Unhappy at how my detailed enquiries about a specific motorhome were ignored

Salesman was pleasant and helpful, first phoned on a friday, gave me personal e mail address to ask questions first few were answered Website stated sales didnt re open til the wednesday when they were suppised to be open again as not got any more e mail replies assumed not working sat to weds as i had sent further questions which were ignored, I was disappointed as was more or less ready to buy it and was intending placing down a deposit to buy subject to viewing , when had a further chat on details and if anything could be thrown in to do the deal as £55k is a lot of money so not rush in without full info, Phoned on the weds , all ready to go ahead subject to conversation, only to be told it was sold it behind my back to someone else over the bank holiday without informing me there was another buyer in the offing or that they were doing buisiness on days the website stated sales were closed, Salesman says will notify me if sale falls through but reading some other trust pilot reviews here maybe i had a lucky escape.. but right now very disappointed

Far too risky

Nice people, really friendly service. Good modern well maintained vans. But beware. Big vans on narrow roads are a huge risk.
We scratched ours. And I mean scratched. They told me it was nothing and not to worry about it. Then they billed the repair to my credit card and charged me much more than the cost of the hire itself.
My advice? Rent a cottage. Same price far less risk.

Excellent experience

We recently bought our used VW campervan from Roseisle. Excellent customer service. The team went above and beyond and the vehicle is immaculate - would definitely recommend them.

The best buying experience of our extended camping lives?

I'm making this review whilst fully aware of the previous poor comments in respect of purchases from RoseIsle - with brilliant ones regarding this same company's hire services: rather confusing & conflicting.
Having taken delivery of an ex-hire 2018 Hymer Yosemite a couple of months ago and able to "digest" the whole experience, I can only state that the service I received from RoseIsle was exemplary. We cannot fault anything that this company's operatives (at all levels) did for us; believe me, we'd certainly not hesitate to say otherwise if anything had gone wrongly.
I did not sight the previous purchasers' comments until I had completed my own buy from RoseIsle, otherwise I may have thought twice about it. Why such bad reviews were raised, I don't know... but obviously my experience says otherwise - big time.
I'd have no hesitation in dealing with RoseIsle following our recent and satisfying experience with it. Furthermore, I can give assurances that I have no connections whatsoever with RoseIsle or its operatives/employees.
With many years' camping experience and having sold our large German motorhome, we merely considered downsizing or just opting for package holidays - no more than that.
But, by chance, we just happen to pass RoseIsle's premises on our return home from a very pleasant few days at the nearby Carberry Tower Mansion House.
No pressure salesmanship. Just exchange of ideas, options, choices, and then the reality of re-engaging into the camping world.
We played straight with them. They did same with us.
The rest came easily, without stress: the way we like it (we've walked away from "uncomfortable" sales scenarios before now).
Need I say more?

The most appalling company I have ever…

The most appalling company I have ever dealt with. They sold us a motorhome last November that has a broken gas locker and no carpet as detailed in the sales advert. We found out a couple of weeks later that the rear lights had been wired wrong and the vehicle did not comply with the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989. I therefore felt that I could not drive it until the lights were fixed. They promised to fix in January, which we agreed to. Phone call after phone call resulted in no action. Eventually they contacted us in April suggesting that we wait until June since they were busy with motorhome hires and did not want to let down customers that had paid a couple of thousand pounds for a holiday. I pointed out we had paid £60,000 for a vehicle that we could not use. They eventually agreed to do the required repairs and offered a free habitation as “compensation “ for having an unusable vehicle for so long. The motorhome was picked up and returned a week later. The driver confirmed that habitation was offered. Lights, gas locker fixed. Carpet supplied. He told us that the habitation had been done but a phone message was left that afternoon saying that it had not been done after all. Even worse a scrape up the full height of the motorhome which they said wasn’t us, must have been your gate post. I pointed out out gate posts are only 5’6” high. They promised to sort it out and make it right. Complete silence since then. They also had the gall to invoice £50 for the fuel required to carry out the repairs that they should never have sold a vehicle requiring. I greatly regret ever being taken in by their sales pitch. Their customer service is awful. If I could, I would cancel the whole deal and buy from someone who actually cares about their customers. Flowers and wine were a nice touch but I would much rather they had properly checked out the vehicle before selling it to us.
