Good structure of the online shop, easy payment, quick and safe delivery in time. It was already my third order.
I love the website but keeping track of your order and account is not made easy. Still waiting on my first order to arrive. I don't know why you have to wait for the company to update you by email rather thank just checking order status on an individual account. Especially when you're meant to wait weeks on end for back order items. I don't mind the waiting but I'd like to be able to follow up on my own.
The lamp arrived in a damaged box and when unpacked and connected, only half of the LED lights worked.
Shocking.

The table sets are very nice but they were not properly packed for the transport - only in an envelope. They got scratches and “grooves” during the delivery. Very disappointing...

Impressed by the very tasteful selection of fittings. One of the best sites for it. Also order lamps, delivery and price top notch compared to competitors.
I bought a rather expensive lamp from Louis Poulsen - as I just moved into a new place. When I received it a part of it was broken.
I called the German number, but it seems the phone is not working.
Then I called the danish number and got a Swedish support agent. They were not very forthcoming, and told me I had to sent a photo of it to the German email.
So I did Tuesday last week, got an auto reply saying it takes 48 hours for reply.
I emailed again Sunday to let know this is urgent.
Now Tuesday still no reply.
I have no light, I have two huge boxes taking up space, and I have spent 700 euros.
Furthermore, I expect when I finally hear back, that I’ll be ask to sent it back. And first when they receive it they’ll sent a new.
Which means it’ll take several weeks for me with my money in their hands, a broken lamp, no light and major boxes taken up space.
Then from there I can wait another few weeks to receive what I ordered in the first place not broken.
In an case, no rely or help or access to contact is really frustrating.

Horrible experience. The site induces to believe they have a base in Switzerland. So, as importation, the taxes can have more than 50% of the value of product offered in the site. The company misleads intentionally consumers. In summary, they have a questionable ethic. I wouldn’t recommend at all this company.

The royal design website is a completely hoax! avoid it if you can! it makes you to believe its a swiss based company and everything should be shipped from there. just got a message from FedEX asking me to pay £42.35 import fee as things were imported from outside EU! this doesnt get mentioned anywhere when I placed my order, not even a small friendly warning. be aware and stay away!! worst ever online shopping experience. call their UK based contact number, rang for 15 minutes and no one answered the call.
Oh haven't mentioned that you can not reject your order unless you are ready to endure a cost of £25 from Royal Design as fees they charged for 'uncollected order'.

Very disappointing, the 1dt order went well, but then, nothing works. Part of the order is not in stock, since 3 weeks I learn from week to week that the missing parts will arrive at the stock, but some days later another delay... My request to send a partial delivery: not possible due to internal guidelines, my question when the missing parts will arrive 'most probably they arrived already'...," we need another week to the goods ready for despatch to you. " ...and a lot of excuses, but no concession on Royal design(RD) side, the only thing which worked without any problem: deduction from my credit card after order setting!!! All ideas and request to find a customer oriented solution are replied by no: no partly delivery, no compensation, no apologisies. The hotline lady was friendly without any possiblity to solve only:" you can cancel the goods which are still not in stock" and she told me that there is no obligation to the information mentioned on the website, "we exclued this in are Terms& Conditions". This is not a serious business partner. I hope that at least the goods which were announced to be in stock, will be delivered now and the payment for the cancelled goods returned without any delay to my account.
=> let's see if you keep your promise and not only nice words...

This is the second time l ordered from this website and l'm disappointed that they 'again' didn't ship my order in the promised delivery time. It's been 8 days and still no action towards delivery. They don't accept cancellations for an undelivered item. No more Royal Design.

Fooled me to think its a Swiss company and the T’s & C’s are so well hidden that I only realized there will be import duties when I was asked to rate my experience and I saw the comments from others...
Well this RoyalDesign can take their Royalty elsewhere, will never support them again and will make use of social platforms to spread the word about their nastiness. Wish I could rate zero!!!!

i just want to see my order and change the delivery address, or cancel it, but i cant even find my order to do a quick cancellation, why make it so difficult?
[Edit] customer service replied very quickly and cancelled my order. Glad it worked out.
Was looking for a Japanese Nabe slow cooking pot and dreading the prices I'd find for Switzerland.. But! Found the Royal Design site and their biggest Nabe pot at an amazing discount with an affordable FedEx charge for delivery. I'm still a little stunned by how smoothly that went! Thanks so much!

As a customer living in Switzerland, I am being fooled to think this is a online shop sending deliveries within my country. Ugly surprise getting the customs bill a couple of weeks after the delivery. To have to search through the AGB's to find this information is not clear enough.
