Worst online shopping experience in my life!

- They lie about availability of articles --> articles that are marked as in stock have to be ordered from external
- Long waiting time. --> I am waiting from my delivery for 6 weeks now. I was asking if they could send the items in two batches - the available ones now and the ones they have to order external later, so that i don't have to wait for so long. I was told this was not possible. (I ordered about 20 Items.)
- Today I received a writing saying that some items are finally leaving the store. Yes some.. as the others they are waiting for will be sent on a later point. super paradox to my request above. Also later today I received a new message saying that after 2 months, everything got canceled. the payment was sent back to me, and if I am still interested in the items i need to place A NEW ORDER! And probably start waiting again for several weeks. or months.. who knows.

Update: As they have my Items and were about to send them, I asked if i cannot just transfer the money back, that they sent to me, so that they can finally send me the items i am waiting for more than 6 weeks.
Royal Design just doesn't care. They said they are sorry but there is nothing they can do. So they are obviously not sorry! This is just unbelievable! How can you treat paying customers like that?!

This company is one big shitshow!

Many products are not available

Many products are not available. delivery times are inaccurate.
Sometimes availabel, and when to proceeed to payment it says only 5 instead of the 8 wanted available. Complete order will be Held back.
We had one order from feb with delivery 8-10 weeks. It was automatically cancelled by the system without notification. I realized this when money was returned to credit Card.
Help desk is very nice and helpfull, with limitations.

Completey disorganized

Completey disorganized! Stay away from ordering!

By mid December I have ordered a sauce boat together with the matching bottom plate. But Royal design sent only two sauce boats. I informed them via email attaching the pictures and was able to reach them on the phone in Sweden (dont try that, you will die in the holding line). They told me they have to check the failure in their "ultra modern automated logistics centre".

Result: I received a third sauce boat three weeks later. When complaining, the German support centre asked me to send a picture, again! I did so and on beginning of February I received an email telling me, that they were now able to order the right piece and I shall receive it by 25th February. Needless to say, that nothing has arrived so far. Objects have been paid and I wonder whether I will ever receive the bottom plate. What a disaster

Mein neuer Lieblings Shop!
We had some serious problems with the delivery, but Royal was very professional and gave us the support we needed to get the birthday present just right in time.
Royal Design is my new favourite internet shop! Perfect! By the way the watch is just gorgeous!!! Good Job!

Not at all convenient

1. Shipping took several weeks longer than indicated before order placement.
2. Absolutely no information about the delay. I had to ask for info at the German customer service. Which had no clue at all and told me that the Swedish colleagues will get back to me. Aha. So why do you even have a German service phone???
3. The shipping was executed by fedex who passed on the shipping task to TNT Mannheim - by far the worst delivery company on the planet!!! Never arrived. No notification in the post box or any try of delivering to my neighbours.
4. So I checked the fedex track and trace by coincidence and had to find out they hat already two failed attempts! Called fedex - they were unable to reach TNT (seriously??) and told my I should try later. Aha.
5. So I called TNT. Completely unacceptable unfriendly behavior on the phone accusing me of not being home 24h without even knowing if at all or in which century they gonna show up. Super rude and on top not able to agree simple things like PUT THE BOX IN THE FRIGGIN GARDEN UNDER THE TABLE! Or give it to my neighbor.
6. What actually happened: they delivered the box in my neighbors garden!! At least the first part of the delivery.

To shorten this, the second part of the delivery was screwed in a similar way.

Fun fact: not only had royaldesign literally never answered any of my requests within less than 3-5 days - when TNT was not able to deliver and After I CALLED TNT, it was reported to royaldesign and then royaldesign contacted me. Saying: if you don’t make it possible for the delivery company to deliver we need to charge you 15€.
I replied and by the was did make it possible for TNT to deliver a week ago. haven’t received a reply from royaldesign till date.

For sure: will never ever again order with royaldesign and will try avoiding TNT for life.

Poor and unresponsive customer service

I ordered a tv sideboard about a month ago. Two weeks later the legs arrived but nothing else. I called customer service which after 25 minutes on hold ensured me in a rush that the rest of my order would be dispatched soon. However, I have never received any update on the order status nor any written confirmation despite several email inquiries. It’s understandable if there are difficulties with the delivery as long as customers are kept informed but ignoring customers is unacceptable!!

the worst online shopping experience I had in the last ten years. Very poor communication, very bad shipping, intransparent prizes. It was very stressfull to get my delivery. Never ever again.

Never ever again!!!!

It was one of the most Delivery in my experience. No one informed me that 16 kg package will be arriving at what day and time, and the delivery person just left it outside the house. There were extra charges to bring the package inside the Appartement!!!

Inconvenient return process

Their checkout runs completely on Klarna - no log in or account required - which is convenient until you need to return your order.
Their instructions state that to return your order, you must first send an email to notify them. However, I have gotten no response for a week. Customer support line also told me that emailing was the way to go. Had they kept the feature of having customer accounts on their site this process would have been way easier. Having to inform via email before one can return their order also seems very contradicting to the advanced convenience they offer by running everything on only Klarna at checkout.

I have ordered from royal design…

I have ordered from royal design several times in the past and I fortunately had no issues, however, this time, i have ordered all items that were shown as in stock but only one item has come so far. All items seems to be sent separately and one item is missing during delivery and I have not heard from royal design concerning this item after contacting them. Another item seems to be sent 3 weeks after ordering. Delivery from fedex also tends to be problematic by not leaving delivery notice when they come so you do not know that they were here and you have no way of contacting and tracking the package. To have a package delivered per item means you have that many chances of delivery issues. It is not a nice purchasing experience. I would probably not oder from them again after this experience.

Easy ordering

The ordering process for the wanted product was simple and straightforward. I found what I need very quickily and the price is also compatible. The Fedex delivery is also a great plus.
I am hoping that delivery when I get it will also be a positive experience.
So far so goo!

I ordered 2 months ago and still didn't get my order. I was promised at the beginning it will take only one month to arrive. The communication about it is really poor.
