoke to customer care who were apologetic and have me a refund.

Quick, tasty, healthy food
Recently placed my first order and I'm really impressed with the food already.
The portion sizes are perfect, the taste is phenomenal and the price is great. Could do with more protein in the meals but this is the only suggestion.
I was concerned about delivery and sent an email to enquire about it but one of the Co owners sent me a very quick reply putting me at ease.
Will definitely try more of the range in future.
